The lodge fell far below our expectations, as it appeared to lack basic upkeep and adequate amenities. The rooms were cramped and poorly equipped - for instance, the TV was an outdated small square monitor mounted on the wall, while the dishes were kept in a flimsy plastic basket that was hardly suitable for dining in. The bedding looked old and worn, with the duvet inner not even fitting the casing properly. To make matters worse, there was no cellphone or wifi signal within the rooms, and the neighbours were blasting their music at a deafening volume. As the lodge was located near a road, the noise from passing cars only added to the discomfort. Essentially, this place did not offer the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that one seeks when trying to escape the city. We stayed for only one night and were eager to leave the next morning. Our recent weekend getaway was not due to a lack of financial resources, but rather, it was graciously gifted to us. Please do not be narrow-minded in assuming that we are incapable of affording our own high-end retreats. In fact, we are fortunate enough to have the means to indulge in luxurious and upscale destinations. Moreover, if there are individuals who are unable to finance such endeavors, it may be because of the subpar and inexpensive amenities offered at your lodge. When my husband finally managed to get a one bar signal on his phone, he attempted to contact you regarding the noise disturbance but was advised to wait it out. With regards to going through a tough time, it rather seems that your lodge is the one facing difficulties and going through a hard time. Rather than criticizing your clients on things you sucked out your thumb and know nothing about, it may be more beneficial to consider their feedback and use it to improve your lodge.

Stunning atmosphere will surely come again. Friendly service, and..... oh yes when we got to reception we found this very friendly guy wearing an apron lol, friendly is a total understatement he was actually busy baking bread and was managing reception 😅 well done Shangrila. We felt at home right from booking in. We are going home today ... don't want to. We will visit again. Thx for a lovely weekend.

The management and staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of space for kids to play. The Zanzibar cottage unit is cozy and comfy. We didn't have much time there, but the little time we had, we enjoyed!

It was an absolutely terrible experience. The water shocked my boyfriend. There was continuous power cuts. All in the Honeymoon suite. We will never go back.

The manager was great 👍 👌. The room were OK for a two star lodge. Located next to the main road which is good. Security tight, it's safe. There are restaurants nearby which you can order in as well. We enjoyed our stay

We had booked Ubuntu for the weekend and we had a blast. Our apologies for noise making , although it couldn't be helped. Harry's service is top notch. Boipelo was also great with the guests.The only issue we had was that the cleaner came there only when we requested for them and it was a bit late.

Wooow what you see on internet is the same beautiful, attractive, their rooms are so neat as for the friendly staff: Memory what a sweet person and Boipelo is amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this place again and recommend to my family and friends.

Our stay early November was not good the promise of peace and tranquility did not materialize. Unfortunately we had to move because of a noise Factor from the guests staying in the lodge. As suggested by Harry I have sent a what's app and an email re a refund for last night both have been ignored.

What a disapointment!! The place has got such potential but peace and tranquility???? Sorry, no such thing!! Some people just have no respect for others that want peace an quiet!! No control over loud music! Private ablusion block breeding place for mosquitos and spiders, tried to clean it ourselves. Sorry, never again will we visit this place!

Giraffe private ablution camp site we booked for a week. Not as per website photo's, no grass at campsite lot's of red sand, no restaurant. Our kitchen was dusty and the bathroom had no space to pack anything. After it was cleaned by them, we had to clean again.

The swimming pool and wifi that was shown on the advertisement was not there. You have to pay the balance on your arrival with the some money incase you damage something which was not discussed when we were booking. The are some dogs and cat roaming around they ate our biltong. On our checkout the guy responsible for the payment was not there so that he can refund us the money we paid for incase we broke something.

Shangrila-innibos Country lodge is an amazing place if you want to get away from the city and relax with nature. The host and staff are amazing and willing to assist with all of your needs. The animals at the estate are friendly and give you a warm welcome.

My brother and his Girlfriend booked on Booking. Com and payed for a braking deposit with booking. Com on the 25 of Maart. Well after phonecalls with the owner and Message still no money was payed back to them. Now there is stories of the rooms are different priced with booking. Com. Unexpected for a business and just basic human rules. I will go on with bad reviews until this is sorted out. The couple was Martin and Landi that booked with you.

Campsites needs updating. Bathroom was very dirty. Campsites are too small for a caravan. Perfect to camp with a tent.

I traveled with my wife, 2 boys and new born baby of 3 months. Upon arrival our last night wasn't canceled and the manager was confused as to what rate we were paying.. Especially in a hot day and tiring drive.. Management should be ontop of things..like this . He seemed unphased. We found a camping site that was badly prepared.. Most if the leaves and broken off branches were the raked to the side. The bathroom light was out and despite this being reported was only fixed around sunset the following day (Saturday). The staff despite being ok, was mostly foreigners, spoke bad English, untrained, no recognizable uniform and do not know anything about the courtesies of the tourism industry. Sadly that was a bad decision by this establishment. I myself come from a tourism background and with 20 years experience in hotels and marketing and being an avid traveler myself it surprised me that everyone was so calm when so much more could be done to make the stay of people more pleasurable. Despite rules there was a party going till 3 am in the morning close to reception and no one seem to enforce the house rules. The next day (sautuday) for about 2 hrs we had one of the staff member nailing down roofing sheets. Which disturbed my little ones sleep and left us with a grumpy baby. Overall: a place I would not recommend and if I had my way I would have requested a partial to full refund from this establishment The best feature was probably the fact that there are multiple pools (which was also not the cleanest) I wouldn't want to stay there again Overprice camping sites. Didn't stay in a chalet Located within 5 minutes drive from a supermarket, filling station and local attractions

Overall a very nice area. It has multiple pools and is conveniently located. Some attention to detail is needed in terms of the cleanliness though. Upon arrival the bathrooms in the camping terrains looked like they hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. There are also rusted metal bits sticking out in one of the pools. Overall very positive experience but small improvements can be made

Very welcoming atmosphere. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious. Pool and grounds are well kept. Overall good value for money!

Harry and staff were very friendly. We camped at the Buffalo camp site and enjoyed being far from everyone however our neighbours played loud music all night into the morning.

We were given rooms that are very dirty , with spider webs , frogs on the shower. It was horrible camping experience in my life. We booked for the rooms then we were given tents without any communication. If you know what’s good for you , do not book Shangrilla !Very noisy, dirty rooms, no dustbins, dirty bedding was just a disaster don’t think those tents were cleaned before we check inn. Aibo 🥹

The place looked nothing like the pictures and after advising management they agreed to refund but till date has not done so ... Pathetic client care would never recommend

Wonderful peaceful place to unwind. The peacocks however, get loud at night. Another thing is that there needs to be maintenance on their facilities, i.e the sewerage. A great place in general.

Staying at Shangrila-innibos Country Lodge is a great expereince. The staff are friendly. The atmosphere is peaceful. The owners treat you as if you are their friend. They look after you real well.

I'm working on a project in Brits which could lead to months so would like to find a long term stay around and decided I should stay in Harties! So then I came across Shangrila Innibos, which I was amazed by their services and room especially with plenty of animals such as peacock chickens.. cats..especially the dog Bella.. also managed to become friends with the chicken families and their little chicklings...haha But overall I would like to say is that... this place is amazing especially if you looking for a long term stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful regardless what you need. If you need some peace and quiet away from the cities... Shangrila Innibos is the place! Very African environment and vibe if that's what you enjoy :)

After booking was confirmed regarding two seperate rooms, we were allocated a single room, without prior notice. The fact that one night extra in the booked rooms was not available, was not discussed, not even upon arrival. I know everyone is hardup for bookings in these times, but honesty is surely a beter policy. I am still awaiting the return of my breakage fee. We left 1 night earlier ....

Check out time is ridiculous 11:00am. Lost deposit because of few minutes late.

It's a nice place but can do with a few finer touches, e.g. no dustbin on the bedroom, the chair was in front of the only available clothing cupboard, little things that just add to the comfort for their guests.

Great place for a weekend getaway. Not the nicest place I've ever been to, but it delivers on what it promises. Heaven in the bush!

Take slops to wear when you use the shower, take your own cooking utensils if you decide on cooking and not braaing or eating out. The bathroom had dead flies in it - I don't think it was cleaned before our arrival. The toaster and two plate stove was rusted.

The place offers a tranquil atmosphere, especially if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The location is great. However, the rooms are not really clean, the kitchenette was a shame and the hosts are not readily available to come to your service/assistance. The place needs some improvement.
