Great getaway, it is mind refreshing place. Me and my partner had a fantastic time with. Our bedroom was so romantic and they egyptian cotton for their linen. The kitchen, has everything, one needs for self catering. The outside shower very nice to explore and life time experience. The deck experience with outside fire was awesome listening to nature and no need for music. The jacuzzi, the pool, the river sounds and the spa treatment by the river was therapeutic. The host and the staff were the best from arrival till we left the place. Relaxed so well and its definately a place to go back to. Anyone who wants to have fun, peace, and to be one with nature I recommend this place for you

Such a beautiful place and a hidden gem to most. We were there for a full day spa package and had an amazing experience. The spa treatments were done next to the river and it was so serene and calming. The beauticians were so attentive to our needs and the treatments we received from them were perfect. We felt so relaxed. The food was also delicious. Will definitely return soon.

This place was absolutely amazing. Christine and her staff were so accomadating in every possible way. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, clean and stocked with everything we needed. . We stay over in alot of places in Harties and this was by far our favorite place.

Went there with my sisters for a spa day. What an amazing time we had. The scenery, the sound of the river the wonderful therapists. Beautiful. Definitely worth the drive from joburg

This must have been a beautiful retreat during it's heyday. The staff are friendly and willing to assist. There is however a large amount of TLC that is needed with attention to detail required. Stepping stones are slippery to the outdoor shower, towels are frayed along the edges, shower floor tiles are loosening and the exit over the bridge is dubious. No spa was available due to the recent flooding that has caused some damage, but we were not informed of this ahead of time. The pool is in a beautiful condition. The staff start the bonfire for you, and a complimentary sherry and chocolate are lovely touches. This has potential to be a special place and I hope that it returns to its previous stature.

If you love nature untamed, then this is the place to be. Christine and her staff are wonderful people and welcoming. The place recently got flooded and most of the infrastructure is damaged and/or lost. I recommend that they close and renovate the place before taking bookings. I booked for a massage by the river and my expectations were not met.

Christine and her team were absolutely amazing. They unfortunately had flood damage the day before we arrived, but she upgraded our room, made a plan for our spa treatments and really went above and beyond to make our stay amazing through the difficulties they were experiencing. I highly recommend supporting this establishment, apart from the great service, the place is so peaceful and beautiful.

Discovered this gem of a place in harties. From the get go as you drive through the gate your experience starts. From a super friendly greeting by the staff to welcome night caps by the fire to completely quiet felt like we were miles and miles away from anyone or anything, to a spa day by the river the next morning. We had complete privacy. I felt like i could exhale. Iris retreat was exactly what i needed. Would do it every weekend. What an experience. Loved it.

I am not one to take the time to write reviews but this place deserves my praise! We booked 2 cottages for this past weekend for 2 couples. The Hideaway cottage and the Plantation Bungalow. I was so overwhelmed by the service we received from the friendly owner Christine to the staff working there. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Simon and the boys looked after our fire pits by making sure we always had enough wood, starting our fires, lighting the candles everywhere at night and were on call 24/7 if needed. they even gave us complimentary sherry the second night we were there and Christine squeezed us in for a few massages at the spa. Our accommodation was luxurious and absolutely beautiful. the beds were heavenly and the towels in the bathroom were fluffy and light. Its unfortunate that the nearby traffic could be heard during the day a bit but it was quiet at night and it really didn't bother us at all. Overall we had an incredible time and loved this place so much, we are already planning to take other friends and family back soon. Thank you to Christine and her staff for having us and being such great hosts. WE HAVE FOUND A GEM! :)

Nested in the midst of natural surroundings yet so spacious,classy and private. The most welcoming host Christen who's so accommodating and staff so helpful who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable...that much more special. 10 out of 10

What an amazing place. The natural environment is breathtaking. Enjoyed my full family retreat at an amazingly affordable prices with probably the best finger lunch I ever had. Enjoyed the massage and the staff, with Jafta in particular were really amazing. The Host was really wonderful, friendly and attentive.
