When you arrive the owner will be friendly and all but once you checked in, he will start being funny and so arrogant. Our last day he accused us of stealing two teaspoons, and we had to wait for him to come back from church in order for us to check out. It is not a nice place to go and relax. We had a bad experience

WOW… What a dump.. Dirty swimming pool with a broken pump, grass that is more turf (peat soil) than grass, workers constantly around with spades and wheelbarrows, digging, chopping, sawing, etc. making it uncomfortable to be in a swimsuit and piles of rubble all around. Don’t ever go here… (I had to give it one star to be able to add this post. )

The accommodation is first class. It's 5 min. away from Brits Mall. The chalets have a TV and bathroom with shower a basin and braai facilities. They have open view HD. The 2 bed chalet is fitted with a fridge, microwave and 1 plate stove. The natural trees and rocks are still in their original place. There is a lot of birds and dassies. Each chalet has its own parking bay. There is a play park for children. Mostly it is an ideal place for a quiet get away.

Good service when we arrived. But at the end they refused to give us back our deposit because key was left in door, we left at 5am and the office was still closed. Although the lady said there was no damages she still wont refund. Very bad service, this place wont ever see us again. Very bad and unprofessional.

The management failed to pay back my deposit money as agreed. They come up with stories in order not to pay me

It has not been the first time we had an event at Dassie Palace. Each time the food was amazing, from finger snacks to meals. The venue itself is beautiful, between the rocks and big trees. Ideal for any event inside or outside. Their service is great, well-priced for a hassle-free event. Thank you to the staff and management, it's a real honor to visit your venue each time knowing everything will be taken care of.

This was the freakiest place I've ever stayed in South Africa. The photos on the website do not portray an accurate picture of the entire location. Bring your own towels, bedding, and doom. Don't plan to have a successful braai or be able to sit on any of the benches provided if you were to braai. Wear a hoodie to bed and be prepared for a less than 1 star stay.

We've tried the backpacker unit, because We've never did before But relise it's for the youngsters 🤣🤣If I go their again, will rather choose other unit

A lovely stop en-route, will definitely be coming back, great for family and friends. Lovely spring mornings in the area. Thumbs up from me.

Sirvice is good and people are friendly

Good hospitality, management is good, there's a reasonable sized pool which is always clean, the place is well taken care of, my worry is the security there because there is no gate and cars come and go as they please.

Apartments need to be upgraded( tiles on the floors are split, showers are falling apart cabinets are faulty, some of the bathroom doors are falling apart.) But, overall they are clean and neat. The swimming pool was sparkling. Really affordable for family visits. Apartments very wheelchair accessible. Not wheelchair friendly on the grounds. Struggling to get through the sand due to the many loose rocks and gravel Other than that we enjoyed it very much.

Neat and clean wooden huts. Easy access to town. As much as they are pet friendly be reminded that between dassies and rabbits there are risks. Don't expect luxury but do expect friendly hosts

We had my daughter's kitchen tea at this beautiful venue! The catering was great. Lots of delicious treats. All amenities were neat and comfortable. I can recommend Dassie Palace.

For a not so expensive accommodation for one night. Far from the Brits mall if you need to buy groceries. No restaurant or small shop on site - Brits mall
