I really want to commend the staff at your establishment. They really represented you well. The team was very friendly, polite and always had a smile on their face. From the maintenance team, the waiters, the chefs, the Ops Team everyone was an absolute joy. The hotel itself was amazing. The beautiful grounds, the rooms, the food and overall ambience was amazing. We are definitely coming back again. Thank you so much to the whole Team at Kievits Kroon, you guys rock.

The rooms are very spacious and the welcoming hamper was a plus. The amenities in the bathroom were used ones from the previous guest. Blinds cannot open because the mechanisms are broken. Blinds are filthy on the back. Staff were very friendly but definitely understaffed because we had to wait a long time to order drinks and food. Food was really delicious. Spa experience excellent. Swimming pool lounge area not in a good state. Glass doors are cracked, blinds are broken and the toilet door cannot close properly. Gas fireplace in the bar area a total disaster. It would be on for a few minutes and then off again Staff promised to get hold of maintenance to fix it, but nobody came. A huge disappointment was the party going on until two in the morning, with loud music and singing.

We stayed at Kievits Kroon for 2 nights. The first evening was kinda weird, they gave us a room key and we drove there and there was no power at our room, went back to reception and they told us to have dinner while the fix the issue and we went to the restaurant and the power turned off 3 times and it was freezing cold. We ended up sitting in the car for a while then eventually the power was back. 😞 Breakfast was lovely, great selection. Rooms could be cleaner - especially the carpets, more vacuuming- rooms also need to be modernised though, it’s nice to have plugs close to your bed. Also the phone in the room didn’t work. Highly recommend more waiters walking around the pool during the day so we can order drinks without a hassle. Overall good stay, food was also good especially the fries, and we tried booking a picnic but was told by reception that we had to book 48hrs in advance.

The wine estate is nice and away from the busy city. The service needs a lot of improvement, even though the staff is friendly but the service is not so good. The menu is very limiting , the food was delicious but not a lot to choose from. The bedroom carpets can do with some cleaning it makes the whole room smell unpleasant, also our bedroom lace curtain was torn.Apart from that we had a good stay enjoyed the pool area and the amazing breakfast buffet, with champagne & oysters. We look forward to visiting again!

Beautiful place, food was very good. We stayed in a luxury room, there was stains on the carpets and windows. Some members staff is very unprofessional or untrained. We arrived and no itinerary was given us or discussed with us, we needed to walk around and ask where we need to go next. Which is not acceptable for the price you pay here. I had a instance where I ordered a Gin and Tonic and the bar tended asked if I wanted Gordon's, Absolute or Smirnoff... We could have gone an entire week to Maritius for R5k more, we only spent one night. It was not a bad experience, but for the price we paid, it left a bad taste in my mouth when we left.

It was absolutely amazing - we were treated like royalty. From our arrival, to check-in till final departure - the staff were extremely friendly and so professional. The gardens are very well kept and upon entering the premises one steps into class. The facilities are gorgeous and the rooms are so well equipped and luxuriously put together. So much detail to ensure you enjoy your stay. It was a pleasurable experience to have stayed over at Kievits and the following morning - the breakfast - exquisite - from Champagne mimosas, oysters, salmon and delightful pastries, as well as eggs sunny-side up or however preferred, as the cook does per preference and fresh fruits and pressed juice. The full spread. We booked for a spa treatment as well and also sublime! The therapists are incredible and the entire spa very stylishly put together yet compellingly creating a relax-atmosphere. It was absolutely splendid and we enjoyed every second. I will gladly recommend Kievits.

The Estate is beautiful and well kept - the rose gardens are definitely a highlight and there are actual Crowned Lapwings (Kroonkiewiete) on the estate. Serendipity or not, this was lovely to see. The staff members are friendly and engaging, without exception. The rooms are comfortable, luxurious and clean. The food: offers a wide range of options, each more delicious than the previous. Methods of presentation differ (from lunch in a picnic basket to a full buffet) and provide versatility. The coffee is spectacular. Overall, Kievits Kroon provided an unforgettable experience which I wish to revisit, should I have the opportunity in future.

I am so grateful and thankful for the opportunity to celebrate my fiance's birthday at your entity. It was my last minute plan to take him on a romantic getaway and wow, you guys exceeded my expectations. Your staff's hospitality from the reception employees, specifically Ronny, to the waitresses, specifically Pretty and Vivian was out of this world. We enjoyed the picnic though I was sceptical in the beginning, it became the highlight of our stay with you. The tranquility and the ambiance was extremely awesome, the meals were scrumptious, especially the room service menu. We definitely will be visiting you again soon, for we really had a great time. Thank you for the "five star" service and treatment we received, and for making my fiance's birthday a memorable one.

Your staff are friendly and provide a great service. The food, venue and spa are fabulous. The rooms are great. I have two points that could be considered for improvement: Room: The room phones don't work Spa: The Jacuzzi's were either too hot or too cold. A medium temperature would be best so that you could actually sit in it for a while and enjoy.

Invited by parents to eat a lunch there. Utterly incompetent waiters that made us wait over an hour after ordering, touched several patrons without permission, brought food out of order, and apologised several times about the delays without bringing something as simple as bread and butter to the table to ease the situation. Waiters serve over every which shoulder and shake sparkling water containers before expecting diners to self serve. The restaurant was full of flies, this could easily be solved with some citronella candles. On the positive side, I loved both the starter and the tofu mushroom curry was amazing. Trained and friendly staff would do this place a lot of good, potential for a great restaurant if managers shape up the staff and delivery times.

When we arrived after 3pm at our room, it was still being cleaned. The staff upgraded us to a better room, but in this room the plug to the kettle and coffee machine wasn't working. The staff did come and fix it very quickly. The dining experience, supper as well as breakfast was out of this world and it made the whole trip worth wile. The spa experience was also very good.

My stay was good. You served good and healthy food, and your facilities are quite good. The only reservation I have is the maintenance of the air-conditioning. It was very cold at night and made it difficult to work because of the coldness. I requested for the maintenance of the air-conditioning which was attended to but still it was not resolved till I left on Friday 15 July 2022. I think the rooms are very good in Summer, when it is hot.

We had an end year function of more than 400 people and I was blown away at the volumes this place could handle! Staff was soooo cute! They were all kind and friendly beyond compare! Their smiles made the food even better! Once we checked in the rooms, we were called to hear if everything was in order. The place really looks amazing - the gardens are spectacular🥂 great work guys. The place looks good on the outside, the garden and the building on point. The rooms are dirty, I was excited that there's a patio but the furniture is dirty and rusty, the tiles were very dirty. The carpet has stains and is dirty. Breakfast was good but I had the worst dinner ever. Starters were just salads that I won't try at home, dinner looked like it was a free meal for charity event. I feel simple food could be nice than saucy chicken. The staff is under trained, you'll wait for hot milk forever till the coffee is cold. I'm not mean but I was expecting 4 star treatment not a lodge standard. The standard has dropped drastically since my last visit. The place needs maintenance and trained staff. I enjoyed being with my friends

Had to stay at the hotel because I’m a diplomat at the Brazilian Embassy in Pretoria and had to attend a BRICS event there. They’re clearly not prepared to deal with international conferences. Getting in the hotel and specially out of the hotel will make you feel like you’re a criminal. Had a massive discussion with the security guy when he demanded to check my diplomatic vehicle (did anyone ever hear about the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations?). No one seemed to care about diplomatic immunity and I felt extremely offended. Worst part was to wonder if this is really their protocol or if this kind of behavior was racially motivated, since diplomats from other countries didn’t report any problems. Will make sure to have them blacklisted by the Brazilian Embassy. Truly a shame.

The VIP rooms are not worth the cost!! The venue itself is beautiful, the staff are great. We stayed 1 night for a birthday celebration. Our day was fabulous, but when supper ended and we retreated to our 2 VIP rooms, we were a little shocked to say the least. Those rooms need revamping guys, seriously consider getting them done.

Firstly, I must commend the serene and secure ambiance of the place, which made my stay truly heavenly. The staff's professionalism and efficiency are also commendable and added to the overall positive experience. However, I and the group encountered an issue with the WiFi during our stay. The inconsistent connectivity poses a significant inconvenience and detracted from an otherwise delightful experience. I believe addressing this matter urgently is crucial to uphold the esteemed reputation of your establishment.

We went there for a year-end function of 15 people on a Sunday afternoon. The staff at the gate was very friendly, but the restaurant was less than impressive. There is a whole menu, but we were only allowed to order off one page. The food took FOREVER to come. The waiters could not remember who ordered what, and just any plate was given to anyone. We sorted it ourselves. We had to cut the meat to see which was rare and which was well done. As they took the plates, we ordered desert, which took another 45min. We had to go look for the waiter every time we needed drinks. I will not visit this restaurant again.

The venue itself is beautiful! Gardens and pool area very well kept! The spa is top tier one of the best we’ve visited! Spa staff are friendly and attentive! A few key points that were disappointing, was the restaurant staff at Kingsley, they are not very friendly and knowledgeable with restaurant offerings etc, our dinner was included in the package we booked and I informed them upon arrival at the restaurant but when our bill came we were charged for dinner, our drinks weren’t added and it took them a good 30 minutes to rectify our bill. Our phone in room was not working as well as the air conditioner. We also had “designer gowns” included in our package but these were not given to us as we were informed they have run out only when I asked about them. So customer service at the restaurant should be focused on as it really does add to the experience.

I was not really impressed by the service at Kievits Kroon Spa, which is such a pity because the facilities are really beautiful. At our Spa treatment we were asked to leave the Jacuzzi area because they had to clean it. Generally you arrange cleaning either before or after not while guests are there. After that while we were getting dressed in the change rooms we were told to KEEP QUIET like we were a bunch of children. The change rooms amplify sound and is particularly loud. Nothing in that room is designed to absorb sound. I would suggest that you look at ways to fix that instead. In any case we were the paying guests, that was not the way to handle the situation. We ate at their restaurant afterward, this too was mediocre service at best. No one knew what menu we could order from or where we could sit. In addition to that two of the wine/sparkling wines we ordered were not in stock. Either take these items off your menu or tell us ahead of time what you don’t have. Our food was well presented but the pork dish was dry. However, I must compliment our waiter. He was excellent. Kievits Kroon is marketed as a 4-star establishment with prices to match. You will have to up your game in the service department in the future. I was hoping to celebrate our anniversary here this year but I think i will spend my money somewhere else.

The place is simply stunning. From the pool to the restaurant which converts into a conference hall to the rooms, this place has amazing facilities. I stayed there for a work conference and everything that we needed was there. They have great facilities for a weekend away as well and so I highly recommend staying here for whatever your needs.

The place itself is beautiful and has that tranquil calming effect about it. I enjoyed my room, it was a room fit for the queen I know I am. So spacious, and comfortable - felt like home. The hotel staff's service was amazing. The food was also very tasty and generous.

Wonderful experience, well maintained gardens, friendly staff, variety of delicious meals served at the buffet. Conference facilities were on point. My one gripe is that we had issues with the hotel access cards on a few occasions, it would be great if staff could look into that. To conclude, it is monies well spent, I would def visit the establishment again.

This place has my heart. It’s beautiful and the staff members are so friendly and extremely helpful. I woke up in a King size bed thinking I’m in the clouds. I spent the day at the Library Bar to get some work done and had the most beautiful view of the garden and pool. I was really impressed with the paraplegic suite too - it’s very rare to find a suite that meets all my mothers needs

The beautiful tranquil well maintained gardens in a Cape Dutch setting makes one unwind from the city life. We were greeted with welcome drinks on arrival. The therapists are very professional and friendly, keeping us informed of what treatments they were going to do. Thank you for pampering. The treatments was so amazing. We were given fresh spa gowns and slippers. The Spa lunch was.the cherry on the cake. Top quality, delicious food preferred by the very talented chef.. So tasty,. It's a must to end your day off as you enjoy your well prepared lunch on the outside patio amongst nature's plants and flowers. Well done to the chef, kitchen staff and waiters Thanks to the staff at Kievits Kroon. Excellent place for Spa and stay over. We will definitely be back.

When it comes to where I sleep and where I eat, I'm fussy as hell! I worked in the Quality Assurance (hospitality) industry for many years and I know what's expected and what's required from an accommodation establishment. What a place looks like, is not as important as the service you get from that particular place. From when you arrive at the gate, the security personnel is welcoming, friendly and professional. Grounds staff, housekeeping, chefs (cooks), waiters...everybody is just so amazing and courteous. The restaurant staff is the best and they prepare such beautiful meals, I've had lunch and dinner - the dishes aren't extraordinary but they ere tasty. Rooms are clean, with good quality beds and linen. Towels are fluffy and white. Excellent tea and coffee facilities (includes hot chocolate) Love, love, looove the patio in the executive rooms, it is just perfect for meditating and "UKUPHAHLA" - Just bring your grass mat or yoga mat! I LOVE THIS PLACE and its simplicity.

I have been to your facilities about 7 years ago and it was great. This time I was really disappointed. The service was slow at reception, the rooms are not clean inside and outside, there are fleas or bedbugs in the bed. The buffet was totally over prices and food quality was not worth the money. The spa facilities are awesome and the staff is friendly and professional. The treatment on the other hand we both felt that the therapists was tried and unexperienced, but overall we were happy.

My initial interaction when trying to book was not pleasant, the lady who assisted was not helpful with info. I eventually got in contact with Yvette, who assisted with arrangements, she was exceptional. On arrival and during our stay, the staff was professional and helpful. Food was great. Maintenance and housekeeping in the rooms could be improved.
