What a joke. Came here to stay for 5 days, after hospital surgery. Paid R2000 deposit for food and beverages. On my first order I waited over an hour for my sandwiches. On arrival the gentlemen at my room door denied me my food and wanted me to pay again. I gave him my signature and he denied it allowing my food to go cold as he took it away from me. Went to reception sick in my pyjamas, to complain as the entire situation escalated, into lies by staff and management. Mangement changed over to an African language, so that I can't understand what she was saying, putting words in my mouth, I never said. Confronting her and trying to record her, she laughed at me and walked away back into the office. Instead of resolving the matter, I was given my money back in cash, being displayed all over the counter. Thankfully I'm not the owner of this hotel, as the female manager will run this hotel down. Makes me wonder if she is even qualified, to be in her position. Never seen this type of ignorance or incompetence, being displayed in a private sector? In Europe a manager like this will be fired on the spot. Thank you to Jacques and the lady who counted out my money. At least they understand if a person is sick and were very professional from check-in to checkout. If covid did not kill this hotel, the staff will. Will be so happy if they see the backside... Don't forget, that it's the foreigners with the real money. By treating us like animals you are chasing the last investments away...

During level 4 lock down I spent 4 nights here. Very friendly staffs and lots of packing place. I can not sit down outside of the hotel patio was frustrating rule. Other than this lovely hotel and please arrange a small fridge in the room will make 6 star posting. My own beverages and take away for the night.

Fourways always has that feel of Beverly Hills with how its clean an Hotels security its top notch so I'd recommend it 100%👍🏽 especially this festive season.

Absolutely brilliant and beautiful place in 4 ways, i cant complain about anything. Reception and staff are outstanding, rooms are the best of the best world wide, especially the beds. Service is exceptionally good, if you didn't know the staff will inform you. Clean, prompt and friendly efficient is exactly what i found. Thank you, i will stay a extra few days

Really really good experience. Everything was as expected. The rooms could use a little attention, doors were a bit sticky, but it was still very comfortable, neat. Breakfast was okay, not the freshest, but I enjoyed it. Location is unbeatable, right next to Montecasino (walking distance) Very secure Parking as well.

It was splendid but a piece of advice... when I visit next time may they put small fridges in there rooms and water because as customers were love hydrating... thanks

We booked in for New year's eve so we didn't have to drive around and would be able to visit Montecasino. Best decision ever! Unfortunately they did not offer room service and the bar closed early despite it being New Year's eve. Everyrhing else was great! Coffee station, doable TV, working Aircon, nice shower and bath and good overall view. Also has an underground parking.

Woke up to the beautiful sound of birds, the place is absolutely beautiful and clean. I loved it and will definitely be going there again.

Okay first things first I totally appreciated the front desk checking in service. Made it easier to ask about anything. Was there for a short stay but definitely coming back for a much longer one. Highly recommend that breakfast 🫦

Enjoyed a delightful festive season stay. Monte Casino and Viva Gym Fourways are conveniently nearby for those aiming to counter the holiday indulgence. The atmosphere was peaceful, especially considering the time of year, with NYE being the exception. The swimming pool was pleasantly uncrowded, providing a relaxing experience. The staff was friendly, rooms were well-maintained, and the breakfast buffet offered a satisfying start to the day. A solid 5-star rating. Visiting from the UK, I stayed for the week while spending time with family.

They really helpfull the rooms are well equiped and the staff is great. They serve breakfast but i did not have any. Its a great room for a short stay. The double rooms are equiped with both tub and shower and the staff is friendly the meal i had was good too.

Great hotel and location. Just poor service let it down

This is a tough review because the hotel service was outstanding - the rooms were ok, below par on a global scale but then again the pricing was below global standards (hallways were narrow and dingy, gym was small) - generally the rooms and hallways were dated. However, the restaurant staff were great, the food was generally excellent, and the front desk staff were great; they were superbly helpful, kind and always had a great attitude. The outdoor patio deck by the pool is lovely, and the hotel is conveniently located, but it needs a refresher. The lobby seating is misplaced and poorly laid out as well. The gym was small with only 3 pieces of equipment - only 2 of which worked.

If I could give a zero I would. Zero communication amongst the day and night staff. You treated as a criminal instead of their team working on customer satisfaction the night staff first night give me a room so I think great reservation sorted and I'm happy carry on only to be locked out of my room the next day because they did not communicate with the booking agent. If a booking was made through an agent and a guest checks in should you not advise the guest with immediate effect there is an issue not lock someone out their room and then the front staff just repeat we understand instead of actually sorting the problem. Never again will I stay nor advise my company to book any collegues here. Only stayed here because monte was full and what a terrible experience # exactly why people leaving SA. Get your act together CITY LODGE MONTE!

This is one of the best and cleanest hotels I have stayed in ever, The Management and staff is the best. I had the best food to be exact (Lamb Cutlets, Ribeye Steak and Kingklip to die for) there is nothing short when it comes to City Lodge Fourways. This should not be a 3 star its an embarrassment to their rating this is a 4 star +. Good job team City Lodge.

This is the worst hotel and as a professional I would not recommend it unless you are looking for just above backpacker type accommodation- certainly not worth the price, and not what I remember it to be. I could not get an iron, terribly noisy with no effort to assist manage the noise, very unhelpful staff! just an unpleasant experience

A 3 star hotel that is not. Service in bar pool and lounge area is terrible. Slow you have to chase and then wrong orders brought. Food quality terrible. Rooms ok, stay here but eat etc., somewhere else

What a perfect getaway. Your front of house is friendly beautiful people. Your facilities is neat and what I expected and perfect food. Who ever thought that City lodges is a generic experience go and visit this one.

Rooms are comfortable, meals adequate but TV channels restricted and some not working when I got there, but a good all round experience

What a comfortable experience. Rooms are clean and the bathroom very well kept and huge! The bath was so big and welcome after a long days travel. Breakfast was out of this world!! The staff very attentive too

The place is beautiful and the service. Restaurant side is bad menu is limited and the food does not meet the standard of the hotel.. bar side expensive with little to no alcohol, there's always shortage from soft drinks to alcohol..

Loadshedding and no heaters in the room. Very unpleasant, freezing night. Wheelchair accessible room... asked for non smoking. Put into smoking room. Bathroom is big enough for proper wheelchair accessible. Wooden fold down seat not right for a paraplegic to sit on, metal around seat cuts into the back of legs. Suggestion... get a proper moveable shower chair/komode that can be requested. Staff so willing, professional and friendly.

Rooms are spacious and very clean. There is a shower and a bathtub. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is really good with a variety of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, cold meats, cheese and crackers and hot breakfast as well

A bit of a mix up due to the reservations not booking out the hotel on line. The Manager (Mr. Lesea) went far and beyond to get the Situation taken care off. Staff has always been grt at the location.

Lovely hotel in Fourways. They have a great dry cleaning/ laundry service.

Excellent room service and food by City lodge !! Water pressure is just an issue in the room, other than that clean and tidy !
