The Peermont Doreale deserves its 5 Star rating as it is a 5 star establishment. Been hear over 30 times and I cannot fault them. From the security, to the reception, to the facilities. Well done and keep it up.

Don’t think the experience I had was worthy of a 5 star hotel. Check in and staff friendliness is what kept me from rating this 1 star. Room 5118 dated and dirty, I have photos and videos if management would like to see. Bathroom mirror broken. Bathtub faucet broken. Water pressure too low to pass the back of the bathtub. Water changes from cold to hot. Bedroom carpet dirty, Couch dirty, light switches dirty and lamp shade broken. Then we get to room service… scan the QR code and get two numbers to order. None of which work. Phone 2 to get to reception no answer. Walk down to place order. When front desk calls Portia she says The front desk is lying nobody called.(welcome to check the calls if they are recorded) hands me the phone to place order just to have the phone put down in my ear. I work and travel for a living and can assure you this is not even a three star experience

I use to thinking highly of D'oreale but my bathroom was falling apart. Not only did the tap handle came off, whilst trying to get the water to an acceptable temperature, I struggle to put it back. Then the valve that turns the tap between bath water and shower head water also came off. What a disaster!

Great hotel, had a lovely stay. Very clean and safe, food very good. Service a bit hit and miss, perfect some days, slow and inaccurate others.

Excellent stay and service. Frustration was the two pin plus on the dresser faulty and doesn't hold your adaptor. Other than that would definitely revisit.

Checked in at 03h00 Paid R4790 for 4 hours of sleep This place needs an upgrade Beds are worn out. Not even dstv in rooms. Slow wifi. Not a proper shower. We didnt event get a new toilet roll! I've been to places all over the country that have 200% better service and luxuries for ¼ of the price !!

One of my favourite places to stay in Joburg, rooms could do with an upgrade and the service in the breakfast room could be improved on. But otherwise a good, safe stay in JHB. Always very friendly font desk staff.

During load shedding, you can watch TV and have lights, but a person that needs a breathing machine cannot be helped, we asked if they can remove the TV so the breathing machine can be plugged in there, they ignored us. A 5 star accomodation that's not helpful to a person's life or death situation. I will never go back. To spend almost R5000 a night and that's the service, pathetic.

Modeled after Ceasars Palace in Vegas, this place is massive. All under one roof - dozens of restaurants, multiple casinos, theaters, shopping etc.

The rooms are great, only slight issue is that the non-smoking and smoking rooms are on the same floor and you can smell the smoking rooms in the hallways.

This hotel is close to the airport. This is rated 5 star, I would rate it a 3 star. was a disappointing experience as the room was not clean. Found the place a bit shabby, couch was torn, carpets have not been cleaned and was stsined, the shower is above the bath, which kept clogging. Being winter the windows were not properly sealed and icy cold wind blow into the room. There was no proper ports for phone charging. As for breakfast we were told they do not make fried eggs. There was only scrambled eggs . Will not stay here again. This place definitely needs an upgrade. Not worth the price. We stayed in Room 3106. We had other couples complaining about clogging bath tubs and dirty carpets.

Went to the Barnyard last night and then fell into this heavenly cloud bed....just sank into it. Breakfast this morning of pastries and then bacon and egg....big pots of tea...what more can you ask for....

Hubby and I stayed here the last 2 weeks of October for our anniversary. The stay was great. The staff was great. The spa was great. Some may say it looks old. But it’s meant to look classic. The other 2 Peermont hotels are more modern. Reign Restaurant is great also. We tried other restaurants but Reign is the best. It’s near the airport but you don’t hear the planes. The sliding doors have a little air blowing through but other than that not many complaints. Here’s a video we did of our vacation. https://youtu.be/BJl0UIkUqEI?si=_hSM49cV4r6g21WG

Customer service needs to be worked on, the staff is so unfriendly and all look angry! Was denied keys to the room (cos my husband’s phone wasn’t reachable) for 3hrs in my pregnant state with a one year old baby who got quite cranky. You need to work on your breakfast buffet too! I stayed there for 6 days and on all the days, the food was cold (cold eggs, cold bacon, cold sausage) and reason is simple (the chafing dishes heat was never on). In all honesty, for that price of the hotel (a 5star) you really need to work on staff attitude and customer service (especially the male manager at the front desk) we pay too much to be received by grumpy people.

We stayed at this hotel and we’re so impressed with the choices of vegan meals. We haven’t had anything close in any other hotels in Jhb. The room was comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, and we will definately be back

Nice hotel with a great location. You have a lovely garden, pool, a casino and a food yard with about 40 different restaurants. The only thing is for the hotel category the rooms are relatively small

A 5-STAR hotel at Emperors Palace. Close to Johannesburg main airport. Separate entrance to the Casino complex exclusive to hotel guests. Wheel chair friendly. I stay at Club Superior King room with access to club lounge. With Covid19 things have changed from past visits. Room service is disappointing with a choice of Burgers or toasted sandwiches only. ( No menu's in room ) Mini fridge is empty. Most things is rapped in plastic in the room. Nespresso machine failed to produce hot coffee. ( smoke came out of machine )The casino and complex with bars, restaurants etc closes at 23:00 No more all night gambling. On a positive note big spaces between slot machines with transparent barriers. You can call for beverage/cleaning service via the slot machine menu. Breakfast is super. I had farmhouse hot breakfast. Self dishing up of cold food is gone but with a server behind transparent barriers one can still point or describe what you want. Hotel Club lounge (on 5th floor) limited to Saturday and Sunday only from 13:00 to 18:00 is a bit disappointing The in hotel spa is one of the best in South Africa with a Roman spa bath The outside pool is fantastic with large fountain in the middle. Great view of this at breakfast. Still a great place to visit and recommend local and foreign visitors

after the cancellation last year with covid, the reservation department send me an email confirming that I will have a credit even with an upgrade and now that I have my new dates they told me NO and they are taking my money because no refund either!!!! I have called many times and send emails even to head quarters and nothing was done I hope that South Africa is not like your brand ! terrible

This highly rated place is not of course for the less fortunate. However the mixed use of the Emperors Palace precinct area is of high value 🤜🤛 Even better in December the Thrills Attractions for both the young and the young at heart keeps folks flocking in. The Food, Entertainment and of course the people tops it up 🙏🙌

Check in was a bit slow. Apparently our reception lady had to prepare the room when we check-in close to 5pm. Other than that it was a very pleasant experience.

This was an amazing stay for my fiance and I, we had an excellent time here. With our night at Barnyard which was amazing and what more can I say about Dinner night? The Restaurant on the main floor was more then exceptional, the wine as my Fiance states was DEVINE. We had such a great time here. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were amazing! Thank you Piermont D'oreale for an amazing experience with my wife to be! ❤👍

Can't reply to a response to a previous review. So I am making another. No they have not reversed the amount Rebecca Mpofu. Whether it is R5 or a million it is still theft. I was promised it would only be taken if used and yet the full amount was taken from my account. Can only imagine how much has been stolen from other guests who do not check their things and query like me.

The front desk staff was nice and helpful but unfortunately that’s where good service ended. I couldn’t get anyone to assist with my luggage yet I had requested for assistance. We were told to wait to be seated at the breakfast area due to Covid protocols and the breakfast area was full but no one was assisting such that we waited from 8am till 10am at the entrance. I was then told to sit outside only to be ignored after that. The stuff was serving others and intentionally passing me until I asked why they were not taking my order and I was told I was not supposed to seat outside (yet I was seated by one of them) the people who were being served outside were the bosses and only them can be served outside. I only got assisted after 11am and the kitchen was closing so I was not offered the full breakfast. The hotel had said they provide transportation to the airport which was one of the reasons I chose them but I was told after Covid-19 the arrangement was cancelled but they did not update the information online. The charge for transportation was very high. The service I got in this hotel is the worst service I have ever received and I wouldn’t wish it for my worst enemy.

I was so excited to get 2 free nights at this hotel, and what a massive let down. There was no hair towels or shampoo, there was no turn down service and to top it all we had a dirty pillow with no pillow slips. (Can't post pics here) Our room was only serviced at about 2 the next day and still no pillow slips and dirty pillow remained. I understand this was free, but is that the advertising and reviews that you want when hotel business is slow at best. Ordered ice in the evening and we were still waiting when we left. Disgusting for a 5 star hotel and would rather go to the Soho which is a 4 star with 5 star treatment. Very disappointed !!!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. From reception to household. The breakfast was really 5star service and quality. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Housekeeping needs some attention as we sometimes got to our room in the evenings and the room was not done yet. Towels forgotten, pillow cases not put on etc. The rest off our stay was amazing. The staff here is really professional and friendly.

I booked a night away for my hubbys birthday. I was quite saddened on our arrival when we walked into the reception area on Sunday to find a guest drunk, and disorderly, making a huge noise and performance at the reception desk. Not a great start to our stay. The room was lovely, and clean, but another disappointing moment was deciding not to have desert at the restaurant that we had eaten at, but rather order in room service and treat my hubby to chocolate brownies. I had downloaded the app on my phone, and ordered through the app, I was given the expected arrival time, but nothing came. I then ordered again, and still nothing came. Not the end of the world, but perhaps something that can be looked into for future guests. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great stay. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, beds very comfortable. You get what you pay for. Quick access to the casinos and a good stay over for nearby access for OR Tambo. Enough restaurants for any taste.

First night and morning - telephone doesn’t call out and therefore must call the landline to get through to reception to order room service. Waitress doesn’t bring card machine and then decides to call at 10.45 , whilst we were asleep , to ask if she can come with the machine. The tv is not working properly as the picture quality goes fuzzy intermittently. Tried to have a shower in the morning but the cold water just disappears so couldn’t shower. Five star I think not.

This is suppose to be a 5star hotel?!? Rooms are small and have no 2 point plugs/USB options. The bathroom were old, super small (fit only one person at a time) and outdated. A hand shower inside a 🛁 small bath serves as the shower! We waited over an hour for roomservice with no explanation offered when we eventually phoned to enquire about our order. Maybe they cater mainly for gamblers? I felt robbed with the 5star rates we had to pay.

So travelling I get to visit numerous Hotels which are 5 star. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel room is unfortunately not to 5 star standard and poorly maintained. The bed is sagging and the lamps are falling apart. Bathroom is falling apart and evident no maintenance is done. The windows get stuck as well. Unfortunately for the pricing it's not acceptable. Seems Management have let the standards slip in general. Went out to the Casino. All I heard was regular patrons complain amongst each other that nothing is happening and all that they are doing is feeding the machines. Seems like certain patrons get special preferences as the slots attendant in blue constantly run up and down for the cigar yielding arrogant man who plays numerous machines at once and is rude to other patrons. However he was the only person who was winning and patrons were visibly upset. Seems like the African Standard has been adopted as the normal standard. Sadly I will not visit again.
