Nice place for a breakfast overlooking the river. Very few places make decent coffee and today was one of those days. I was there last week after my cycle and the coffee ☕ was good though. Part of my health breakfast was good too, but gagged on the mustard sauce that drenched all the beautiful flavours, which the manager confirmed was not part of the dish 🤔 ... no consolation offered and I didn't feel like fighting.

The staff is really friendly and always ready to assist. I arrived there late at night and I didn't like the room because there was a paint smell. I was immediately moved to another room with hassle-free. The rooms are very spacious. Great location , food and drinks.

Beautiful place with very spacious rooms. The restaurant has good food, although i think they did not stock enough for the long weekend, on the last day they didn have a lot of food thats on the menu, so orders were limited. Otherwise, the pool is amazing, the location is great,., their breakfast is too good.

Wow wow, Gilbert the owner he is amazing and his team. They are genuine, their service is top notch and go beyond the call of duty. I hurt my knee and their assisted me with all my needs even going and coming back to hospital for my check ups. You will not regret being here. Did I say how trequil this place is ...gorgeous rooms beds that feel like a cloud...and no I am not paid to say all this. If service is amazing it is amazing 👏 🙌 😍 ✨

We enjoyed our stay at Riverlodge. Their location is easy to find. The rooms are very clean, and big. I adored the bathroom. The restaurant has a nice view of their beautiful garden and river . The staff was si carrying and friendly. On the rate if 0 to 5 I score them 7/5.

Sunday was a fantastic day! Clear blue skies although a bit cold, but that's the beauty of Gauteng weather! Driving around Muldersdrift area, we popped into Riverstone Lodge for pizza with a view. Sadly, it was sooo quiet!!!!! Sat on the patio that overlooks the river. A couple enjoyed the sun next to the river on a blanket with a picnic basket. Service is good, Chai Latte yum. Ordered the Chicken pizza - great, although the chicken needed some spice. A lovely spot for a meal.

A lovely womens day even was organised from 10 am to 10pm. At the peak of the event when everything was really nice…. The owner of this place dismissed the entire crowed who paid to be there and enjoy themselves. It was very unfair and unprofessional, inconsiderate and disrespectful to be chased out without a valid reason. There was no reason. It was a peaceful gathering of women listening to music on a picnic setup. We bought their food and their drinks we sat nicely on their lawn . No one misbehaved, no casualties, it was a lovely event for women and the owner ruined it. It tells you the kind of person the owner is. Ignorant and disrespectful. The event organised were also shocked to get such n an instruction to vacate with immediate effect. This event was a good marketing strategy which was going to be good for this place but it will never happen . I don’t recommend this place, any minute you can be told to leave. The treatment was horrible people paid for goodnes sake!!!

I went for Breakfast with my wife. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, it's a relaxing and beautiful place. I will visit again in the near future.

This place is worth every penny. The rooms are luxurious, clean and spacious. The staff is so friendly and they go an extra mile to make sure you happy, now i see why they call it "The place of smiles". We had a picnic and their packages are affordable and delicious. their restaurant is clean, serves delicious food and prices are worth it!!!!! It is situated in a quiet place and its not even difficult to get there. They have backup power so we didn't have issues during loadshedding since we had power even in our rooms.

Rooms are good and spacious. Just need a good White paint. That yellow is too much. Wi-fi was terrible. Doesn't stay on for one hour and it's kicked off. Dinner service is not great. Breakfast is good, but on second day we had to order hot stuff from waiter, didn't have it as buffet as advertised. Pastries are not cooked through, dough still raw. Lodge needs more activities in-house, to entertain guests. It could be a great spot, as it's right on the river, but people just use it as a halfway house. Dinner would be busier too if it was geared towards guests.

Well placed establishment with poor service. We paid for food that was not provided. The cheese on their pizza was off and they had flies all over.

A wonderful graduation and conference for the ACSI Emerging Leaders. The whole experience from check-in to final check out was filled with goid service, personal approach, caring waitresses, good food, heated rooms and time to reflect and slow down in a beautiful setting. The menu features variety, reasonable prices and healthy food. Desserts are lovely and the coffee strong!

An average experience. Rooms are clean but very cold and dark. A suggestion, plug the hair dryer near the mirror. Having it wired through the cabinet with no sight of a mirror is not very practical.

We love staying over here. The rooms are spacious and well equiped with a huge bath and big shower. The English breakfast is always a winner and we never miss it!

Came here for an overnight stay. The rooms are spacious and the linen is clean. The staff came to make a sleeper bed from the couch for the kids on request. Besides the one bug we squashed, the room was clean. Breakfast was a full spread with friendly staff, with a little upkeep this place can be absolutely amazing.

Spacious rooms, ambient atmosphere, responsive staff, conveniently located. I took my son with to Riverstone for a writing retreat. He had just had an op done and wasn't recovering as expected, so I wanted to monitor him. A highlight for me was that one of the managers, I think her name was Lindy, insisted that I leave the child with the staff during sessions so I could focus. They were darlings. Accompanied him to the play area, let him watch TV in the lounge, even offered to have special meals prepared for him. This isn't very common at accommodation facilities (and I travel quite a bit with my children), and found it a humbling gesture. Will definitely return here.

Me and Brno travel all over the continent,35 African countries sofar.This place is our home,halfway from our other home in Langebaan.The rooms are topps,so are the food service,and the friendly staff.It is really good value,and the people make this place.Just wish,we discovered it earlier!! We were there for a conference.... The staff was very efficient, very helpful and eager to assist. A special thanks to Sabelo, Thabang and the night manager with the Afro like hair, very very effecient. The rooms are sexy... Wine and candlelight vibes. With an open-plan bath and shower (it can close if you want to). I'm a sucker for walks and riverside quiet time so I definitely felt happy being there. Took some walks, attempted some photography, enjoyed Journaling by the river in the early hours of morning. Enjoyed some relaxation over drinks with colleagues on the deck. The staff is friendly and checks in on you regularly enough. The food, it was just food....... But the pap and gravy was a personal favourite (perhaps because I hadn't had pap in months). Colleagues really enjoyed the desserts... They have a nice variety to cater for everyone.

I needed a much needed break. I went by myself to just be. It was just what the doctor ordered literally. My room was large and comfortable and clean, the Aircon was a bit noisy but I used the fan and it was fine. When the curtains were closed the room was pitch dark which was great for afternoon naps 😁 I am a vegetarian and in the first night there was a buffet with mainly meat and a few veg. The chef noticed I wasn't getting much and when he realised he told me to wait 10mins, He prepared a meal especially for me ! And it was delicious. I had a spa treatment and that was so relaxing and great. The staff are friendly, I forgot my toothbrush at home and reception had toothbrushes also. Definitely recommend and will be back.

We stayed over after a party in the area. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the vicinity to the highway makes it a little noisy at night. Seems to be popular with cyclists over weekends.

Beautiful setting, in the cradle, close to Lanseria, and Cradlestone mall around the corner. It may look rustic but the charm is fantastic. I was invited to have their pizza, I eat out alot but this is going to take something to beat. Well done to the team, you guys and girls have really made a place of smiles.

My worst nightmare. We went there on 27th Dec for my mother's birthday and everything was bad, from the entrance they wrote the name incorrect. The deco was a joke. We ordered a buffet menu and the taste was unexplainable, the quality and presentation was embarrassing to say the least. There was not even enough food for the guests 😒

Lovely restaurant with a lovely view, but the service was not so lovely. Phenomenal owner, but his staff were unfortunately not so similar. We waited almost an hour for our food (lunch). A good restaurant for lunch and breakfast, but get comfortable because you will wait.

After another venue cancelled my reservation for my daughter's first birthday party, the staff at Riverstone Lodge was super helpful in helping me create the best party for my baby. The staff went beyond the call of duty to make sure we were sorted in every way. The day of the party, it was raining and they immediately had a back up plan to make sure everyone would be dry and happy. I cannot express in words how happy I was with excellent service from Riverstone Lodge! Thanks again!!!

Loved the big room overlooking the river. Visited now in winter. Was a bit cold, an electric blanket would've been an amazing addition. The food and service was great. Stunning ambience in the restaurant. Loved the warm fire. The toiletries supplied were of a good size and of good quality. A lovely stay.

Riverstone lodge is my happy place, i love the service that you receive from Gilbert and his staff! It's a small peacefull heaven outside the city rush!!

We were a group of Harley riders that slept over for one night. From the moment we entered the premises we were warmly welcomed - we were met with a welcome drink by our host at reception. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and spacious - the beds were very comfortable. Dinner (ala carte) and breakfast were delicious. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. We will definitely recommend River Stone Lodge to our friends... until next time... THANK YOU!

When I arrived for check in my room was. Not even cleaned yet. I was going there for a wedding and needed to get done, this seemed odd zero importance to them. I was sranding at the front desk, two employees were there, the 1 was giving directions to a guest, the other employee just stood there looking at me until I eventually asked "can u help me or is he the only 1 working?". The TV remote was also faulty and our room was so ill prepared even the patio furniture was missing. All in all for the price, it was not worth it for me

Really warm and welcoming staff. The room, food and grounds 10/10! The lighting around the lodge could be better but no biggie.

Beautiful place with a nice setup and ample parking space. The reception is friendly and helpful. The staff is also very knowledgeable and are ready and capable with a friendly attitude. The food is also great and of high quality. A definite recommendation to anyone looking for a venue or simply to unwind. Will visit again soon and explore more of the nature with the river passing through the property

I stayed 3rd and 4th Feb 2021. There is no covid protocol carried out. People walked in and out of the dining room with NO MASKS including staff. People were talking and breathing over the breakfast food while dishing up with NO MASKS ON. I complained to Reception after breakfast. No staff members reprimanded anyone. Lunch time was worse. I reported it again. Never will I set foot there again. The stench from the river is disgusting.

Worst buffet I have ever experienced, I'm in catering business and food needs to taste and look good... The management needs to train their staff on how to serve people, they clearly aren't trained, they don't check up on guests I had to keep on asking for drinks menu. What a waist of a Xmas lunch.

I only stayed there for one night, but everything there was well setup. The bedrooms are spacious, a bathtub and a shower are both on offer. Their breakfast tasted good.

The Place is beautiful but if they can put Bar fridge and small microwave in the rooms I will give them 120% Bar fridge for our drinks please... The staff is nice and Friendly Sabelo and Mbali you're the best 👌 👍

WORST wedding anniversary stay ever! Got to our room which was on the outskirts of the property,our room was not like the pictures shown on the website. It Had just a bed and 2 side tables and nothing else. We still "accepted" it and Got comfortable and turned the TV on...low and behold,it didn't work. We Called reception...waited 20min,they couldn't fix it,they left,30min later 2 men returned and again couldn't solve the issue. They wanted to come back again and we said no and asked to change rooms. In that same time we had met another couple who had just arrived and they were very verbal of their opinions to us and said "they going to get their money back as they wouldn't pay R500 for this room". Once got moved to another room-close to reception, this Room was better,this one looked like the pictures-bed,couch,desk. Still no rooms had a mini bar nor complimentary water! The wifi signal was non existent in this room. We decided to eat out because the menu for the restaurant on site didn't appeal to us. We returned round 21:30pm to the resort and came to realize there was a function on the property which was why it was so busy. We retreated to our room for the night and searched on TV for something to watch...there was nothing but local channels,not even DSTV. We decided to shower and go to sleep. Because it was pointless as we couldn't even stream anything off our phones via wifi. One positive,the rooms were neat and clean. I fell asleep round 22:30pm only to be woken up at 00:38 with blasting music and loud teens talking above the music. This woke my husband(who can sleep through anything)! We called reception to complain and it was sorted within a couple of minutes. Needless to say, we couldn't fall asleep until after 2am. We are young ourselves and enjoy music and having a good time,but this was over kill. Bed was ok to sleep in,but all honesty couldn't wait to wake up,have breakfast and leave this place. A very unfortunate,disappointing stay. Will NEVER go back...
