We
had
a
wonderful
sales
and
management
conference
at
the
lodge.
Lovely
to
have
the
animals
close
by
with
the
dam
close
to
the
restaurant.
Starff
were
polite
and
helpful,
engaging
and
always
service
with
a
smile.
Before
we
started
our
conference
the
manager
addressed
our
groups
and
gave
safety
briefing
and
explained
a
bit
abouts
recent
poaching
activities
at
the
reserve.
So
sad
to
hear
they
lost
10
rhino
and
a
male
lion(recent).
The
upstairs
coffee
was
excellent,
would
have
been
nice
to
have
the
same
coffee
facility
downstairs..
The
food
during
the
conference
was
plentiful,
well
presented
and
tasty.
Breakfast
and
lunch
was
good
and
dinner
was
beautiful
presented.
All
round
tasty.
A
few
minor
glitches
with
one
well
done
steak
instead
of
medium
rare,
steak
and
my
Kingklip
was
dry
and
a
bit
tough.
The
curry
could
have
been
stronger
according
to
one
of
my
colleagues.
Thabo
our
Game
Ranger
was
entertaining
and
knowledgeable.
Saw
a
fair
amount
of
game
but
it
would
have
been
nice
to
stop
a
little
longer
at
sightings.
We
saw
lion,
wildebeest
(including
a
golden
wildebeest),
zebra,
giraffe,
Warthog,
impala,
including
black
impala,
blesbok
(even
a
white
one),
2
elephant,
2
white
rhino,
two
hippo,
kudu,
nyala.
Pity
you
can't
drive
through
the
reserve
and
that
you
have
to
book
a
game
drive.
I
would
have
loved
to
have
gone
back
and
sat
quietly
on
my
own
watching
game.
Game
drives
tend
to
be
too
noisy.
The
rooms
are
spacious.
And
comfortable.
Beautiful
slipper
bath
but
with
water
restrictions
is
a
real
tease.
Hot
shower,
double
basins.
For
families
or
friend
wishing
to
be
close
together,
their
rooms
backing
onto
each
other
with
a
common
kitchenette
area
and
inter
leading
doors.
Well
sound
proofed
as
I
did
not
hear
my
neighbours.
The
museum
is
also
very
interesting.
And
enjoyable
stay
all
in
all.
