It's gone down down down. Went for memories sake. We use to stay there back in the day. Sad to see the condition, whoever bought it, could of kept it up. Toilets are bad, aircons do not work and they use house fans to keep cool. Place is bad.

What used to be a pinnacle of leisure is now a shadow of it's former self. Of note is the condition of the buildings, swimming pool, picnic site and etc that have deteriorated to the lowest level imaginable for this type of establishment. My take is the casino and the occasional events are the only things keeping this resort in operation. My two stars 🌟 are for the casino that's still operating - that's all. The resort still has so much potential - if only management can realise this and do something before it's too late.

It's a nice place but they could make it much better

Morula resort is the only place that have that thing around mabopane,, has pools, restaurant, pub and park inside it... So guys let's go to gold rush and have great fun

I really love their hotel, regardless of whether you pay R750/R1000 for a night you'll definitely love the setup... Their rooms are very spacious... But their Tv's don't work and I feel more needs to be done when it comes to their reception and what they offer for breakfast...

Attended the Doek and Shades Spring Fest at Mzansi Resort. Wow what an event and beautiful place to host events. Will definitely be back there to host my own events.

It's so bad. From the security at the entrance behaving like someone who hates her job, the garden is not maintained, it's dirty outside, the room had only 1 towel, no glass nor cup, side lamp not working, plug not working, aircon not working, bathroom tap had only hot water(cold water tap was not working). Yoh the 1 star is only for the receptionist honestly, the rest felt like we were at some cheap backpacker

It's very bad. There's no customer service and the machines are not maintained. Even when there's many people there's only one cashier and there's two all of them goes away from their posts and people wait for a long time before the chasiers comeback. Thier service is extremely bad.

Five location but service is a little lower since the depature of Morula Sun to Menlyn. The now revamped Gold Rush Mzansi resort still holds a lot of potential. Morale in general still a bit low. Guess a turn-around strategy for them would be on uplifting and motivating staff and the entire Mabopane Community. We could do with a little All White Event (that's the flagship Annual Perfomance Offering by Sister T and Company) or the Sunday Soul Session. A return to Lethabong Commedy Thursdays or the all too familiar Razooz Ladies And Gents Nights. We miss you Manello (or Morula); where are you?

It has everything you need for any occasion

There is a huge variety of slots, and the casino itself is clean and parking area safe. Customer service should be improved as it took between 30 to 45 min just to get a card registered. The casino's location might not be great, but the parking area with the security precautions taken make up for that.

There's no customer service and only one assistant at the help desk. People wait for a long time before they get any assistance. The infrastructure is very bad along with their service.

Y'all need to fix your bathrooms they don't flush.

The place isn't as clean and inviting its used to be,the grass isn't up to standard like before,no I wasn't impressed by the outside looks at the back ,inside clean yes ,only if they can focus more on the outside part because that's where many people have interest in more especially when taking wedding pictures.

I love the park area just before the lake. It's cosy and intimate especially during quiet Sundays. However, it is dull in recent times. I think the place needs to reinvent itself to attract the masses as it once did.

Nice improved resort but not friendly for kids. The kids entertainment area is closed.

Service was not so good particularly breakfast. The night before there was no electricity and thought they could have made a provision of atleast candles in the rooms so it was very dark in the rooms and passages

We went there for a picnic and the maintance was bad, it's not as nice as it used to be. We couldn't bring the food inside cause they wanted us to pay extra for food plus we paid for tickets to go inside. The toilets near the pool were not clean especially the basins, very dusty.

Good for picnics, chilling, safe parking, swimming pools and very expanded considering Covid-19 regulations. Oh yes they have a bar. So you can also grab your coolerbox which is charged at R50.

Their service is horrible, from the security at the main gate all the way to the reception and the restaurant. The was a power outage and no one bothered to let us know what was wrong or provide alternative lighting. When we went for breakfast they just gave us what ever they felt like without asking if eat what they're serving. The entire experience was just horrible.
