Beautiful setting and pleasant stay at this hidden gem just an hours drive from the heart of GP. The affordability, the well kept premises, the friendly staff and better off very human center design makes Dube the go to place for a Weekend Getaway, Family Holiday or a Couples Escape. Whether one is going to relax or going for some Outdoor events of even for the Animals it's bound to fulfill everyone's desires. Better off the folks in fellow patrons are just the best humans you can think of. Never been so impressed with folks at peace with themselves and trying to just enjoy this little life of ours in tranquility. The Chalets are in extreme high demand so never go without a booking for that otherwise it seems off season you can pitch a tent or an RV and enjoy the best what God has to offer in South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦. Kudos to the friendly Management too πŸ™Œ

We loved every moment of our stay in our chalet at Dube. The owners go out of their way to make ones stay comfortable and happy and the walking amongst the animals just amazing. My favorite is the giraffe who graced me with his/presence πŸ¦’We took a walk through the caravan park. Just perfect, beautifully clean ablusion blocks.... To say nothing but wow regarding the warm water Baths.... Do yourself a favor and visit.

Great place to visit and camp. Clean ablutions. Especially nice for kids as they have a few water slides and a few large outdoor pools. Amazing heated indoor pools. Take your mountainbike with. Nice shop with takeaway.

Beautifully kept resort with excellent facilities, especially for families with children. Very safe with an electric fence around the reserve and fenced and gated camp area. During midweek (out of season) it is mostly older people (good monthly rates) and the pace is relaxed and quiet. The complimentary cake and tea on a Wednesday is a real treat. Walking opportunities between the game in the reserve is great. The caravan stands are paved, but some can be a little small (ask if you have a bigger caravan). The hot (properly hot) and cold pools and water slides are very nice. Nice little shop and take-aways although I think the "gourmet pizzas" are not really gourmet and too expensive. I highly recommend a visit to this resort.

Thank u to the owners. Giving back so much to make this a fabulous place to stay and to enjoy nature and the resort. Clean ablution blocks. Friendly staff.... especially Koekie. She is checking and making you feel at home. We've enjoyed the cake and snacks on Wednesday mornings in Shalom and the warmth of fellow campers. Thank you! DUBE TOPS.

Our preferred camping site. Very well kept grounds and ablution facilities. The heated indoor spa pool is a great meeting place. Game walks are fantastic relaxation. The 2km of dirt road is in very good condition. Strict rules prohibits noise and loud music. Large cold water pool with supertube, trampolines and play area for kids. The shop is expensive but well stocked.

Great place, great activities, but really need to implement stricter rules regarding music, had such an inconvenient experience, with neighbors playing music full blast at 2:00 am in the mornings. (Every night for 3 days). But the staff was fantastic and so friendly!

There is a lot to do for the whole family. I would just say that the owners try to squeeze as many stands in as possible. The stands are very small. The resort also allows any amount of people on one stand which just leads to people taking over part of someone else's stand. There are also not enough toilets for the amount of people.

We were camping in a tent and luckily the spot was paved as it rained the whole week. The hot water pools was Devine and welcome as it was chilly outside. No loadshedding at all and the staff very friendly and helpful. Tx Dube we will definitely be back.

Clean, neat, friendly. Was a fabulous long weekend for us. Amenities were great, may need slightly more supervision at slides, warm pools. However, overall was a great experience.

Great place to camp - beautifull and neat bathrooms, lots to do for the kids, great stands except if you camp next to the camp caretakerπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈIf you like a bit of music (soft to normal volume) or playing family games or if you are a loud family this is not the place for you as you will be asked to keep you mouth shut by the rude caretaker. But overall great place.

My family and I had an awesome time here. It is a beautiful well kept lodge. The Animals roam freely so you do not even have to search for them. The accomodation is Luxurious and all the amenities are great, water park with slides and hot pools are very clean and the kids absolutely Loved it! We will definitely return to Dube again

We had a great time camping. Ablution is Squeaky clean, hot water the whole time. Camping stands have paving. The swimming pool and slide area are well-maintained. The only thing i would suggest is to create more space at the swimming pool and slide area. There is not enough space for all the stands fully occupied.

A great camping site set in a serene environment with an entertainment area that will make any individual or family's stay a memorable one among other happy campers creating a relaxed and friendly community. The facilities are well maintained and the shared ablution area will make you feel at home and the sighting of the animals in the reserve whether viewing from the camp site or on a walk through the reserve is one to always remember.

Very nice place. Friendly staff. 2 things they could look at. The camp/caravan stands have thorn trees over them and are very low, so opening your trailer or roof top tent is impossible, have to set up in not ideal spot of the paving off the stand. Please trim the trees and the branches taking up the stands. 2nd thing is the toilets run out of paper in the evening and only replaced after 9 in the morning . But a place I would definitely go back to.

The camping sites are a bit on the small side. So I gave rating of four for the "rooms". Very friendly. Well run and organised. Absolutely great pizzas!! Great family fun. We will visit again.

We love Dube. We hate that they have installed a massive generator that they run until 11:15pm at night, and start up at 6am. Especially when we were camping right next to it. It was extremely unpleasant. I understand 5he need for power, but, but! We are camping, for the sounds of nature, the open skies, wild animals. If I wanted the din of a giant generator, I could have stayed home. On a positive note, the slides are a hit for the kids, the ablutions clean, and because of the giant generator, and a very kitted our caravan neighbor, rugby could be watched....

Excellent weekend away, had a caravan site and a chalets no12. Everything was top notch, BUT the no internet connection will definitely keep me away the next time we all needing a weekend away, can get a Wi-Fi connection sitting outside the shop, but that is not good enough, need a connection in the chalets or in the caravan park The day everyone was due to pack up and leave it rained all night and the next morning so that was also a letdown, But still I give a 5 star, ablutions also 5 star, shop don’t take cash so gotta send my credit card with my son to get a loaf of bread, and the ladies in shop struggled to get a connection with little wifi

It is a lovely place for family holidays. Enough activities to keep children happy. Nice walking or driving on the farm. Beautiful game to see. Very busy. Caravan stands to close to one another.

It's was so relaxing (peace and quiet ) . The chalets was clean. And being in between the animals was great. And the heated pools just what you need after a stressful year. Friendly service included. Really enjoyed our stay

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Camping and caravaning is a delight. Lots to do around the pool area amd game drives. Having to vacate camping stands by 10:00 on a Sunday morning however, does not work.

Booked Enkeldoring for 5 nights. Chalet was clean with basic furniture. Sleeps 5 but no cupboard for 3 single beds. TV mounted on dining table which makes it difficult to use the table. Warm water must be adjusted, EXTREMELY HOT, which is dangerous. Braai was only cleaned 1 time by maintenance staff. No glass bowl for salad. No oven mittens. Cell phone reception and wifi only available at main complex and of poor quality. Office staff friendly and helpful. Loadshedding was well managed with switch over to solar. Pools were clean and enjoyable. Game in good condition, self-drive ok with 4x4 but not recommended for normal cars.

A great getaway close to PTA and JHB. With game, warm/cold pools, slides, takeaway, ample stands, tidy ablutions, security, catch & release fishing, and a great family friendly atmosphere. Well worth the visis.

Overall great experience at Dube. Still close enough to Johannesburg and Pretoria. Game reserve is well kept, ablutions are clean and well maintained. Pools are clean, ample game for viewing. Can highly recommend to families or couples for a quick affordable getaway.

Dube is a new find for us. We stayed three nights and loved it! Very clean ablution facilities, great indoor swimming pool and lovely outdoor pool and slides. Nice little shop offering lots of nice treats. Lots of bird- and wildlife and plenty of trees. They are updating all their camping stands which will make it more comfortable. Absolutely will go back to Dube.

What an amazing experience. We were day visitors, specifically going to the water park. The slides were fun but not too rough for our son. There are three indoor swimming pools in the pool complex with different levels of heating, an outdoor pool and 5 different slides of varying intensity. Nothing too wild though. The food was great and the seating is comfortable. There is also a small play area for young children with soft play grass. We loved it so much!

Great place. Clean, good vibe and loads to do. The shop is well priced and they have good packages for a one month or midweek stay. The camping prices for a weekend is just a bit rough, but that's probably the only negative point there is.

The ladies at Reception are absolutely professional and friendly, always willing to help, that makes a start of a long week to look forward to. The caravan park and facilities are really clean and accommodates for a family and individuals, so much to do for the kids. I would recommend Dube to many friends and family

The camp ablutions are great, always clean and have hot water. The swim area is awesome, enough shade and activities to keep young and old entertained. Safe camp site.

A nice place overall. The heated pools and the slides are awesome. The place is well laid out, has decent dirt roads and some wild. The camp sites are mostly spacious and well laid out. They have very strict rules for everyone's benefit but they are not enforced at all. Complaints to the no music rule is not taken on at all. So much so that it is a general thing to find every few camp sites having a very loud party till late at night and that made the whole experience rather awful with mixes of strange and old music being played loudly all round you and even some lude not fit for children songs at full blast. There are also no supervision on the swimming facilities again leading to people doing whatever they like to the detriment of all others. The little shop while very busy had a very limited range of items overall so come very prepared.

We really enjoy our stays at Dube. Peaceful, quite, safe, birds all around us. Only pleasure to watch. Well maintained ablutions, camping area well maintained. Swimming, entertainment area only a pleasure, well laid out and relaxing to use. The indoor heated pool, what a beauty. Friendly, competent, professional staff. Shop offers variety of items and essentials. Huge generator to keep lights and fridges on, thanks highly appreciated. Lots to keep you busy with. Took my MTB with, ride all along the perimeter of the reserve, more than 7 kilometres, what a pleasure and joy Thanks Keep up the good work. Regards Kobus and Hilda.

Great fun for family, short drive out of Pretoria, camping ablutions are clean and tidy, the camp site is in close proximity to ablutions and main swimming pool area, love the super-tube rides. Game viewing self drive was a lovely experience. We will be back for more.

This place is absolutely the best. It's a great place to get away for a week end and to meet new people. They have a lot of attractions from wildlife to waterslides...

Great camping experience. Situated inside the Dube Private Game reserve. Plenty of wildlife such as Giraffe, Impala, Zebra, Njala, Blue Wildebeest, Eland, Waterbuck. Camping sites are well demarcated and most are brick paved. All stands have access to electrical and water points. Bathroom facilities are of a very high standard. Main reception office are only open during certain hours, so be certain to do your planning for arrival accordingly, else you might have to spend some extra time looking foe your camping spot. Great water park with 5 decent water slides, 2 cold water pools and an indoor hot water pools facility.

Dube, we enjoyed our stay, camping at one of there luxury camp sites, own kitchen and bathroom. They service it daily. Dustbins and braai get cleaned daily. Something they can start replacing (braai's)as they are really in a bad condition. We enjoyed the hot water pool a lot, the only problem there is when people leave the doors open when they get to hot. The staff, reception and shop were very friendly and helpful. The game walk/drive was a hit. Cycling between the buck. Using the little dam to paddle board and enjoying photography with all the bird species. Just sorry that the little pottery shop was closed, would have been nice to tackle a project. All in all, it was an enjoyable week.

Great place with plenty activities for young and old. Heated pool, water slides, and shop with everything you'll need. Ablution facilities are well kept with laundry equipment. Most Campsites are paved and have water and electricity. Enough shade provided by trees. Self drive game drives with ample game to view. High clearance vehicle required on certain roads. Tariffs are reasonable.

Love the tranquility. Just a pity the office could not provide me with a split invoice as requested. Seemed like too difficult a task for them. If not for this I would have given them 5 stars.

Camp site (stand) not clean on araival.(sigaret stompies and old chips all over the stand etc) On arival some workers approach me and ask if they could help me with the caravan tents.I told them i only have R20 on me at that moment and they are more than welcome to help if they want to,they decide to declined my offer.(did not have extra cash on me at that moment and also did not want to abuse them for their help either). Workers are loud early mornings 2-3am in the mornings at main gate. After all everything were good and clean at the amblition blocks and the main entertainment also good. (Just my thoughts and experience).

  • 5/5 Bertus du P. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent facilities. New ablution block is the best i have experienced. Well stocked shop and good restaurant. Big screen tv's to watch the rugby. Well managed. Staff are very helpful and friendly at all times. Experienced staff available to pitch tents should one need help setting up. Bushveld tree forest and name tags on lots of trees in the park. Beautiful chalets around the dam. Caravan stands close to the main centre are however crammed too close to each other. Otherwise a well deserved 5 star resort.

It's easy to see why Dube is in everybody's top three destinations! The resort is impeccably maintained! There is an on-site shop that is extremely well stocked with everything from camping essentials to family favourites to pillows and towels all at incredibly reasonable prices. There are also a variety of takeaways available again catering for all tastes and budgets! Tables and chairs are plentiful with a TV outside for those who want to catch the game! All of the pools and water features are crystal clear and maintained throughout the day! Ablutions are again spotless with a light airy and modern feel! One note however is that ground is extremely hard, so either go prepared or make use of the on site team to assist with setup! In summary the resort is run and managed extremely well, the professional and friendly staff are always on hand to assist and should either young or old misbehave it is dealt with extremely discretely an appropriately!

We come to Dube for camping. Most of the stands are now levelled and paved with good shade. Ablutions neat and clean. 3 pools, 1 indoor heated. Great place for kids. Shop and takeaway food. It gets very busy but worth a visit.
