Very quiet break away, great place and well located. The rooms were nice and clean, although the linen was a little worn. The staff I met were great, friendly and very helpful. I was fortunate to have the entire place to myself, enjoyed the pool and the outside shower.

December 2009 There are 8 chalets, sleeping 2 each. For small kids, they’ll add beds in the lounge. There are only 4 hangers in the bedroom (yikes…) and no drawers for t-shirts, shorts and undies. Open plan kitchen and lounge, with lovely Jetmaster and comfortable cane furniture. A wall divides the bedroom from the lounge/kitchen. There’s a separate toilet, but the big corner bath is in the bedroom (no shower) – and looks out onto the river. Outside on the verandah there’s a braai, picnic table-set and a shade made with thin poles. (Not watertight, but luckily we had no rain.) About 100 m from the chalets, is a huge lapa. Complete with a whirlpool swimming pool, a larger (not too deep) pool, braai area, chairs and loungers. Driving past prune trees (with very small prunes), we saw zebras, emus and various small and bigger bucks. Waking up just before 6 am, I heard this funny noise. When Hein Pretorius said hot air balloons, I shot out of bed, grabbed the camera, unlocked the door and there they were … we were right next to Bill Harrop’s Balloon Safari’s and the sight was lovely. As you watch the flame go up, you only hear the noise a few seconds after.

Best place to go with family to rest relax out of the busy city. My kids live camming here to swim and look at the new animals. Staff friendly. See you soon.

I was quite impressed with my stay at the Little Swift Chalets. It is clear that management takes great care in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for guests. Additionally, the thoughtful gesture of providing milk and cookies was a nice touch that enhanced my stay. Little Swift Chalets excels in offering unique experiences. With access to farm animals, zebras and wildebeests, we enjoyed interacting with wildlife. The chalet's riverfront location is a standout feature, providing a serene setting and beautiful views. The bathtub with a river view adds an extra touch of luxury, and the chalets offer a good level of privacy, making it an ideal choice for a peaceful getaway. One area for improvement is the clubhouse, which appeared a bit run down. While it didn't significantly affect my stay, some maintenance and updates would enhance the overall experience. Despite this, Little Swift Chalets is a unique and enjoyable destination with great potential for further improvement.

We went through in 2022 and now about to go there again this weekend. Everything is just amazing and we'll thought out.

Great place to relax and enjoy nature. Had a great time relaxing. Loved sunrise with Bill Harrop's hot air balloons complimenting the view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Swift. We had everything we needed and Ephilene was always available when needed. The chalets are right on the river with the best view from the patio, which is where we spent most of time enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The best part was relaxing in the bath with a view of the river and complete privacy. I would definitely recommend this place for a weekend away or an overnight if attending a wedding in the area.

This was a wonderful chalet. We really appreciated that they took the time to make provision for loadshedding. The place was mostly clean, but unfortunately there were a number of spider webs which could have been cleaned before our arrival inside the chalet. Overall we enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the peace. It was good to be surrounded by nature- there are buck and zebras walking around which was such a delight. The big bath tub and outdoor shower are definitely the highlights! Along with the clean swimming pool and whirlpool.

Very nice place, beautiful location and beautiful rooms. Just very poor service. It's difficult to get room keys, difficult to get service to pay for firewood and ice and very difficult to get a hold of someone to open the gate (post handing in room key).

Beautiful place with neat and well-kept chalets. Extremely friendly staff, well-spoken English which was refreshing and helpful. Nature was beautiful, animals is lovely and healthy. Went for long relaxing walks, loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere and restful environment. Will highly recommend this venue for someone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle in Gauteng. Short drive and definitely worth it. Loved it.

A home away from home indeed, our stay was amazing. The owners as well as the staff are so friendly and willing to assist with anything. I really appreciate all efforts pulled through to make our stay so comfortable. Little Swift Chalets definitely a winner🥇

The place is very peaceful, welcoming, loving and the sight was marvelous with friendly animals as well. The reason for the fifth star is the check out time of 16:00, that was what took my partner and I by surprise. I'd go back any given day

The place is clean and well maintained. Perfect place to breakaway from the busy city lifestyle. The geographic positioning couldn't be any better. The views from the corner bath is a jackpot. The place is just what lovers need. There is no TV, I know u worried but believe you me, you'll thank ourself later. Little Swift offers more than what you expected..

It's was a lovely family weekend away, just needs a little TCL, it's needs to cleaned up a little more, lots of spider webs. The fly trap was too close to the chalet, that smell was awful. There needs to be a small kids area with a trampoline and maybe swing. The trees by the dam needs to be cut, we couldn't fish at all, kept getting hooked on the tree branches, my hubby and son was very disappointed but the pool area made it up for everything else, other than that it's a beautiful place.
