Perfect romantic retreat. After 5 visits we still can't find it fault. Beautiful old fashioned luxury with, this time the added delight of an open fire in our room. Beds are massive & comfortable & meals are home cooking at its very best. Well done to Terence & John, they've created perfection!

Taking one back to a more gracious era with marvelous attention to all detail. The cuisine is top notch and service attentive. A mountain range to gaze on or walk free. Take a deep breath and smell the roses.

Lovely place for a quick break from jhb. Food was superb, rooms tastefully decorated and very clean. Grounds and walks to the mountain very scenic - highly recommend

What a delightful old world place. We had a great 2 day stay. John was an amazing host and I could have taken him home especially for his culinary skills. The place is like living in olden times with antiques and decor to match. I remember having quite a lot of his stuff when I was younger. His staff are also incredible. It is a happy place. Thank you for a wonderful 2 days John.

A retreat nestled at the foot of the beautiful ancient mountain with starry nights, sumptuous 4 course dinners, farm breakfasts and gracious hosts. Take an easy morning or sundowner stroll to the windmill, or rise early and tackle the mountain. Views are for the soul. Well, Quiet Mountain Country House is all for the soul. Perfect for a tranquil weekend away, or a special break. I've spent time here solo for a few days of peace and have also visited with friends and family.
