Lovely modern lodge, just 45 minutes outside of Johannesburg. Close enough to home, yet it still feels like you're out in the middle of the African Bush. Lovely birding opportunities and short walks on prepared paths suitable for the whole family. When you get back to the lodge, have a dip in the pool or keep warm by the large fire pits. Rooms are stylish, comfortable, well maintained and clean, with friendly staff available when needed.

The most amazing weekend away, so close to town but yet the feeling of being alone in the bush! Lovely little walks on short trails around the lodge was perfect for our family with young kids to explore nature and feel the fresh air and warm sunshine! The lodge, accommodation, pool and multiple braai areas were all first class. The stone kraal staff also treated us like family and served us hand & foot! This is an amazing place and a must getaway for everyone!

ABSOLUTELY exceptional setting and accommodation. Every single touch point that a customer engages with from the efficient and awesome attitude staff to the comfort & generous space of the rooms/lounge/bar area to the tranquil special setting with the dam & pool is incredible at Stone Kraal. We used Stone Kraal for the weekend to house our family & bridal party as we got married in the area and looking back we wished we had our wedding at Stone Kraal it was so perfect! Cannot recommend this place more!

Really beautiful setting. Perfect for guests of the wedding venue next door. Maybe not so great if you aren't part of the wedding because it may be a bit noisy - but there is a strict "music off at midnight" policy. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the facilities are superb.

Attended a wedding, and the venue was intimate, tranquil, and very well run. Staff is efficient and very helpful and courteous.

An amazing and beautiful place to relax and connect with the African bush and it is just half an hour from home. Can sit back and listen to a wide variety of bird life or go on walks on the well prepared pathways through the bush. The accommodation and multiple braai areas were very well maintained. Stone Kraal staff treated us like family, always a friendly smile and always eager to help. Will definitely recommend Stone Kraal to anyone who would like a perfect get away. We will make a point to go back.
