Chilled atmosphere. Afrikaans vibes with music and rustic decor. Huge portions!!! They have a R300 burger. Their nachos comes in a tin. The regular is too big for one person. Inside dining room area, a more relaxed outside area and an upstairs areas that can be booked out. There is also a seperate bar area which is the busiest. Live shows on certain nights.

Do yourself a favour and order the XL Nachos with chicken - one of the sharing options. But come hungry! It came in a recycled 750ml coffee tin, which was tipped over onto a platter, with nachos, cheese sauce, and chicken strips spilling out. Guacamole, sour cream and salsa were served separately. Hubby and I finished only half of the dish - probably enough for 3 to 4 people.

Great service and delicious food! The ONLY aspect of our experience that I could fault, and I honestly hope Bosvelder address in future, is that smokers should be seated where their smoking can't affect non-smokers. It is, after all, now illegal to smoke in public areas.

I am so disappointed. First time there and it was a disaster. Waited 3hrs for food to arrive and when it came it was cold. Sent it back and waited another 20 mins for them to bring it back. When I spoke to the manager about the poor service, he just gave me attitude and every excuse under the sun. Still had to wait for the bill but couldn't find waiter so eventually had to go ask at front desk for the bill and was once again given attitude by the lady at the front. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and will never go back. First impressions last and I was highly disappointed. There are much better restaurants around. Don't waste your money. The food is not that fantastic.

The food and drink was excellent and so was the service. This place also offers an excellent vibe however you can expect quite a bit of hearing loss when attending late at night due to excessively loud music and as a person who loves loud music I have to say it was a bit much even for me. Another thing that may potentially ruin an otherwise excellent evening is the ever present looming threat of frequent barfights, which bouncers (if present) do usually sort out quickly and isn't exactly the fault of the restaurant, but I do feel bares mentioning.

We are frequent patrons of Bosvelder and the food and atmosphere is amazing. The only downside is that the nicest area to sit, is under the tree and this is also the smoker's area. We have quite often had to move inside or to the deck to escape the smoke while we were busy eating.

Worst service we've ever received, receptionist waived us inside and said a waiter will be with us shortly. Waited 15 minutes en then left on the way out informed reception about our long wait and she didn't even react. Always loved going here but wont be back.

This restaurant was a really good first Pretoria experience given i know absolutely no Afrikaans & just moved from kzn.. they were so accommodating as to give me a menu in English. Such vibey people! The food was also pretty great! Have to try it out.. especially the biggest cocktail on the menu 😁

I've eaten at Bosvelder four times in the last month and a half. It's currently my favourite restaurant. Excellent food! Great service with friendly waiters. A nice mellow and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent burgers and steaks! I love the extra menu traditional South African menu options as well. Even though I know it's a steak house, it would be nice if they had a few extra menu options for vegetarians. Falafels are really easy to make, for example.

I had been craving ribs and beers so we decided this was the place for me to have my birthday lunch. Although the place was pumping with year end functions, we were easily accommodated. Our waitress was extremely effiencent and provided our little table with excellent service. Thank you for making my lunch such wonderful experience.

If you want to experience the greatest variety of South African tradition foods this is the place for you! As a frequent customer I will add that they do get busy and sometimes the service is not up to standard, however tonight was not the case and we had a fantastic night out! Arrived got seated instantly. Waited for menus for 10 minutes. Ordered a bottle of wine which took 30 minutes+ to arrive. We had to go to the front desk to find out where the wine was...Wine then arrived. We ordered starters as well as mains. Menu is mainly meat focused, so your vegetarian options are limited to pap fingers, chips, Jalapeño poppers, and veggies. Not the classiest venue, so it mainly caters to conservative rugby fans. So, know what to expect. Not bad, just not the most inclusive vibe.

However, it does get too loud on certain nights so you won't be able to have a conversation with the person next to you on table. A tried and tested pub in Centurion. The only issue is the parking, but it's a minor inconvenience. Try the pap fingers and their steaks. They have really updated their menu to near "fine dining pub food".

The bad - service was slow, no cutlery for my daughter when her food arrived (asked for fish bites but got fish fingers - a heads up would have been great since toddler expectations are a thing) Burger patty was dry and crumbled when cut. Could have been mince since I had to fork scoop it. Cracked glasses for drinks The ugly - they need to up their game with cleanliness. Table had hair stuck to it and grime was becoming sticky, glass on the ground, hole at the jumping castle step is a broken ankle waiting to happen and random litter my kid picked up. Verdict: great if you want drinks and entertainment and don't have kids or high food expectations.

I am sad to post this review as my friends and I have always loved frequenting this try South Africa restaurant. The food and restaurant staff are great, don't get me wrong. The problem is with the guys they employ to look after our cars outside. I would urge the management of this establishment to remember that these guys are first people that we have to deal with on arrival. I am shocked at the caliber of people that are supposed to be seen as trustworthy and assurance. The young guys working there are arrogant, rude and in your face. They don't take no for an answer. Being someone who always has a little something for them, then being nagged and berated the one time I don't is to me completely unacceptable. To top that off,I am sorry to say but the smell that comes of him and his buddy was absolutely putrid, like he hadn't bathed in days. He actually seemed like he was on something as well. If I can avoid the whole bad experience by not going there again, then so be it. Sorry to say but we will be finding a new watering hole. Shocked and disappointed.

I stopped at the Bosvelder Pub and Restaurant this is always a highlight of my week when I get the chance to go dine out for a lunch break. Wow the T Bone steak special is something else add a pint of lager and you're very close to heaven on earth. When I was there a lot of preparations we're going on for the 2023 Rugby world cup starting just a couple of hours later. In spite of all the preparations the food was delicious and the beer was cold on a scorcher of a day the mushroom sauce that came with the steak was almost not necessary the meat was delicious on its own. Definitely a long time favourite of mine and one of the more well known restaurants in the Centurion area. I am sure they have the ability to even make toast taste extraordinary. The staff were friendly and efficient and they kept me fed and hydrated for the duration of the stay. Will definitely be watching more World cup games there during this RWC. You won't be disappointed unless it's a total anomaly or you're impatient. Enjoy dining there.

Had an amazing time watching the rugby last night! Even though it was packed our waiter was still able to be diligent with his service and the food and drinks arrived quickly. The food was great and the portions were huge. And the atmosphere was amazing! I definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be visiting again!

We have always had a good experience at Bosvelder, but after last night it was likely the last time. Long waits, no cutlery or straws (we had to ask and wait long for any action), average food and a rude waiter. Hope the owner is aware of how the service has deteriorated. The 10% tip automatically added onto the bill should be earned and not the rude waiter's right. Very sad indeed.
