My Family and I went for lunch on Tuesday 27 December. It was the most horrible experience. They only had 1 x waiter serving around 15 tables. He was running around like a headless chicken, missing orders and not attending to most customers. He took our order and I asked him to rather write it down, but he ensured me he knows what he is doing. He then forgot to order our food from the kitchen. About 10 min later another person came to check what we ordered, just to realize it was not ordered in the 1st place. When our food came, the bacon was raw on my sandwich. We then ordered drinks, but it never arrived....absolute shocking service. When I spoke to the Manager, he brushed it off did not even have the decency to apologise. We got the bill and it was incorrect as well. I will NEVER go back there ever and I do not recommend the restaurant at all.

I wish I’d gotten a picture but the mini pizzas that we paid for were a complete rip off at R70 each. They were more like pizza breads that I could have paid R20 for at a spar. It’s not often that I feel ripped off at a restaurant but in this instance I did. I can’t say that I would go back again.

We were seated. Waited for about 10 minutes for a menu all the waiters were walking in and out of the kitchen. Made no eye contact with any of the new customers that was seated. When we left eventually the hostess made sure to not look in our direction. As we were seated in the main area we thought we would at least receive menus, or be greeted by a waiter, we know how busy these places get.

My wife and visited for lunch on Saturday and ordered roast beef and onion hot subs, the beef was grisly, tough and basically inedible. Very disappointing, needless to say we certainly won't go back, ever.

This place should be avoided. The food is over priced and the menu extremely limited. Soft drinks and low alcohol beer are the same exorbitant price. If I could give it a minus zero rating I would.

Had a lovely breakfast. Food was fresh and homemade. Friendly and helpful service. Beautiful setting.

Food is average and pricy. I was very disappointed with the management of the place. Someone, I believe the manager, had a screaming match with one of the employees at the counter, and everyone had to listen to it while trying to enjoy their time. This is very disrespectful towards staff, a good manager should always handle disagreements or problems in a private office or behind closed doors as that would be the professional way, and not in-front of all your patrons.

We had the French toast and the "fresh" baguette. The baguette was old, the French toast bland. Over and above my husband receiving the wrong coffee twice the rusk that came with it was completely inedible. When asked about the food we were merely told they will let management know. No apologies, no offer to perhaps find a fresher baguette or unburnt rusk. Very disappointing.

Shocking to say the least after being there for an hour only my wife's food was brought to the table all be it only a bowl of oats .My food which is a menu regular never made an appearance. Not a word from the waiter or manager three other table's the food was sent.Only after I got up to leave did the waiter appear with the bill which was wrong and still had my breakfast on it which I never got . No apologies from him or the manager just some lame story about a mix up in the kitchen. Sorry guys I will not set foot in that place ever again first and last time .

Wow nice baguettes!! We had a biltong and Feta, then a parmaham and feta. Damm it was nice! Nice view as well. Defintely a MUST visit 2nd visit, few years later in April 2023. Portions are HUGE! Wraps are incredible. We also had millshakes and beers. I would like more food options on the menu. In general, still a stunning place.

A pleasant experience with a deliciously warm baguette with plenty of meat, cheese and salad. A really enjoyable experience.

When my wife and I have friends from out of town visiting, we usually take them for lunch here when we do the Hartbeerpoort routes and it was always a very pleasant experience. On Sunday 30th April, we did it again to our embarrassment. The lady serving us clearly didn't want to be there. She didn't know what juices were available and after we ordered, the kitchen personnel had to come over to ask what we ordered. She also forgot to order still water for our guest. The personnel were quarreling constantly and there was a general unpleasant atmosphere. The restaurant was fairly busy but wasn't fully packed at the time. Our food order took more than half an hour to reach us. We were never asked if we wanted anything else nor was there checked if the food was in order. The waiter visited us 3 times only. The first when ordering drinks, the second when fairly rudely asking if we're going to eat something and the last time when bringing the cardmachine.

Ordered two condensed milk coffees from Opstal Eet Plek, they tried 2 card machines and 4 transactions and still decided to keep me there 20 mins with their machines not having signal, still they could not compensate me with the cold coffee I ordered Terrible place

Latte was with too much milk. Cappacino good. Strange to have milkshakes served without a spoon or straws or serviettes. Not even in a saucer. Dissapointing

Nice decor and friendly staff and good service. Good coffee. R80 for a seeded vegetarian bun with 3 pieces of feta cheese and a few mushrooms and green pepper pieces and tomato pieces and very little melted mozarella cheese on top is not worth the view.

Waste of time to go there. They brought one cappuccino in stead of two without explaining. After waiting and waiting we asked the waitress what the hold up is, she said the machine broke! We then ordered an orange juice which took sooo long, so we eventually asked for the bill.

Went there for a Sunday breakfast recently. Was happy to see Vegan options on the menu but after receiving the presentation was horendous! I ordered seeded roll but was offered a plain one because the kitchen apparently didn't have any. The meal was appalling and my complaint to management fell on deaf ears. Give this one a miss, there are better alternatives in Harties!

A relaxing atmosphere at this restaurant, with great views from the deck. Local and homemade dishes available with vegetarian options. Coffee, Cuppachino and Milkshakes are great. It is just above the bookshop with an awesome selection of books, DVD s, CD s and other stationary. The restaurant is about a 30 min drive from Pretoria and suitable for the whole family. The fresh produce to buy at the local shop is well priced and a great variety of goods are available!

Very friendly service, waitresses are professional and sweet. The food came very quickly- although it was very quiet. Food is average, it’s not bad. I had the fruit salad and wasn’t much to write home about. I make better at home. Makes for some pleasant and peaceful views though
