Very comfy, very inviting, This particular Mercure offers excellent accommodation in easy vicinity of the airport. And despite this, air traffic is not an issue, neither is the main road on which the hotel lies. *Very* friendly service, welcoming and gracious. Super helpful with any issues we've had. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable. Suites are equipped with kitchenettes and two bedrooms. The beds offer excellent rest, very comfortable and relaxing. Bathrooms are clean, well maintained. Overall, it shows that this place is not new, but a lot of care and love have been put into keeping it in condition. They bathrooms would be improved with added towel hanging fixtures. The shower fixtures may sometimes be leaky (which led to a harmless and comic mishap with our toilet paper). The carpets in the rooms have seen some use, something I always struggle with a little, since I am sensitive to dust.

This accommodation did justice to my vacation. Easy access to and fro O.R Tambo International Airport and just opposite the East Gate Mall. The mall literally had most things I wanted. The accommodation was good, clean and smelt nice. Rodent and pest free with an amazing range of meals on the menu.

Service is poor. Reception is something, that act like they have this laaaa...zzy.. attitude. Rommsxare well maintained... location is cool. Remarkable is actually their security staff, who can literally remember all patrons, great them well.. well done in that..

The hotel is located behind Eastgate mall, really easy access. They have outside suite rooms on two levels. The suites are separated into units of two ground floor and two top floor which gives a type of open space feeling. There are also conference facilities, as well as a dining room. Super friendly staff all round. Really enjoyed my stay there while training.

I stayed here for about 3 days. My hotel row didn't have a WiFi connection, and even though I didn't need the WiFi, I couldn't get network on my phone either! The service was nice tho and the beds were comfortable but other than that, I think that some things need to be changed. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice place to sleep for the night, and if you don't use your phone alot. Only for calls. Also, the plugs behing the TV should be moved to a more accessible place, incase guests want to plug in a PlayStation. It took us a long time, but we got the PlayStation in and we played it because of no network...again, a place to sleep at if you don't have an issue of having to constantly be connected to the internet

The staff are very friendly & assistful. I was allowed an early check-in which was welcomed. I enjoyed that the apartments due provide more privacy especially with parking bays next to the rooms. I would of enjoyed help with luggage up the stairs though. Rooms are a bit dated but clean & fit for purpose. Unfortunately l had a room closer to the main room which can get quite noisy in the morning when traffic picks up. Generator power available during load shedding.

This is my second week stay. Great place to stay, I was really surprised by the level of staff courteousness and friendliness....they are amazing all of them from room service and Themba, restaurant manager, he has exceptional customer service skills. The food is awesome and location is perfect, opposite mall.

The hotel and the team is great. The restaurant is wonderful, and the team is great. Reception is wonderful and the people working at the desk is great. rooms are big, with also big parking. last of it all, you'll be safe with the great security.

Rooms:TVs dont always work properly,but they are very clean and security is good,far one of the safest places in Joburg Food :They even make Pap,awesome food Location :Very central and convenient,stone throw away from eastgate Mall,next to the highway and the airport is close

Offers very basic hospitality. The staff are barely helpful though pleasant. Rooms are spacious with all amenities. Spotless accommodation. Safe and secure

The food was great and the restaurants was great. The rooms and beds were comfortable and they were fun days.

Went here for strategic planning, the conference room was well equipped and we were well catered for, loved their sandwiches and dessert. They have a beautiful dining room and a beautiful scenery outside of the dining room with lounging chairs a swimming pool and a sitting area with shade.

The staff at the reception need additional training, I wasn't that impressed with my checkin process. The rooms are gr8 except for the opened box of condoms I found on the top shelf where the blanket is stored. There was no soap for one to use the bath and there are no extras such as tooth brushes, hair caps, etc which you would normally find at other Accor hotels. The location is excellent, right opposite Eastgate Mall and 15 min from O.R.Tambo Airport.

Always good staying there but this time my wife got a whole lot of bites by bed bugs in the couch in our room 🙈

Ideally situated for my business travel needs. Staff are friendly and pleasant, breakfasts are good, and the rooms are comfortable, even if they are in need of a good spruce up. I will be back to stay again in the future.

Exceptional service. The rooms are dated but immaculate. Clean and well looked after. Could do with some updating. The location is across from Eastgate so you can just walk there. The staff have to be commended for being courteous, efficient and so friendly.

The rooms were beautiful, the receptionist was friendly, the only issue was the Nigerian guys that were perving over our young daughters and nieces, they kept coming around to where we stayed and kept asking the young girls to "hug them", one guy was lurking around the windows peeping, the other guy and lady kept coming to our rooms to say we are making a noise which made it a bit challenging to enjoy ourselves.

A modern update is required in the rooms, they don't look so nice. Comfortable for just an overnight stay but wouldn't recommend to friends and family. Catering services sucks, buffet and get told you can only eat once after being charged R300 is ridiculous

Spacious unit, with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and equipped kitchen. It has just been neglected here and there and the carpets needs replacement. Across a shopping mall and close to other shopping malls too. Very conveniently situated. I had a delicious breakfast

The place look decent from outside and very easy to find but that just it. Guy at the reception was the cold as ice. We were shocked when we went into our room, the floor rug was visible dirty as you walk in. The lace curtains were so dirty they had oils stains and were torn. The curtains were so shriveled and were just hanging on the rails . No towels in the bathroom, we had to request them. We even attempted to look for alternative accommodation.

It is a home away from home, the suites got the feel of the kitchen, sitting room and the bedroom. The only negative is just the carpet that looks to be old.

It was okay. It even had WiFi and enough kitchen utensils for those who like self catering. Just opposite the East gate mall so you can walk.

Nice centre with the best staff but rooms are dated.. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is simply but very tasty... Brilliant coffee

Lovely room very clean. Unfortunately other people have no respect for others loud music and loud parties well after curfew time Did complain to reception but noise didn't stop. Staff very friendly and helpful 👍

I had a group training session here and was pleasantly surprised with the lovely venue and helpful staff. The catering was plentiful and the lunch was excellent. This is truly a top notch venue for events, conferencing and seminars. They also seemed to have a lot of accommodation which helps for the larger events and guests coming from afar. The location was easily accessible and close to the airport. The security personnel was very friendly and helpful.
