What an amazing restaurant with a beautiful view. Everything in this place is soothing and calming. You can see a bit of Melville while eating dinner or lunch. The service from the staff is top notch and their food comes quick. Usually after ordering our drinks we waited less than 5 minutes to get our food. I ordered a cheese burger and it was the best cheese burger I’ve had in a while. It is suitable for dates with your partner or to bring your family as it is kid friendly. There are also rooms as part of the accommodation. Before you go there be sure to book online for a table.

Outstanding. We booked a mid-week stay for our anniversary and it exceeded my expectations. I was warmly greeted with my own choice of welcome drink, followed by an extremely well prepared dinner. Our room was comfortable and well equipped with all the modern amenities. I was also pleasantly surprised when I found out that our breakfast was included as we were staying guests. The menu is reminiscent of my old favourite breakfast spot, Pablo’s Eggs-Go Bar, which I’ve missed terribly. Our waiter Andrew was superb and made our evening extra special. Can’t wait to come again.

Thank you to James, our waiter for the experience of excellent service as our appointed waiter was to “busy” to assist. The security guy was helpful and did more than he should, friendly guy and he showed us where to park. The view of the place is really amazing, the couches are cozy as well, a great place to have drinks with friends.

The perfect place for a little escape from the city life. So peaceful. I wouldn't have imagined finding such a spot would be this convenient. I even forgot to take pics of the beautiful views 🫠 but the food was 💯 and so was the service.

We had a casual dinner with nine people at the Pablo House in the restaurant Dos Manos. The location view is breathtaking. The food is excellent and the service is great. What a gem. This was the first time for us. Five of our friends stayed over and found the rooms and service fantastic. If you live in Johannesburg as we do and you have people that need to stay in Johannesburg we can recommend the Pablo House. If you are looking for a lunch or dinner spot we can also recommend the Pablo House. If you go for dinner keep in mind that the restaurant closes at 22:00.

Loved staying at Pablo House. The staff was friendly, we got welcoming drinks in arrival. Didn't have to stand waiting to be checked in...instead we were offered to sit on a couch, sip on our drinks while we wait. The room was gorgeous....the food delicious. Beautiful views, the owner and his wife...amazing people. It is really Melville hidden gem.

Great hidden gem. The staff is helpful and friendly. Security is vigilant so you feel safe. The rooms are clean and modern. There's art, they're en suite and coffee/tea is available. The lighting of the walkways in the evening is so enchanting. There's an eatery here. If you are looking for a place to stay and you're considering Pablo, you have made a good choice.

Met a few friends for lunch at the venue. Breathless, followed by Breathtaking views, from all the way up the hill. However, I must warn those of you who are as unfit as me ...take the tuktuk to the venue! Do not attempt the vertical uphill walk-drag-your-body gym initiation. But, it is well worth it! The wholesome food, the service, the views that makes you feel like you are on top of the world ...all worth that uphill hike 😀 After lunch, we practically rolled downhill. Huge fun!

It is a lovely place to spend in the middle of Johannesburg, but don't expect entertainment. The vibe and design and a nice restaurant are the reasons you reach here and can spend calm, romantic moments, that is what all of us need! I love this place. Friendly service and decent food, lovely comfy arm chair in my room which I always appreciate. All my friends complain about the loud Muzak constantly piped in the restaurant and lobby, but I convince them to come anyway.

This place is heaven on earth! The views from the restaurant are breathtakingly beautiful! It is a boutique hotel. Booking is essential for the restaurant area. The food, the service, the view is a 10/10. We are planning to have my husband's birthday party there.

This exceeded my expectations. It is in a quiet neighborhood and from the front you would never guess the view that you have from the rooms and the restaurant. The food was stellar and location was an easy Uber ride to where ever we wanted to go. Highly recommend this quaint boutique hotel.

I had the most fantastic stay at Pablo House for my Birthday. The service wasn't just impeccable, the owners were kind and made my stay so special. The rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. The location was amazing with a great view of the sunrise and sunset and the food delicious. 100% recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pablo House. Our room was very modern, nicely furnished and absolutely clean. We got welcome drinks after arrival and early check-in was not a problem at all. The view over the city was fantastically beautiful, we didn't expect that. The food, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, was excellent. The pizza was one of the best we have ever eaten. All the staff and the owner himself are super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back and can recommend it 100%.

This place was a good surprise. I went at night so couldn’t enjoy the benefits of what otherwise could have been a beautiful view. They mess up our booking (“it was not on their system”), but ended up accommodating us. The place is actually very nice and beautiful unlike almost every other place in the area. The food was very good, but I believe that both food and drinks are a little bit overpriced for a place that has slow service and not enough infrastructure. (R115 for a margarita pizza). It is, I think, the bar of a guesthouse, turned into a restaurant, so, it has so much potential but not yet there. Btw, curiously there is only one bathroom for the entire place, but it was two toilets in it, put together without divisions.

I've been coming to Pablo House for years! I've had my last 3 birthdays there and loved every single one, the cocktails are great and the food is even better. The only downfall I found was not being able to drive there (as there is limited parking that is reserved for overnight guests). The view from the resturant makes Pablo House stand out for me when it comes to similar priced places. Just make sure to book!

Good restaurant for light meals. A good wine selection too and an excellent view from the dining area. A bit like a Cape wine farm. We didn't stay over so I can't comment on the rooms.

We were so lucky to be referred to this boutique hotel in Joburg. The property is stunningly beautiful and the room is comfortable and inviting. Set in a beautiful part of town, the guests are a combination of international travelers, repeat guests and locals, making for a wonderful place to interact with interesting people. The food is exceptional. Every dish is made with care. It's not only tasty, but also lovely in the presentation. Everyone including the owners and staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome. :)

Ate at the restaurant here, and it is a very cute place to dine at. All the decoration here is very aesthetically pleasing to be surrounded by, as it gives me a "greenhouse" vibe. The staff is very friendly, and helped us to be comfortable when we needed to move the table away from the sun, and helped put up an umbrella to block out more sun when needed. The food here is yummy, and very good portions. However, the food and cocktails did take longer than expected, and there was no updates or anything to inform us how much longer the food was going to take (we waited around 1 hour and 15 min for our food) One huge downfall is the parking space here. There is hardly any parking (around 5 spaces, which are mainly reserved for hotel guests) and if you want to park, you are requested to park 7 min away (by the SuperSpa) and you have to walk up a very steep hill to get to the restaurant. But overall, besides the walk, and slow delivery of food/drinks. I did enjoy it here.

The hotel is located in a very nice neighbourhood but the parking places are very limited. The food at the restaurant is very good but the service is very slow. The decoration of the hotel and rooms is very pleasant but the isolation is very poor as it is freezing cold everywhere especially in the rooms even with heaters on.

A fantastic place. The service was superb. We celebrated our bookclub's year end with lunch at the Dos Manos Restaurant and slept over at The Villa. And we loved it. Food was tasty. The rooms at The Villa are beautiful 😍.

My husband and I spent the night there, what a wonderful place, in the heart of Melville. Lovely views, room and the breakfast was outstanding. Hope to come back and experience it again for a few more days.

We came to Johannesburg to visit our daughter and stayed at the Pablo House for 4 nights. The Pablo House was the highlight of a great trip. The staff was amazing and very friendly. They were willing to help with all of the requests we had. The food was amazing-especially the breakfast every morning. Our daughter loved joining us each day as well. And our room was phenomenal. The space was so inviting, and the view was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in town!

Hotel is very comfortable and clean. We had been here in August and as it was cold at night we‘ve got warming blankets in the bed.🥰 Food is awesome for breakfast and dinner. Also the view from the restaurant is amazing.

This review is strictly for the restaurant- having visited a few years ago and again last week last week found the food qaulity has really declined, we unfortunately won't be back. The starters were ok, the pizzas for mains were an absolute let down, a far cry from the pillowy neapolitan style pizzas we experienced there last visit. The pork belly pizza was so sweet we actually though there might be sugar in the dough. We opted for a slice of cake for desert, the cake slice was dry and hard on the outside. Beautiful venue but the food is a let down and not worth the price.

Parking off at Dos Manos for a bite at sunset must be one of thee things to do in Johannesburg. They make really good food and have a really good drinks menu too. Great cocktails. One of the best unspoilt views in Johannesburg. They also have really interesting and thought provoking art.
