This hotel is outstanding. After visits to the USA, Panama or Europe, this can clearly be described as follows: Rating 10 out of 10 possible points. The entire staff is empathetic, honest, exemplary in their dealings, attentive and helpful beyond measure. Such a service to people (and to hotel guests) was previously unknown to me and this gave me (positively!) a lot to think about. The hotel management is to be congratulated on this staff, because the staff is the heart of a hotel. A special thanks to the general manager Mr. Tim for the pleasant exchange in the lobby. Spent a weekend on this beautiful hotel. Checking in was a breeze, very efficient process, the stuff was very pleasant. We were assisted with our luggage. The gentleman was very professional,our room was big & spacious. Very clean The bed was big & comfortable Shower was big Everything was on point Our unit was next to the pool, it's a serene place to chill & relax, the water was cold, also the standard of the pool was not so great, it could use some routine maintenance, unless we came at the wrong time. There is dinner was okay, R260 per person. The serving options were standard. The restaurant setting was inviting The waiters were very pleasant, & very helpful. Our waiter Sbu ( I'm not sure if l remember him correctly), was very professional & pleasant, he served us very well. Breakfast options were okay, but they could be better. But nonetheless Breakfast was okay,The restaurant could use the opportunity to improve on their dinner offering Otherwise we enjoyed our stay

Dear owner, my name and surname is here. I am currently staying at your hotel. Had to write a new review to reply to you as requested. My original comment was about the menu not catering adequately for vegetarians and vegans. Not worth the price. Salad shouldn't be an only option in this age where there is such a variety and a number of vegetarians. Dinner only had one option. Breakfast was limited to cereals and cheese. The water was also Luke warm so don't expect to have a hot shower or bath.

Celebrated my birthday lunch on the patio, lovely view of the golf course, all green and fresh, food was delicious as was the bubbly! Thank you for great servcie and lovely experience.

Absolutely fantastic visit. From the gate at security to Reception the warm welcome is fantastic. The Spa Manager Sam, absolute pleasure. The 2 Therapists we had, Christina and Lesley were fantastic. Dora, the lady who helped us to the change rooms and the Sauna Oh wow. What a treat. Such amazing healing hands. We had lunch, wow. Definitely coming back very soon for the love, care and warm, friendly, professional quality service.

We had a Sunday buffet for a friends birthday and was that a truly finger licking good experience. The food set out was gorgeous to look at and so tasty. A huge selection of starters with my choice going to the bean soup with a self baked sourdough bread was really worth it. My wife dove into the array of fish and oysters and some other little delicacies. The mains were veggies, 3 different starch, ox-tail, roast chicken pieces, goulash and 3 different roasts. So difficult to have to make a decision on what to have and what to leave. I settle on the stews while my wife had roast beef and pork. She was over the moon with the roasted meats. .The Yorkshire pudding was a winner and a truly magnificent dish. The pudding table was loaded with all sorts of sweet treats which I decided to give a skip. Everyone else had a go and were all full of praise. Well done chef and your team.

I have heard good things about this place and decided to visit this past weekend with my family . The service is shocking for a hotel with this star rating. I've honestly had way better food and service at a three star hotel. On arrival we were given the wrong room. When my husband complained to the front desk about it ,the receptionist advised that all the rooms were fully booked and that we couldn't change to the room we initially booked. We then decided to check if we could upgrade our room online where we made the booking and it showed three rooms still available. After going back and forth with the front desk receptionist we were finally shown to another room and boy were we in for a surprise . The shower had mold in it , outside balcony was full of bird poo and dirty .We ordered room service and I requested for something to be change on the menu and I was told I couldn't have anything changed because the food was pre cooked and just reheated when ordered. After waiting for an hour for our food, it finally arrived and half the order was missing , the food was stale and cold .Image eating fries that was precooked and reheated. At breakfast I called room service again and was informed they did not have room service available in the morning .I then when to the restaurant to get our breakfast myself and while waiting for them to prepare our drinks, I noticed a waiter packing breakfast and when I asked he said it was for room service and seemed shocked that I said ,I was told it wasn't available in the morning . I confronted the front desk again and the rude receptionist with an attitude told me they only make exceptions and serve room service to certain people in the morning. I wouldn't recommend this hotel , food is horrible and service it worse.

Friends told me this was place was bad, I am so glad I didn’t listen to them, one of my favorite hotels I have stayed at this holiday. The staff were amazing and the room was awesome. Mpumi at reception - zama housekeeping, Johannes at breakfast - from when we arrived to when we left it was phenomenal service - i will definitely be back!!!

This is a good place to visit. It has huge space to host various activities. The rooms are spacious and the service is good. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood which makes it very secure for guests

Having never been here before, it was a lovely change to the usual sprawl of Sandton Hotels. The golf course and the lysh gardens really added a very special touch. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's proximity to the golf club and conference venue made life really easy.

Attended the buffet. Food was average, no disappointments but also no wow factors. The desert selection was amazing.

A total unaccepted action of this resort to use a generator during loadshedding from 11 pm to 1:30am on Sunday. Why a generator when most people are asleep. The noise is horrendous. My unit is right next to the massive generator. So behind times!!!! Most other resorts make use of led lights. Doors and windows may not be opened because of baboon threats. Apparently they never heard of screens to keep wild life out. And that a Gold Crown resort. Obviously the peace and comfort of the visitors are not important

Very surprised to see glowing reviews. Maybe i have different expectations. But i wont stay there again. It was neat by filthy and un hygenic. I have taken pictures of the place. Hopefully can display here. Lots of mould in the bathrooms. I was not comfortable at all to shower there i had to go to a friends house. The toilet similar. The bin was not cleaned. And these are all simple tasks. The curtains were torn and didnt close so people could see inside my room and light came through. Thats just the room. Upon arrival the lady gave me the wrong room i entered and a gentlemen was changing. So clearly safety is an issue. You may think its once odd. But When i got to the reception to complain another family had the same issue. Food. I looked for vegetarian ootions. Really disappointed they didnt cater much. However Isabella the waitron was great and really tried to assist. She even got the chef to come chat to me and aee what can be done. Same with the breakfast. The ladies were kind to tey and make me a toasted cheese sandwich. I think the place has potential but they need to jack themselves up. They are tripping themselves up. But some staff are good and try.

My experience and my stay was horrible. When I arrived for check in my room was not available as I was told that it was still being cleaned at 14h45. As I was walking to my room the hallway had stacks of dirt. The place was not in order in the afternoon and yet check out time is 11h00, why was the place not cleaned. when I finally got to my room, the room had no towels. I had to wait for them,they brought discoloured towels that are supposed to be white but cream white. Later on, I ask for an extra blanket and I was told that there are no blankets, they are still being washed mind you this is around 20h30 in the evening. The resturant doesnt cater for vegans and vegetarians, the cream and everything else had cream. The only thing I could eat from the buffet was butternut, after raising my concerns with the resturant I was still made to pay the full amount. This whole terrible experience made me to cut short my stay, i checked out after the first night. This hotel is not a 5 star, the grading must be 3

Booked a conference here, great service. Set up wasnt ready for our guests 07:30 arrival however our queries were attended to as soon as possible. Tea staff were great. Snacks were good, lunch was enjoyed by all.

I had booked a spa appointment for my gran for Mother’s Day & was hoping to sit in the hotel restaurant to do some work & have breakfast. The gentleman at the front desk told me that would possibly & directed me to the restaurant where I was met by an unpleasant hostess who told me I had to sit outside or in the lounge area which was extremely cold as the door was wide open. Not the kind of service I was expecting & very disappointed by this as I’ve only heard lovely things about this establishment.

It's a beautiful place. From a gorgeous chapel to a sunset view terrace. The staff are so professional. The restaurant is spacious & they even have peacocks roaming around. BUT there's a section of the golf course that is very very close to the terrace & outside seating, with no barrier, which is so dangerous.

Beautiful place tucked away in Randburg. Conference facilities were great and the rooms were spacious and upmarket. The food was good and service was exceptional.

Stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the golf course. Room was nice and had all the features you would want. Bathroom had heated floors and also a bath and large shower. There was a kettle and coffee machine also provided.

What a treasure, right on our doorstep. Lovely view over the golf course from the restaurant. The balcony upstairs has a stunning view of the tree filled suburb. There is an excellent wedding venue and beautiful church for your ceremony 🎑

My hubby ordered the rib eye steak which was impossible to cut into even though it was prepared as medium. When we complained to the head chef he said that they have a new supplier who he blamed the quality of the steak on. The onion rings in the meal were soft & soggy & the chips tasted like frozen chips. I ordered the sea bass which was not fresh at all, it had a fishy taste & the cauliflower purée was over salted. The waiter was very good but everything else about the experience was very disappointing especially after seeing that the restaurant received many awards over the years & that we have looked forward to coming to this restaurant for a long time.

Beautiful rooms, just need a little update Like remote-controlled curtains Updated plug points with USB insert or two pin point for charging phones. Complementary rusks for coffee would be nice. Room service: I called for an iron it took 1 hr 30 min to arrive, and I ended up wearing creased clothes as I was gonna miss going to breakfast where the doors would have been closed at 10 am. The staff make a lot of noise outside in the morning discussing their own business while doing rounds. So there's no sleeping in late The golf club house restaurant has excellent services, do visit there for a drink, and their wings are amazing. The bellhop guys are also amazing. They really do make you feel at home.

We had a booking with my team on Friday the 14th Dec at 15;30, it was such a horrible experience, unfriendly staff that didn’t communicate well with us. They spoke to us as if we were a group of kids, They rushed through everything and even told us to leave while were still trying to relax with my team after the massage. That was such a waste of money , I could have gone else where for a cheaper prize but still receive great service. We felt unwelcome in this place. Such an awful experience

This is far from 5 star service for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was inadequate as you had to constantly wait for items to re stocked, You don’t find clean glasses for juice and when you ask a waiter for anything, it is a slow strike service.

We had a celebration for wife's birthday, a brunch. The meals was a buffet but we had input to the menu. It was deliciously prepared and enjoyed by all. The staff was on the ball, efficient and friendly, we had want for nothing.

I had a bad experience at the restaurant. We waited for so long to get assisted. No one met us and offered a table we basically had to figure it out ourselves. We waited for so long to get a waiter and get our drinks. We ordered cocktails and they looked and tasted horrible (served in a milkshake glass). The cocktails were supposed to be different but they looked the same, like we ordered the same thing. The food was nice. The desert came back melted already and wasn’t nice to eat. I was so disappointed with everything

Amazing vacation spot. Decent breakfast at R140 pp- continental breakfast . Staff on breakfast duty were a hit and miss in terms of timing for food and one order completely wrong. Rooms are great. Golf course is beautiful and the driving range is awesome. Pool is good but needs to be cleaned more due to the bird feathers that will always fall in . Restaurant menu was fine but quite small for a non-meat eater. Reception staff were lovely and super helpful and friendly.

Very average. Black mould in shower on floor, chipped furniture, dirty Aircon filter. Musty smell. Just one bath towel. No menu or any info in room. Friendly well trained staff. Noisy with all the year end functions.

Had a lovely experience at the Fairway Hotel and spa. We booked the special that included one nights stay with breakfast, one main dish for dinner and a spa package!!! Definitely worth the money. The rooms are clean and luxurious. The spa was Amazingly Awesome. The staff are friendly and helpful from the boom to the waiters. We had the steak & roasted pork belly for dinner it was good.

Great venue in Johannesburg. The wedding we attended their was stunning! The food was delicious. The rooms are really neat. The Chapel is lovely - especially with its paper lanterns and white chairs.

The hotel and spa are both very beautiful however the service was not up to scratch. With regards to the hotel rooms the bathtub plug doesn't work so the tub does not retain water. In essense you can't really have a bubble bath. Also after calling maintenance because the TV wasn't working they never picthed up. I had to call again and hour later to be assisted. I also requested to order room service and was told it was not possible as the restaurant was too busy. Reception then advised me that they will ask the resturant to call me to see what they can do. An hour later still no response. I then called and asked for the direct number for the resturant. I proceeded to call the resturant directly and eventually ordered a cheese platter. The platter arrived 35min later, (not a bad waiting time) however it came with with only three crackers, very disappointing. The spa on the other hand was amazing. The therapist was such a delight and had amazing etiquette. They did however forget to give me my spa gift upon departure, which I probably would never have gotten if my husband did go back to the spa to ask for it. The gift was pathetic. Two tiny sample blocks of bath bombs. To end on a positive note, the mushroom risotto which I had for lunch was probably the most delcious I've ever tasted. Compliments to the chef. .

For many years I've went to the Fairway Spa and really appreciated the tranquil atmosphere and professional and friendly staff. I can recommend it for essential regular beauty routines and for extra pampering.

This is not a review of my stay but a comment regarding your booking system for the restaurant. All the numbers on your website are not working buy you say booking is essential. Would have liked to come eat there.I went somewhere else

This place is beautiful, with a professional spa and friendly staff. Try visiting them for a Sunday buffet, there's alot of options for the entire family. The only thing I didn't like, which lost a star, is the public bathrooms. It smells and some people abuse it by never flushing. Apparently the women's bathroom is very clean but obviously I cannot enter there.

Spacious, warmly welcoming but room amenities need an upgrade. I would probably have been more positive if I were a golfer.

Villas have an absolutely stunning view of the golf course. Each room has its own bath room. Food is good.

I visited the hotel on Sunday for the buffet lunch. It was absolutely amazing. The setting overlooking the golf course is perfect and the food was fantastic. I then played golf on Monday. The course is looking good and we had a great time. The Fairway Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is definitely worth a visit

This place is fantastic. Had a really great time for Christmas outing. The food is of excellent quality with great variety. Very peaceful, ethereal atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place.
