Bourne Woods

Hiking area β€’ National forest

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Love this walk, so much to do here. Just literally found this on the map because there was a hiking symbol. Ended up going on a 5 mile hike, up and down, passed what looked like a maze made out of hedges, didn’t investigate as I thought I could next time I come. Then ended up in a steam museum all... People often mention walk,

Love this walk, so much to do here. Just literally found this on the map because there was a hiking symbol. Ended up going on a 5 mile hike, up and down, passed what looked like a maze made out of hedges, didn’t investigate as I thought I could next time I come. Then ended up in a steam museum all because I wanted a drink and a bit of cake, (ended up having a sausage roll) You can tell why it’s a popular spot for filming, such an interesting place. I’m sure I recognised one part for having been filmed in a couple of big features. I wanna say Gladiator and one of the Thor movies and so many more.

Lovely place for a relaxing hike with plenty of trails and some elevation changes. Just be careful of the Germanic tribes ambushing you out in the bushes ... Bring a gladius!

Stunning woods where they filmed scenes from Gladiator and many other films. Can do a fairly short 45 min walk round the perimeter and very dog friendly.

Beautiful walk. Lovely different trails that you can follow, nice and quiet, and a great place to take your doggo! We managed to get into the car park here, which turns out to be free so that's even better. Shall visit again:)

Had a lovely picnic in Bourne Woods, nice and peaceful for a hot Bank Holiday Monday. Wide walking paths and breathtaking film location scenery πŸ“½πŸŽ₯ well worth a trip, but quite a lot of hills!!
