😠 To sum it up they are incredibly unhelpful. I am a Cypriot national myself and I needed a service from the embassy so that I can receive a very important document from them. I have sent all the documents required on my part on the 7th of April 2022. It is now the 22nd of May 2022 and I still haven't... To sum it up they are incredibly unhelpful. I am a Cypriot national myself and I needed a service from the embassy so that I can receive a very important document from them. I have sent all the documents required on my part on the 7th of April 2022. It is now the 22nd of May 2022 and I still haven't received anything. To top it all of they are unresponsive on any social media or email as I tried contacting them to find out about they delay, my messaged are simply read and not followed up. I even tried calling them on several occasions but they never answer the phone. I have paid 9 pounds for the specific service and got nothing in return which basically resembles a scam. I will be escalating my issue to the ministry of foreign affairs in Cyprus because it is simply ridiculous at this point how unprofessional they have been with me.

This has got to be THE WORST embassy ever. I needed to acquire a very important document from them and I sent through all my details and documents. The website said it would take them 10 days to send this to me. It is now a full month later and I haven't received anything. Calling them on the phone is a full time job, since they only answer after the 10th time you call them (if you're lucky), and they will NEVER respond to your emails. They emailed me once to request one more document from me and then went dead silent again even when I responded immediately, they still ignored me. I have been calling every day for the past week as I need this document ASAP, and every single day the officer is either not in the office or simply unreachable. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS and unacceptable how useless and unhelpful this office is. And to top it all off, I even had to pay them for this document, so basically, they're scamming people. Nice work guys, cheers.

Went to renew my passport yesterday. It was super easy and painless. If you've got questions before you go, best thing to do is to contact them on Facebook Messenger. I did so I knew exactly what I needed to bring. At the commission I was in and out within 30 minutes. Because my passport hasn't actually expired, I was able to keep it for now and will need to bring it in with me when I go to collect my new one. They said 3-5 months turnaround time. Update 31/05/22 - just got the text to say my passport is ready to collect, just over 3 months since I applied. Update 13/06 - Collected passport. Took about 5 minutes, even though the waiting room was very busy.

Sometimes bad reviews are because of the reviewer (i.e never read the small print, or simply angry because of not getting his/her job done). However, that many bad reviews cannot be wrong. I am afraid the mentality and the system is still hardcore Cypriot. I had to travel to London to renew my passport (getting a day off and travel expenses) just to find out that it needs 3-4 months and no acceleration option can be offered. You could have mentioned this in the email, over the phone, on the website. Like many others before me, it was suggested to "better travel to Cyprus and renew it there" most likely to lift some of the huge workloads. Can you please update your website and inform people. Unfortunately, we cannot go "shopping" somewhere else.

My first visit to our Embassy. Left feeling very disappointed. There were 5 of us and we had to have some forms signed and stamped. There were some issues with names on the forms. There was no help or support. We were told to wait in the waiting room. If we did not keep asking what was happening, we would have still been there. Very sad that I have to leave such a negative review.

Trying to get an appointment via the online booking service. It’s not working. Have emailed, sent a Twitter message as stated and nothing heard. One week later still trying to book an appointment for Power of Attorney docs to be stamped and signed. This is urgent. Someone at the embassy, please look into you online booking system for POW documents as no dates are showing up at all…HELP!!

Don't waste your time to contact them! They'll never get back to you on your emails and calls. I took a day off to go there to get my answers in person. They told me it's better and faster to travel to Cyprus to change my passport😂 Why do we need an embassy here?!

Iv been trying for months now to get an appointment booked and I'm no where closer now than I was a couple months ago. The booking system is just shockingly terrible! Im either being told that there is an error with the website and to come back another time, so I can't even access the website then, or it says appointments are fully booked which I don't get how is possible if you can't even get a booking in the first place? Iv emailed multiple different people about this and have kindly ask for help or assistance on what to do because I genuinely feel stuck. The responses I have gotten weren't rude but weren't helpful either.

An exceptionally badly run operation. I echo the sentiments of all the bad reviews here. Their website is meant to be new but it is worse than any website from the early 90’s. The very least the website should function as is to display full and correct information, which would save a lot of people their time and energy. Calling and constantly waiting for someone to pick up and apparently precious appointments that end up being fruitless are extremely frustrating and totally avoidable. Also why in central London is the toilet essentially an outhouse? To top it off - forget the total lack of efficiency for a moment, the human service is very, very bad. I am Cypriot myself and sadly the generalisation that Cypriots are arrogant and have very little regard for others couldn’t be more true than at the Cyprus High Commission in London.

I visited the ROC Consulate General in London today. The staff was unfriendly, both the receptionist who hardly made any effort to welcome me and the officer who certified my signature answering in a sharp tone (military yes and no responses). I would recommend that they should properly be trained in customer relationships, as visitors are paying for the services they receive.

Where is everybody? You don’t pick up your phone and you don’t have a message answering service to let’s us know where you are. Are you playing backgammon, or stuffing vine leaves?

Originally my wife was going to apply for her citizenship in Cyprus but under the current circumstances it was impossible. My wife applied for her citizenship using form M123 and as long as the correct information (this information on what is needed is found on the Cyprus Government sites) it is very straight forward and her registration only took a few months with the High Commission informing her the other day via text that its ready and to book an apt for her ID card (mandatory under Cyprus law) and or passport. Very good service especially considering the circumstances for which we must all be thankful as staff are still going to work at the High Commission during the lockdown

I needed to visit the embassy to have some documents certified. I arranged an appointment online which I got within 2 weeks. Once there we did not wait too long to be seen and the consular noted that the wording on the documents were not correct and needed to be changed. The consular went over and above his duty and offered to contact my solicitor in Cyprus to have the wording changed to suit which he did. We had to wait a few hours but the alternative was for us to go away, have the document changed and make a appointment to go back another day which would have taken weeks not to mention the time wasted. My experience at the embassy was a positive and I would like to commend the consular for going the extra mile to help us.

The Cypriot diplomatic staff were friendly , knowledgeable , respectful , responsive , efficient , attentive , professional , understanding , well mannered, well prepared and well aware with the enquiries that I had on the call because they knew answers to questions that I asked to them. I am still waiting email from the embassy because so I can get a better answer regarding about my cousin’s mum requirements to claim Cypriot citizenship but I am sure the answer will be the same but I want to be sure that the information is correct. I was happy that they answered my call very quick because I know that they are busy often and can’t answer all of them at once but they are trying their best same with the email as well. They make Cypriot people look good by doing their job right regardless how long they work and making Cyprus look good. The person that I spoke to gave me relevant information regarding my situation and I am happy to hear they are doing well. The high commission and consulate is clean, tidy, spacious, modern, bright and sleek.

Ok so I emailed this place that they call Cyprus embassy 10 DAYS AGO! Automatic reply and no response whatsoever ever! Don’t blame covid as any business in Cyprus do the same thing and has been well know for years how slow they are in replying back! Or are you all just lazy?? Are you all still asleep??? One thing with UK they don’t mess about and resolve things very quickly!! How you all have a job I really don’t know! Wake up Cyprus we are in 2022 not 1942!!!! Ok if I had an emergency the response time when you wake up is not acceptable! Disgusting and terrible service! Who is your manager as I want to log a complaint with your terrible service! I’m sure you will ignore this or take a few years to actually respond!! It’s been a month now and they still have not replied!

Booking an appointment is NOT user friendly. It is near impossible to make appointments and there are often errors. I have been trying to book an appointment since late September and I haven't been able to, despite it saying "appointments are available for October and November" This seriously needs to be looked into.

We visited the consulate today to get the nationality certificate and apply for a passport and ID card for my daughter. They were very helpful especially Eleni who dealt with the application. This is the third time we visited the consulate for my daughters nationality and passport. The first time we didn't have the documents apostille by the UK foreign office and the second time for making the application for nationality. They always have been very helpful. It is a shame that some of the process cannot be done online. Also the online appointment process needs improvement as it is not straight forward. You should be able to make appointments in the future without waiting for appointment dates to be released every month.

Amazing and very kind staff.I arrived wish out appointment since I had to file documents to the court urgently and the court has given me very narrow timeframe to file the affidavit. The earliest appointment to the embassy was in 3 weeks. I explained everything to the receptionist and he kindly asked the consular to help me! A very kind lady Eleni Dionysiou , a consular with pleasant smile helped me out and certified my documents. What an attitude ! What a respect and care about people! Understanding everyone position! It must be an example to all Britons! Amazing people and amazing country ! Always love coming back there ! .

I visited today for my citizenship papers and to apply for an ID card. All the staff were very helpful from start to finish and made the process very easy. Elena was especially helpful and it is clear the consul general leads a good team.

Went in today to get some documents stamped. It couldn't have been more easy. Our appointment was at 1230.we were out in 20mins . Staff were efficient and friendly. I've would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the website. It took us 3 day's to navigate the website and book an appointment. Come on it make it more user friendly

We booked an appointment to have some legal documents certified. Our appointment was at 9.30am and we were done at around 10am. It was an efficient and friendly service with no queues. Eleni Dionysiou was very helpful and friendly during the process. Thank you! The only slight issue was navigating the booking on the consular website which could have been clearer.

I had to apply for a certificate. The website was clear with appropriate advice. They responded to emails promptly in less than 24 h. A staff member named Eleni was very helpful. I had my certificate in 4 days. Made me feel proud to be Cypriot. Ευχαριστώ!

The high commission of the Republic of Cyprus in London meets exceptionally high service standards! Standards one would expect from industry leading organisations in service provisions. I emailed all my relevant the documentation for the permanent residency certificate in the morning, and by early afternoon I had the certificate issued and sent to my email address. In addition, the agent provided an exceptionally high customer service for which I am grateful for!

The consular officers were helpful and efficient in processing my passport application, and they provided accurate information on processing times (up to six months if you want to know how long it takes - best go to Cyprus and get it done there if you can). I would just add when I went to collect my passport, the gentleman at reception was rude and came across as aggressive - he clearly dislikes people so perhaps he would be better suited to going to live off benefits and watching daytime tele.Thank you though to the rest of the consular staff who are an asset to the High Commission.

Went to renew my passport today. Person doing it was helpful and efficient. No problems. Just ensure you make an appointment and have your old passport and your current ID card.

We had an appointment to renew our family passports earlier today. I booked the wrong type of appointment and under the current circumstances it was impossible for us to get the job done but the staff were extremely helpful and made everything go smoothly. Special thanks to the Consular General Theodoros Gotsis.
