Coming from a nice theatre show, we were looking for a nice dinner. Unfortunately the waitress just threw the menu on our table and passed by without a word or a look at her guests. While you might consider this common in Czech Republic, we didn't accept such an approach at a place of this price range and location. Consider educating your employees, please. We would love to come back and enjoy a pleasant evening.

Really solid restaurant with a nice view in the very centre. You can't go wrong with visiting this place. One of nice perks I found recently is you can pay 70% of the price and get a half portion of food for when you are not that hungry. Pricing is good and so is the staff.

I recently dined at this restaurant and, while the staff was incredibly friendly and the portion size was generous, I must admit that I was a bit disappointed with the svíčková I ordered. Unfortunately, the meat on my plate was overcooked and didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of quality. It's not my first time trying this dish in various places in the Czech Republic, and I have had better experiences elsewhere. Despite this, I appreciate the warm and welcoming service at the restaurant. While I may not order the svíčková here again. Overall, I'd rate my experience based on this specific dish.

Really nice place, good music playing and the people who works there speak English. Good variety of food and beverages. However, some options might be quite expensive. Even so, there are some affordable things, too. But don't go there expecting a cheap restaurant.

Amazing restaurant! We found this on google cause it was close to the main square. Lovely staff, amazing food, and very good price. Super worth it!

Cool atmosphere, which invited to spend a couple of hours at Jakobys. Waiter were extremely fast and the glasses were never empty. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the traditional Czech dish. It was very creative though with ingredients you wouldn’t usually combine (like meat and whipped cream), but it wasn’t enough on the plate and was still quite hungry.

Great food, nice beer and good service. What else are you looking for at a restaurant? Everything is nice. We had the oxtail soup, flank steak and confit duckleg. Nothing to complain. The only drawback is that it's not easy to park here. Don't trust Google Map!!!

We visited Jakoby twice, once for dinner and once for lunch, a group of seven. Can't fault the food, everything was fresh and flavoursome. Service is abysmal, never met such rude waiting staff. The experience of being told by the waitress (dinner) that we made her life difficult by ordering starters and mains not in the correct order left us speechless. Thinking that maybe she had a bad day we came back for lunch the next day. The waiter didn't like that we joined the tables to accommodate all of us and demanded that we put it back as we were leaving shouting the odds as we were walking away. We won't be coming back.

I had high hopes when I walked by and decided to stop here for lunch. When I saw the prices, I really expected higher quality of food compared to cheaper restaurants in the area. However, the food was mediocre at best. The soup was good, but the main course (ordered svíčková) was not worth the money. The dumplings definitely weren't fresh, they seemed just heated and dry. Taste was just about average, nothing special. At least the portion size was ok. The waiting staff seemed a bit uninterested, not much of a welcome, no smiles. To sum it up, this place is mostly built on looks but not a real value for your money. I believe you can get better experience elsewhere.

Delicious food! Some fair options for vegan people. The beer was good. Fair price. Clean restrooms and good acessibility for disabled persons.

This is always a great place to visit. Steak done just the right way. Nice choice of beer. Veal schnitzel with butter perfect. Pricing is a bit higher but that is the price for freshness and quality.

Card available in English, and the variety of dishes to choose from is amazing with some traditional Czech ones in the mix. Staff really helpful and nice. Food good with prices average but same as most restaurants in Brno centrum.

Good restaurant with great beers. The goat cheese was superb ( I would have added another slice). The czech plate was good but a bit sweet. I would have added another slice of meat. Overall, great service, good beers and good food ( quantity to revise)

Great place, super friendly atmosfere, superb CZ beers, Duck Breast really tasty cooked in asian style ! Steak tartare very good . Prices rasonable, and fish in thevday menu, so...no reason to visit this place at list once...but I suggest more.

Very good place with good food and friendly staff. I ordered beef tartare and they brought me tiny piece of it to taste beforehand and asked if it was good or not. Was really pleasantly surprised. Recommended

Very good place to eat traditional Czech cousine. Tartare was a joke for a starter (it was soooo small) but the rest was ok. Beer very good!

Nice place in Brno to eat. Big restaurant, kind staff. Not so many options for vegetarians unless you want to eat pasta, but the food we ordered was good, specially the dessert - strudel!

Food ok, but duck breast with noodles should be done differently. Service is the weak point for these prices.

Jakoby restaurant is nice restaurant in stylish interior, located in historical part of Brno city core. The staff is nice and friendly. Overall the service was quick and fine, was here for late lunch. The food was very good, I had a beef broth, cheese spetzle with vegetable salad and herbal tea. Prices are slightly higher. Recommended 👍🏻
