Original restaurant taken care of by french nuns, delicious french food and kind service. The scenery is great, just under the great Cathedral. I recommend. PS: I'm french and they serve real french cuisine. Romantic as well. Will come again.

Loved this quiet and lovely little French restaurant alongside St Peter and Paul Cathedral. Order off the small card of daily specials for best price and fastest service. All the nuns serving from different countries speak French. One of them speaks English and will translate the offerings on the menu. Thursday’s special includes dessert! Only open for lunch. I lunched there often!

I really liked the establishment, the food is really simple but very tasty, I ordered the zucchini soup and it was delicious, my mother also liked her food, and the prices here are very affordable. We absolutely loved the staff and the atmosphere. The girls were very kind. And the atmosphere of the institution on the terrace is somewhat similar to Italy.

We had the best dining experience at L'eau Vive. Excellent food made with love, nice calm atmosphere, and if you are in the garden, beautiful view of the church. We loved it and will definitely come back.

Nice French/ Czech restaurant just below the St Peter's Cathedral. I had the pork, kraft, and dumplings. My wife had the fish. Lunch service is slower if you don't order the daily special, which is only in Czech. The main menu is in French, Czech, and English.

Very basic food, unfortunately. Maybe the dishes listed under French food are better than the Czech dishes but the presentation was very basic, with a sad little salad and not very fresh ingredients as is the custom in France. However, the atmosphere under the cathedral is special and the servers were very kind. A bit strange, but at one moment, they led all the guests in singing Ave Maria 🎶

Very special place. It is run by a Christian charity so it has a very particular atmosphere. If you want to slow down, and don't mind that nuns aren't professional waiters, give it a try.

The location of the restaurant is amazing. Sitting in the garden and having the views of the cathedral and all the flowering plants is lovely. The food was generous in portion and price was great. I can easily recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in Brno.

Soup 1\5 Main course 2\5 Dessert 3.5\5 View 4\5 I have no idea what the "stuffed duck" had in common with the food i got, and I'm quite sure the "French" cuisine doesn't consist of the Czech infamous standard brown sauce. Also, they speak Czech, but don't fall for the trap and use English, or you will get something else, pay something else, or who knows what could happen.

Unique mood, kind staff singing with beautiful voice.

I had dinner there a few weeks ago and got a rabbit based dish. The food was tasty but quite simple. All in all, there wasn't anything exceptional in the sauce or in the accompagnement which was a shame. The menu is quite extensive which always makes me doubt a little the freshness of the products, but maybe I am wrong. The staff was very nice and polite, that was a big plus, but the overall religious atmosphere was rather oppressing.

Loved the experience here. The food was great and the staff was nice. Plus the location is awesome, with nice view over Petrov church.
