The service at “U Trench Čertu” is one of the worst I’ve ever encountered at a restaurant. I and my company had to wait over 1,5 hours to receive our food. Not until an hour has passed, could the staff admit that “there was a problem with your order”. Up until then, no information at all got to us, no compensation was offered and the staff started to avoid our table. Not until we became too annoying guests, were we compensated with a extra drink and given a ETA for the food. Besides this the food was quite good and reasonably priced, but I would recommend everyone to avoid this restaurant.

Average food. Beer not bad, but the service is pretty hectic (you wait for a long time for waiter to make an order, then get food before beer and then when you eventually got your beer - it’s not what you ordered)

The food here is real good. I ate fried cheese with french fries. After eating cheese it was time for desert. I choose brownie cake. Inside of cake was liquid chocholate. I recommend this place.

Well what can I say about the experience I have had. Since I visited the place back in 2016 I wanted to retake genius loci of city with its authentic dining. But steak tartar had no actual taste, meat was just fine not excuisite and waiter has delivered food and did not come back to ask for additional drinks or anything else.

Service was really gods here, waiter was really helpful and polite an food servings were huge here. Really good pub, very recommended.

Ungortunatelly, salat was swimming in water and oil which made it literally uneatable. Losos was fine.

I eat there fantastic pork ribs, soft and crunchy at the same time, melt when I put them in the mouth. Good portion (700g) enough for one person. Local beer Bratčice (i drink dark one) also very good. Service was fast and quick, waitress wasn't speaking english but she did all that we could understand her she was very kind.

The black beer is the worst I ever tried in Brno. The salad was too big for 1 person. Topinka was really good.

Giving this place 4 stars only because we had to wait a really long time to be served. To be fair, the place was packed and had only 2 staff (bartender and waiter) who were taking care of a full restaurant. The beer was great (we had 10 and 11 degrees) and the appetizers were awesome (we had the fried potato chips, fried cheese and spicy sausage with cabbage). Would definitely go back.

Really enjoyed the mix your own steak tartare, and the goulash was delicious!

I really like the service from the staff, they are accommodating. They also have menu for English and Czech language. Food presentation and taste are both excellent. They serve alcoholic drinks. Blanket is always available when it gets cold. A must try pub for foreigners too.

Came in early May, Spring. Weather was nice and chilly so I opted for a slightly outdoor dining. There was no English Menu but hey we have got Google Translate! I got a Friday Lunch daily menu. I couldn’t decipher the dish from Google Translate 😆 Nevertheless it was a good meal. This was probably a meat ball covered with vermicelli etc paired with potatoes on the side. Staffs were polite and friendly too. I spent 191 KC for a lunch set with large beer. Fairly affordable.

Food was tasty and atmosphere was nice. The burger was huge and well prepared.

The food was great. Beer too and staff was very outgoing. Try some of traditional Czech foods there. I'm sure you won't regret it! You can also sit on the street where it's bit more noisy, but you can enjoy the athmosphere of the streets and people passing by.

Great bar in a very nice part of the city of Brno. It has a very casual and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and happy to chat about all the different beers on offer. The menu changes from day to day and it is worth trying a few different beverages. You can sit outside too if you prefer
