The old Town Hall is definitely worth a visit if in Brno, actually I wouldn't miss it ! The entrance is lovely with the stone work and the story of how the builder made one Piller crooked in retaliation to not getting paid. The spayed brno dragon, which is actually a crocodile, is hanging up in the entrance. Many brochures and souvenirs on the tourist office. The highlight for us, was the tower ! Boughy tickets in the tourist office, bout 4€ entry each, the way up, stairs only, very secured and safe ! With info in Czech and English as you go up! View from top is super, it was a cloudy icy day when we visited so I imagine it would be magnificent on a clear sunny day! Views of the castle and the cathedral, definitely see further on a clear day! Definitely recommend paying the fee Euro to go to the top! The rest of town hall is just a small Court yard, no price to enter, and some nice cafes at the side of courtyard as you enter the big square! The tower was one of the highlights! This is one of the first places you need to visit when you go to Prague. Lots of historical structures in a 360 degree view.

A certain place to be visited. The view from above gives a great view of Brno. Climbing the steps is not difficult.

One of the best spots to view the entire Old Town and most of Prague from inside the Astronomical Clock Tower. You can see a little of how the clock works from the inside.

Amazing view of the Old Town but price is rather expensive. 500Kč for walking and 700Kč to use the lift.

You can visit some of the rooms for free and need to pay to go to the tower. The interior is nice, though it's probably not one of the top attractions in the city. The crocodile there is certainly an icon, and the tourist information office is great with very nice staff and helpful info.

the Old Town Hall serves mainly cultural purposes, as it houses a gallery, an information centre, and a permanent exhibition on its history. In summer, you can visit its historical halls and climb up the 63-metre tower to enjoy an impressive view of Brno from the top. The courtyard serves as a venue for various concerts, festivals, theatre performances, and film screenings. Enter its arched passage through the portal beneath the legendary Late Gothic turret by sculptor Anton Pilgram. In the passage, you can see two items from other famous Brno legends: a crocodile, also called the Brno dragon, and a wheel. The courtyard beyond, with Renaissance arcades from the end of the 16th century, was built by Italian designers, and later modifications are the result of its Early Baroque renovations. The Old Town Hall served its original purpose until 1935 when the authorities moved to Nová radnice (the New Town Hall) located at Dominikánské náměstí (Dominican Square)

Nice place for sightseeing, you'll get a brief history overview of the old town hall. Visit to the tower is not free, it is worth taking though.

The Brno Dragon and Brno Wheel are well-known symbols of the city and are linked with several legends. You can only see them with your own eyes in the building of the former Town Hall in the Moravian Capital near to Zelný trh. It will surprise you to learn that it was a crocodile which the people of Brno thought to be a fairytale dragon. The Gothic gateway, which you enter the building by, is also worthy of your attention. It is as if the famous builder Anton Pilgram was making fun of Gothic art by allowing the decorated middle turret (technically an obelisk) to create the illusion of it falling on people passing underneath. Inside the building, you can visit a gallery and historical halls as well as climb the 63m tower with Renaissance roofs.

Gorgeous views all over Brno, not too tall to climb.

I visited both this tower and the cathedral tower and I have to say, this is a much better tower, since the cathedral is the main feature of the city skyline, it is better to view it from the old town hall tower. It was a quick visit and the tower were full of people when I went, and it was difficult to move around on the tower since the space is so limited, but it was a nice experience and I have taken some nice photos of the cathedral, the castle and the old town.

Tremendous view. You can see 360 view of Prague for £3 about 150 steps to climb and some interesting historical info on the way up. We went just as it opened at 20am Sunday and it was quiet. Recommend timing your visit so you can hear the Bell eg on the hour

Near the town Square. A place to shop for nice vegetables. Particularly love the tomatoes and strawberries. As for the old town hall, it's main attraction is the so called "dragon"

Super friendly info center! Love how Brno city booklets are so well designed! Kudos for that! Would just go to check out the good graphic design!

A great view from the top - 63 meters of high. Interesting information in the tourist center - a lot of free brochures and helpful staff.
