Beautiful view and nice hiking area around. It's possible to take a bus or boat back to the Brno dam

Beautiful and old historic castle, free parking available, the entrance ticket cost is 30 Czech Republic 🇨🇿. Inside is cafe , restaurant and some small shops located. Rest rooms (toilet) available. The palace is old and not more visitors there, so, if you don’t like noise places than it’s best place for you. Enjoy at old and historical place. Recommended if you are traveling through Brno city.

Very beautiful castle surrounded by fascinating nature not far from Brno. There is an accessible road directly to the castle or you can choose to come by boat. I came here with my family during the weekend and we had such a nice time here. Definitely recommend it!

The most interesting and cool castle to visit around Brno. The ticket to visit is very cheap and you can enter basically everywhere. Do not miss the fix exposition inside the mais building, it is for free and tells the history of the family that built it. Also, you can enjoy a nice beer and wine with some good options of food, also quite cheap. Another suggestion is to go up the north walls as well as seeing it from outside. Is feels like you are in a medieval RPG or something like that.

I took a simple visit, no guided tour. The area of the castle, namely the courtyards are relatively large. It was interesting to walk around its territory, take pictures and look at the area.

Veveri Castle was really pretty! You can get great photos of the castle and from the castle if you climb to the different look outs. The courtyard is nice and shady and you can get beer, refreshments, and food for fairly inexpensive prices. The bathroom was clean. I believe Veveri Castle has festivals and special events throughout the year so be sure to research it! Watch your head as you walk through the castle and if you don't love tight spiral staircases, learn to love them! It's very fun and if you have time in Brno, I would recommend considering going!

Decent castle with an interesting history. Didn't do the guided tour but the basic entry (50 crowns) gets you into a small museum. Two cafes plus a wine cellar (including free tasting) on site. The castle alone isn't incredible, but if you make a day out of it by coming on the boat from Brno-Bystrc then it's worth it. It looked like some good walking trails ran from the castle boat stop, too.

Castle is very good and it has rich history, still some renovation works ongoing. I had to walk a lot due to some mistake In Google maps, there is a bus stop very near to castle make sure to get down there by asking instead of looking up at Google maps

I like it because you have nice restaurants and places to buy food and drinks this far from the city. Additionally, the exhibition and historic tour is interesting.

Great spot even for a family visit. 50CZK entry fee. Considering how devastated this place was it is a miracle where it is now. You can drive all along the dam and park under the castle walls or you can walk the trail on the opposite side. It takes about one hour from the Sokolské koupaliště. Worthy visiting!

This place is only open from May to October, but it is showing as open in the maps. We were able to walk around outside, but we were very disappointed when we saw the closed sign.

Very nice castle complex to visit. We did a tour, the kind guide had a lot of information, which was for 'aliens' only available on hand outsm but the buidling itself is interresting enough. The cafe 'Winston?' was also very nice, with kind waiters.

It is a very old castle and they could restore it to make it more attractive. But the place around is amazing, nature and good air. The place is much better when they are celebrating something. Last time I want there they had a Greek event, with typical food, music, dancing. Etc

The castle is ok but the whole nature outside of it is amazing. Do yourself a favour and walk also outside the castle

The castle is huge and it has beautiful views. 50czk entrance fee for the castle outdoors. There were no room tours when we visited. Cash only.

A quiet place for a Sunday walk connected with a boat trip on the Brno dam. Veveří is the ruins of a castle, which in the past was insensitively damaged by reconstructions with the help of concrete. Even so, the castle offers an extraordinary experience, especially outdoors. I recommend beautiful views from the towers and castle walls. Cultural events are often held in the courtyard. Also suitable for children, the road is passable even with a pram.

Average castle which used to be famous, for a socialist conversion into a youth hostel. Unfortunately this recent history has been removed, without a full restoration to pre-communist state.

Low admission fee, great castle with a nice scenery view. Mini-exposition of various coaches. Did not get a chance to try the guided tour but next time definitely will.

Really nice place for a day trip. Tends to be a little touristy. Lovely views, chill atmosphere. Food is overpriced. But you don't come here to eat, do you? Don't miss the boat trip back to Brno for more fantastic places to see.

The last time I was there was 15 years ago. It was just walls and holes. Literally. Nowadays it's castle which is worth visiting. They are trying to restore Veveri castle to version from times of last owner before Czech state and I have to admire restoration work which was done here. So if you will be in Brno area for some sightseeing or holiday or even as temporary work assigment, don't miss this castle.

Really great walk up to this castle. Nice to go around in the towers, on the wall passages, in the yards. They have nice cafes to relax. Entry fee is not too expensive (30CZK for adult). If you want to go in the exhibitions, you will need to pay extra. Beautiful views from the top. I would recommend to arrive to this castle by boat. Amazing ride.
