When doing the walk through, the demos are usually nice; but the apartment you intend to move into, usually aren't. After signing the paperwork and doing a walk through, I was in a rush to GET BACK to work. Now after they got my money and I got a key, I asked my boyfriend to head on over with some of my stuff, he was NOT pleased. Paint chipped on window seals, dirty air vents, scratched up stove, dirty oven and sink. Pictures speak volumes

These Apartments are terrible I mean. Tteerrrriibbllee. The worst. Attendants are lazy. Policy for damages they say it is a 2 through 3 months process. Whole complex needs a wash. You can see moss and mold on every building. Eevveerryy window blinds are destroyed. Insides look like there have been consecutive floods. Parking spaces are ONLY for small vehicles. Gotta big vehicle? Good luck squeezing your body in there since we're built different.

The thing that is so upsetting about this complex is that it has so much wasted potential. The layout and sizes of the apartments actually aren’t bad but there is no money put into them. The entire complex needs serious renovation. My complaint is the condition of my apartment. It is practically falling apart. There are so many issues that I stop bothering to put in requests because my lease is about to be up. The area isn’t the best but most of the people here work and mind their business. The staff tries but there is still major work needed. I would renew and even pay more for a bigger unit but it’s not worth it. This is a place you stay temporarily when you have little to no options. Make what you will of it.

How has the health and housing department of Indiana not shut this place down yet? I mean is it not against federal housing laws for a rental property to NOT have heat available in a place? Especially in cold azz Indianapolis? I came to visit a friend here and my goodness, I grew up on a refugee camp due to war and that was a better experience than the one I had here. And this is America? Yikes. Listen all the reviews are true. And the housing authority is needed. It's in the single digits and the maintenance doesn't bother to make sure EVERY single unit has working heat, but they have time to put a freeze warning letter at every single door. Just backwards and very cruel. Shut this place down and reimburse everyone a years worth of rent.

Our AC unit has been needing to get replaced for a year and there's still nothing being done about it. There's a coolant leak and they have to recharge it every month. It's 90 degrees outside and 87 in the apartment. It's ridiculous that this happens. Maintenance doesn't ensure that things work and the office just brushes everything off saying maintenance will get to it. Repairs never get done and there is black mold from the tub faucet that has been leaking for 2 years.

This is the most incompetent and inconsiderate place to live. You put in emergency maintenance requests and nothing gets done. You put in requests multiple times for the same thing and they leave condescending notes on your door. They have roaches and know it and yet when the pest people come out, it seems like more bugs come instead of less. Do not ever live here and I cannot wait til my lease is out, I'll live in my car before I resign a new lease agreement here.

I loved there many years ago. My sister and brother in law live there now. I’ve been in the apartment many times and it is tremendously horrific. When the upstairs people take a shower the water runs down into their bathroom, fortunately I runs, not drips, into their bathtub. There is a 3/4 inch piece of plywood on the ceiling of their bathroom over the tub. I guess the ignorant maintenance crew thinks this will stop the leak. I was over there last week. They had the air conditioning running. I walked into her bedroom towards the bathroom and it was hot. I asked why it was so hot. My sister said they replaced some pipes that busted under the floor. The pipes were so hot I could literally feel the heat through my shoes. This place absolutely needs to be torn down. They don’t pay enough for good maintenance people, obviously.

We are currently living here. We moved in on May 28th 2022 and killed our first roach June 2nd. We have constant flooding in our bathroom from the ceiling and maintained half a** fixes it . Pipes backed up in my kitchen and maintenance wouldn’t use their shop vac to pick up the 2in of water that was stand still on my floor instead they told me someone would be there that night to clean it up it was (12a) when it happened , the water sat for 14 hours before someone came and cleaned the little puddle of water! The other water soaked into our cabinets and under the appliances. We can’t even use our bottom cabinets because of how bad the roaches are! We DUCT TAPE THEM SHUT and have everything in totes! Have tried to talk to office about mold growing in my bathroom and they ignore me. I have a 1 year old who is constantly sick because of the mold and mildew in the apartments!! TRASH EVERYWHERE AND SHOOTINGS ALL THE TIME HERE !

My girl and son live here . Their whole apartment started leaking (cabinets, ceiling vents etc) she lost SO MUCH FOOD EVEN THE MICROWAVE)July 2nd . And emergency maintenance came out looked said he’d be back after he checked upstairs. He never came back (also got info that he said he never seen a leak like bro she has bowls of water sitting around the apartment u had to have )…….. after the holiday MIKE . Remember that name . He came and solved all the problems which is why i give 4 stars instead of 1. He got it dealt with , leak gone , in 100° weather, now it’s the next day and they are here painting and fixing everything that was bad . Mike himself deserves 10 stars . He got the job done , and followed up as he said he would . She lost about 100$ in groceries plus the microwave, and the air fryer is probably gone too bc it’s gross. But mike saved the day . Whoever was emergency maintenance that night -5 stars . But I appreciate Mike for coming and dealing with literally every issue . Also it’s a lot quieter than the reputation gives. They have cameras and security nowadays . It’s a great place to stay and is highly affordable with a lot of parking . Great area to move to. They haven’t had any problems and it’s going on 2 years . But yeah MIKE THE MAINTENANCE MAN IS THE GUY

Worst place to live. After you move out they’ll charge you for previous tenant damage. And talk to you as if you are a bug under their foot. They are rude and disrespectful. How can you treat me like a bug or rodent when you’re the ones who own a roach and mouse infested complex

By far the worst place I have ever stayed! I’m currently pregnant and my water is getting cut off by maintenance every few weeks for 3 days at a time. I call countless of times and nobody comes to fix it so I’m not able to shower. They will not turn it back on until they feel like it. My apartment has roaches, I always ask them to come spray and I am currently trying to get out my lease. I’m the most cleanest person by far, but my neighbors are nasty and it seems as if the roaches just travel. I hate it here. 0/10 do not recommend!

I lived there. It was horrific. Very dirty and awful. Mold was growing on outdoors of apartments. The office staff in specifics... Were horrific to deal with. Very unsafe complex. Do not even begin to think you should live there. Find a safer place to reside. Many of the apartments had windows boarded up and it looked very unkempt. Do not patronize Stone Lake Lodge Apartments.

I lived there for 2 years I moved in December 31 when it was winter and cold and there was always a insane draft that would leave my house feeling like I was outside which i told them about and they never fixed. turns out there was a giant hole in the window which I found in about April because it began nonstop raining and it would leak down from the hole onto my bedroom floor. From the first year in April until 2 weeks be4 I moved out the window leaked. i informed them multiple times and had to call the health department several times during this time and towards the end it started to affect my breathing.when they came weeks before I moved and tore the wall out the entire bottom whas covered in mold. Not t to mention they lost my money order and I had to pay rent two times 1 month and then they tried to evict me over late fees that acquired from them losing my money order.(mind u be4 this I never been late and paid early andnd months ahead) Office staff is rude all the time and need I say that maintaiance doesn't fix anything ever. Wouldn't live there again if it was the last place in town

No laundry Matt’s work, they have mold and floor. Children are free to scream all day and night and leave trash everywhere. Here’s a picture of what it looks like on a good day.

Place is just trashy they state they have laundry mats for us to use but they’re all either blocked off, locked or just empty. Decided to walk around this morning looking for one and I found 5 building with only 2 having one washer each that’s works, in the past 3 years they’ve had 3 different buildings catch fire, homeless people live in any building that gets left unlocked, trash is always laying on the ground outside or overflowing in the laundry mats, their website states they have an inside tennis court for our use but they use it as storage, a game room upstairs of the office that is completely off limits, a pool that never has water in it or again just locked off, this place is a joke half of the abandoned burnt down building have mold growing on the walls and ceilings. When asked about the laundry mats I’m told it’s gonna be a few months till they are working again. Don’t move in find someplace that will actually care about your wellness of living. Even the washers that are powered on will just take your money and not work the one I’m using this morning as you can tell says the lid isn’t closed which it is and they have trash piling up and I believe someone is sleeping behind the driers.

We went to visit our son and his girlfriend, my husband and I were in a state of shock, The apartment complex is in deployable condition needs to be demolished, torn down. Inside there apartment you can smell the dampness, Nothing gets fixed. They need to be reported to the Attorney General Office, the Better Business Bureau and the Health Department. The danger of mold the ducks and geese feces is horrible. And did you know that paying your rent with a money order, or cashier's check the apartment management does not give you a receipt. Stone lake apartments is a whole in the wall, that is run by Slum Lords

Yalll Don’t move here, they can’t never keep hot water && my window got broken by a neighbor it took the two whole months to fix . I was in my apartment with no heat during the -0 weather , they didn’t care that I was freezing it was t until I got a lawyer did they even fix my window . Highly DONT RECOMMEND, and they might have new owners but it the same raggedy maintenance and office worker they don’t care as long as that rent paid by the 1-5th! AbsinHIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND

Approximately more than a month ago I went to fill out an application for a department which they told me would be available in February due to lack of staff. I went up waiting for Friday to find out what had happened with my application and the manager canceled it for me. His excuse was that he denied it to me for personal reasons, which I think is unprofessional, Mr. Carlos. And iknow thai si against the law... 

This place has had multiple apartment fires due to there electrical issues, there is mold,trash EVERYWHERE outside. Their maintenance does not respond to requests the list goes on not to mention the green foaming lake DONT MOVE HERE

We have had great experiences with Dawn. The staff is always professinal and friendly whrmen my wife or I call. Maintenance has always come out same day to resolve any urgent issues. Neighborhood is quiet except for young kids playing.

I was considering applying for a residency here, but once I saw the property and all the potholes in the parking lot, I turned right around and left. This is pretty indicative to how management treats the place. No, thank you.

Stone Lake Apartments are really rebuilding and making this a better complex . Jamie & Richard have really helpped me out alot, they really care about their residents . I appreciate you guys !
