Absolutely amazing! Get so close to the animals, they are well looked after and are just gorgeous to look at. Enclosures include treetop walks that you can walk with the animals with or ones that the animals can walk over above your head. Little Lake with bridge is stunning and enclosures where you can walk with some little animals and birds. Cafe doesn't serve much at all which is the only downfall but the actual zoo is brilliant.

We went as a family and had a wonderful 5 hours here. We saw all the animals and loved every bit of it. We saw the feeding of the Leopards and Crocodiles which was really interesting. It was great to see the crocodiles as I've never seen a real one and here there were loads. You should put more online about that because there are lots of places that have the other animals but not crocodiles. Loved all the birds we saw I'd not seen many of them. Loved the Tree shrews, and different squirrels they have here especially the Red Panda, loved seeing him move around and such a great closure for him very open and free like. Lovely areas and bridges to walk across very peaceful. They have plenty of picnic tables to eat at or a field to sit down. Also a cafe to eat in. Ice creams are sold here, quite expensive though. Gift shop which is quite reasonable priced. Toilets are nice and clean just need a few more I think. They have 3 areas for the children to play. 2 are like parks and other is a big thick rope to play on or walk. This is brilliant my children loved playing on all areas. I would definitely come again!!

Great day out, hidden gem! Very reasonable entry price, lots of animals to see and very pretty grounds. This was particularly nice as they have set up various additional walkways to see more views of each enclosure and get much closer to some of the animals. The park was clean and well maintained with good facilities including ample parking, toilets and cafe, only criticism is that the food selection and quality could definitely be improved. Overall strong recommendation!

Had a great time here, took my 8yr old daughter for a day out - car parking is free. It rained whilst we were here but we took shelter in the swamp area and spent the time looking at the different crocodiles and alligators. There's lots to see and do and it's not just the usual animals either, we had lunch in the cafe - prices were reasonable. The cafe was clean and plenty of space between the tables for social distancing - there's also tables outside if you fancy going Al fresco. We'll worth a visit and we had a great time trying to spot all the different animals

Overall a lovely little wildlife park. Not so big as the others, but you can relax and spend a good 4 - 5 hours. Animals were close to view and the feeding experience for some of them was great. I would take a picnic though as the food outlet had not much choice to offer. Red pandas definitely a family favourite. Super cute.

Wasn't expecting much. But what a pleasant surprise. Animals were well kept and content. Great signage so you get to see everything. Lovely cafe. Not one of the biggest I've been to but definitely one of the best

Lovely grounds and gardens, animals all seem happy and well cared for. Watched tigers and monkeys get fed, keeper was very knowledgeable. Had lunch in cafe, prices were quite reasonable, and food good. Will return again.

Had a brilliant day here with my 18 month old grandson. We where able to get up quite close to the animals with plenty of walk through bits for him to do. It's a lovely environment and not to big didn't feel we had to rush round to fit it all in. Plenty to keep him entertained. We'll worth the money we paid for entry.

Thrigby Hall is an amazing place for a family day out. The enclosures for the leopards, tigers & monkeys are cleverly designed where you can get very close without disturbing them. Ample picnic space of which there are covered areas as well for when the weather is not so great. Today being an example due to it being rather cold. The tree top walk provides awesome views over Thrigby Hall, the local church and bird lakes. All in all a lovely day out.

This is a brilliant place to take the family kids will love it here, I have a disabled daughter in a power chair and there is brilliant access for her to get around especially the wooden walk ways around the monkey's 🌳 house and tigers den 🐅. Feeding time for the tigers was amazing and so good to see 👀 them up close. Tree House walks if your not scared of heights. Great value for money 💰 especially when other places charge double.

We visited here today for the first time and as a lover of all animals this place didn't disappoint! It was easy to book online and the lady scanned the barcode at the entrance- super quick and hassle free. They have a big grass car parking area with lots of spaces not far from the entrance. The animals all looked really well looked after, happy and content. The enclosures all were clean and plenty of enrichment to see. You can really get up close to the animals here- amazing to experience been so close to a tiger. Really unique having different walk ways and tree top walks- something I've never seen at other places and it made it quite fun. Great for photography too. We enjoyed a look in the gift shop (rather reasonably priced) and we also both commented on how clean the ladies toilets were with plenty of loos to choose from! We didn't visit the cafe so can't comment but they did have one if you fancied buying some lunch. There was also loads of picnic benches all around the park which was nice to see. We chose not to bring the mobility scooter after reading others reviews- the paths were flat in places but quite tight/narrow and quite steep/slopey in parts. There was people there using wheelchairs but I wouldn't say the whole place was 100% Disabled friendly and you could see some people struggling at times. But there was plenty of places to sit down along the way which we found very handy and helpful. Overall a fabulous day out and we would reccomend visiting :)

What a lovely day out. Lots for everyone to enjoy. The animals are beautiful. I especially enjoyed walking the walkways up in the trees. You get really up close and personal with the Monkeys and Tigers . The swamp house was also amazing it had some of the biggest Crocodiles I've ever seen and again you can get quite close . Lovely play areas for children and lots of picnic tables. The cafe was very good. We had 2 pasties. 1 scone with jam and cream. 1 tea and 1 coffee, all for £10. We spent about 3 hours here. All very Covid secure. We would definitely return.

Had a great day at the Thrigby wildlife gardens. I have never seen animals as close as this in any other zoo. They don't have a huge collection of animals but the entire area is well maintained and you can easily spend 2-3 hours here. I would recommend booking tickets online just to avoid any queue on site. There is plenty of space for parking. The cafe in Thrigby hall serves decent food and is conveniently located.

Really enjoyed our visit to Thrigby Hall, lovely setting and layout. The monkeys were fun to watch and the walk ways gave you some good views of the animals in their enclosures. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a packed lunch or buy food from the Cockatoo Cafe which also has plenty of seating. Saw some lovely animals and some that I’d never heard of or seen before. Would recommend to all.

Absolutely love coming here! My favourite wildlife place! Nicely spread out but not too big. Can have a slow wander and see most things in about 2.5hrs so a nice afternoon or morning. If you have kids, there are playgrounds so more time can be spent here. The enclosures are lovely, the animals seem happy with how they are. Best day out!

Talk about a special place!! Everyone enjoyed our time there. The staff were extremely knowledgeable. I really loved the red panda... look up for it, in the branches! Lots of space to enjoy a picnic, or they have a little Cafe.

Fantastic! Well set out zoo with great viewing areas, and the platforms with walkways are brilliant. We have never been able to get this close to tiger's. Toilets were lovely and clean, food and drinks good prices. A fantastic day out that our toddler loved as much as we did ❤️

An amazing little zoo, it may be smaller than some of the popular zoos but it is a hundred times better. These animals are clearly looked after very well and have nice big play areas. The zookeepers feed the animals and do talks everyday, this was one of the best bits about the day, it gives you an up close experience with these amazing animals and seeing the ways they eat

Spent a good half a day here. Kids enjoyed it, lots of animals to see and great little houses. Such as the swamp house and forest house. Great park for the kids to play and fab little gift shop. Only thing is the enclosures did seem a little small and a bit out dated. Some of the tree top walk ways ( tiger enclosure ) didn't feel that sturdy and you have to walk in a single file. I think this should be limited as to how many people are on it at a time. Overall though, very good place to visit.

Visited with my family today...really enjoyed the experience...visited the cafe which was good value and the food was really nice. I am currently using a electric scooter and the only things I was unable to do were the tree too walk by the tigers (but you are able to view them a different way) and the tree top walk over the play area. Some parts were a bit tight but I was able to see all the animals

A great zoo for old and young alike, plenty to see and do. It was a very hot day when we visited so quite a few animals were taking to the shade, but fun was had all the same. Nicely sized and many green areas to have a picnic, easy to navigate and well worth the entry fee

This is our second trip to thrigby, last time we went it was freezing cold but we still thought it was amazing. Back on holiday again and we had better weather and the wildlife park was amazing. Honestly adults and kids can have fun and they have some beautiful animals there, even the snakes! The whole family loved it and for £60 for a family of four to get in, it was absolutely worth while. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed :) oh and better still my husband found a new bird!

The zoo is very reasonably priced for entry. It took us 2 hours to walk round. My biggest concern was the leopards where pacing up and down clearly stressed (google it before you say they where not!) And the lion had no privacy while sleeping. The best about the day for me was the amazon bit. I hate crocodiles but they had lots of space indoors ans outdoors and seemed to be well socialised

Such a lovely small zoo. Many of the animals here are active and easy to see. Great place for young kids or a quick visit. The tigers area is interesting with the overhead tunnels they have for their enclosure. And the monkeys are interactive and good fun to watch.

This is a great animal park with lots of animals and lots to see. The animals all look well cared for, and the enclosures are looked after. The park has walkways that make it easier to see their inhabitants, and there are lots of hidden wee treasure troves like the swamp trail or the forest trail. Don't miss the blossom garden. And the animals are exciting too, with tigers and leopards and red pandas and crocodiles and otters and monkeys, and lots lots more. Kids had places to go and play, and the cafe had a reasonably priced menu. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Small zoo/wildlife park but don't let that put you off. We had good fun here and the kids enjoyed it too. Walks around the enclosures from the ground or in the trees make it even better!! Way better view points to spot the tigers etc. The feeds/talks are very good and they happily talk after to ask any questions. All extremely knowledgeable and friendly. A Few parks and a maze add that bit extra for the for young ones to enjoy Plenty of parking but my guess is when it rains it can get muddy so bare that in mind! If your on a trip this way definitely pay a visit to here.

We really enjoyed our visit, a lot of animals were sleep but it was chilly on our visit so i understand they wanted to stay warm in bed! There could be more equipment in the children’s play area and for small children too would be good. Appreciated that both the men’s and women’s loos had a baby change table! I can only criticise that the bridges in the oriental pond, had missing plaques ( each bridge had a plaque explaining Chinese years and their animal) …allow 3 hrs for here

Thigby Hall Wildlife Gardens is a lovely place to see lots of unique animals. They had a new exhibition, plus they are creating a new walkway around the tigers enclosure. Remember to check out the feeding board near the entrance. Your children will love seeing unusual animals with different personalities.

Had a nice couple of hours here. Found the staff to be friendly and I enjoyed the way the exhibits are laid out with lots of walkways to see the animals from every angle. Red pandas are my favourite so it's a shame that there isn't a similar layout so you can see them better when they're sleeping right at the top of the trees. Gift shop and food was reasonably priced. Would be a good few hours out for families.

A must when visiting this area, it's not your normal zoo, but it's an experience we will not forget. You get to see some amazing animals, close up, and in a way we haven't experienced in other zoos. The monkey chorus at 10 am was amazing to hear and be part of and the chance to see amur leopards, clouded leopards, and of course, snow leopards were the highlight of the day.

Beautiful little zoo, the animals were not in just small cages. They were in multiple interlinked areas where they could move around to suit them, a lot of conservation of rare animals. The areas were built with wooden structures to make it feel environmentally friendly and inkeeping with the feel of being in the wild. A lot of German zoos are built the same, around the animals' environment and not fitting the animals into ours. If we lived locally, we would definitely have a yearly pass. The pond area was great with the zodiac bridge. And the high bridge was great for looking over the park. When you visit the aviaries, don't forget to call Mango and Monty by their names as they love a good head scratch.

Omg amazing place to visit. Recommend for all to go and see. Animals looked super happy and very well looked after. Park clean and tidy. The best parts are definitely the walk ways and enclosures. Feel so close to the animals. Cafe and gift shop well priced and full of stock. Staff super friendly. Would 100 percent be going again. From booking to leaving excellent experience. Sad to have to leave at the end of the day. Good work to all involved in the venue.

This is my second time visiting this zoo, and i still love it. Despite it being a 'small' zoo. It has better variety than the bigger ones and you can get SO much closer to the animals. All habitats are very clean, lots of enrichment for animals! Lots of educational boards around. All staff encountered were polite. I'm a part time wheelchair user, and the entire park is accessible, which is amazing. 🐅🦦

Toilets were mostly clean cant blame staff just some people don't care enough . All I all we had a great time HIGHLY RECOMMENDED just like the animal parks of old .

Discovered almost accidentally while in Norfolk on a few days break. What a gem. So surprised to see tigers and leopards, including cubs. Nice collection of other animals including alligators, gibbons and a variety of birds. Some of the tree top walk wasn't accessible, as weren't one or two other walkways, but otherwise a really enjoyable visit. Picnic area and cafe. Glad we went.

We have been to Thrigby Hall 3 years in a row now and it never gets boring. It's a cosy wildlife park but this only adds to it's appeal as still hosts a wonderful collection of birds and animals, some you can get quite close to. The children love that many of the enclosures have walkways to see the animals from different height levels and from different vantage points. Our favourites are the Red Pandas! The grounds are well kept and great for pinicing, though the cafe does very nice, reasonably priced food. The shop has a great collection of gifts too. Covid measures seemed to be taken seriously on our last visit and didn't negatively impact our visit at all, in fact it was nice and quiet due to reduced numbers. We'll be back next year!

A lovely little wildlife park. Good views of the animals and well laid out with plenty of hand sanitizer. Some interesting animals that I've not seen anywhere else, good information about animals and status in wild. Basic but good food. • 4/5 Kevriano 3 years ago on Google
Small, but a really nice selection of animals, some of which I hadn't seen before. I wasn't impressed with the cages, they are really in need of updating, as they are an old design, but money and funding are always an issue in these smaller places and they can be forgiven for not being able to keep up. That said, all of the animals seem happy and are well looked after. The Swamp House was something cool and different too. For me it was worth the 375 mile round trip to see Snow Leopard cubs alone, but the rest was well worth it too. An afternoon would be plenty though. Overall, a decent, small zoo.

Visiting Thrigby for the first time was more than what we expected. All animals were very active. We made friends with a Parrot, the tiger's were soooo close up, and the gift shop/cafe were not overpriced. We especially like the ghostly Thrigby story & the adoption plaques.

We came here about 9 years ago with our 1st daughter. We always said we'd come back. Last Thursday we came with our 4 daughters! They all loved it. It was such a lovely day. Busy but not too busy. Kept us entertained for hours! It was all such good fun. The animals are so beautiful, meeting them was such a privilege. Also the staff were all so nice and kind. The park itself was clean and very well set out. Thank you again for our special day!

Lovely little wildlife park, the leopards and tigers are especially gorgeous and you're able to get closer to them than in other parks. The pictures don't show the large enclosures and the animals looked well cared for. We booked online and there was plenty of parking even in the school holidays. The food from the cafe was good, priced reasonably for this type of venue, and there's lots of picnic spots too. Highly recommend.

Fantastic little gem. Small compared to other zoos but the walkways around the animals makes it so much more engaging. Feeding time is amazing as you get to listen to the keepers. Cafe is extremely fairly priced.

Great little park I've never been so close to the animals in all my years of visiting zoo's. Great selection of wildlife with tree top walks to get closer, the leopard's tigers and the gibbons where brilliant, could have spent all day looking at these. Nice cafe with clean toilets £16.75 for a adult but worth it for the work and conservation that they do.

We visited on 5th November and it was a lovely experience. Either due to the weqther expected or time of the year there were not many people visiting. We managed to go around twice with our two children, normally we manage one round, and it was lovely to see the difference as some animals that were asleep on our first look were awake and able to be seen. We ate and the cafe and the price for food and drink was quite reasonable and the food was nice. One if the children got a lunch bag which had a roll, drink, crisps and a couple of other items for 5.00 which I felt was very good value. We love coming here and will be back again when we are in the area. Booking online in advance gives a slight discount to the price on the gate.

We took our grandson for an impromptu visit. It was our first time, and I was extremely surprised by the whole experience. A great price, and if I lived nearer, the annual pass would be my choice.

Amazing place, second time I have been, they really care for the animals and are a long long way from the old keep animals in captivity zoos of yesteryear, it was good to see them feed the leopards and tigers, all the animals seem happy and plenty of room. Well worth the cost.

Amazing place. Getting so close to the animals was a dream come true. The idea of a walkway is genius. Really nice park.

We all love this place so much!! Been to this zoo about 8 times now and each visit doesn’t disappoint. The animals seem so free and content. They interact so well and I even held hands with one of monkeys once. The tigers are so beautiful and we love seeing the crocodiles. Will always pay a visit when in the area.

Great place with lots to see, I'd definitely check feeding times and aim to be around the enclosures for that. All the enclosures make it so you can get up very close to the animals while remaining safe for little ones. Great day had by the kids and adults.

We always love a visit to Thrigby Hall. There are so many different animals to see here and the different walk ways and viewing platforms mean you can actually see the big cats/crocodiles/alligators, etc. If you're lucky you may spot the red panda up the tree (we did!) It's been really well thought out. The grounds themselves are well looked after and nicely planted out. Of course no trip is complete without a visit to the gift shop, prices are reasonable. The loos here are clean and tidy and plenty of them. No queue to get in when we went although we had booked online and arrived not much after 10.
