This is always the first place my children want to go! Its a fun interactive area. Its always clean so many learning experiences. From the animals they pull out to pet, the greenhouse they can water plants in, veternary play space to being a zoo director. Your child is going to love being in here. It is such a great learning experience that even the parents get involved. The only issue is...youll have a hard time getting them to leave.

First stop for my boys. They love all the hands-on activities, especially the animal hospital and green house. Always cool to see them get a close up experience with a new animal friend.

Great place for kids, really interactive, a lot what to explore. Just a little area for eating would be nice.

Some tips for goat feeding: 1. Use your membership to get entry discount. 2. Bring a paper cup if you want to hold more goat food in hand, remember no plastic cup, for animal well-being. Properly disposal the paper cup when done. 3. If you’re allergic to animal saliva, wear a pair of clean, non toxic rubber gloves. Make sure you take it away with you or properly disposal. Sanitized Bare hands are always recommended. 4. Arrive early in the day when opening otherwise the food will be out of stock. 5. Be kind to animals and enjoy.

Such a disappointment. I remember coming here as a kid and spending hours in/outside this building so I was excited to finally take my own kiddo. Maybe it was the time of day, but it has changed a ton for the worse. We went about an hour before closing and practically everything was closed, yet there were no signs by the pay booth stating that there were limited things open. Even my own mom who used to take us said it was a major disappointment.

Always a great place to spend a few hours when it's raining out. Multiple themed rooms to play in, activities throughout the building and of course opportunities to interact with animals.

This is the Hamill Family Play Zoo on the SouthEast side of the park. Most of the year this is an additional pay exhibit but at times it is free to enter. It is mostly geared to the smaller kids and there are interactive things to work with. This is both an inside and outside area and there are always a ton of strollers.

My kids had so much fun here. I was the only adult with my 3 babies so it was nice to play here in a more controlled atmosphere. The employees let us pet the animals gently and they were very kind with great attitudes and patience towards children. Very intactive and helpful.

This is our favorite place at the zoo. It's perfect for little kids. There is always a craft going on, a small animal to see and pet, flowers/plants to water, a pretend vet area and our favorite face painting! There is also an excellent contained outdoor wilderness play area. The kids use sticks and tarps to build forts. Stroller parking outside and small toilets in the bathroom for toddlers.

I went with my son and his daughter. We were a little late so we didn't spend a lot of time there. Maybe next time we'll go earlier and see more of the animals. Good times a'comin.

This is a great place to let your toddler or young children discover everything for themselves. They have staff that explain and teach you everything there is to know about the animal of the day. They also have crafts and dress-up area. There is no food or drink in there and there's a place for stroller parking. However I have a newborn and it's quite difficult to Wrangler a two year old when you have a newborn in your hands so I use the stroller but they didn't say anything to me. They're very kind.

Great place for kids to use their imagination. You can be a zoo keeper trainee and dress the part. There are lemurs in a smaller exhibit where you can even dress like a lemur. Kids can also be veternarians and take care of sick stuffed zoo animals. There is also a little playground for the kids to enjoy themselves outside. Beyond the activities, there are also zoo associates that give presentations about animals in the exhibits.

My kids always have a great time here with the special crafts, paint your own face station(s), and small animal encounters. They now have a sensory room for children with developmental disabilities. This is an additional cost experience at the Brookfield Zoo I'd you are not members, but it is worth it.

Plenty of things to do for the children I wish it was a little larger. There are things for the kids to interact with and to explore.

One of all my granddaughters favorite places ever. So many indoor and outdoor activities to do. You can be an animal vet, spray the rainforest with water, do a craft, visit the lemurs or be a zoo director. Outside has many adventures also: build a shelter, play musical instruments and climb on statuary. Unless a zoo member, extra charge to enter. Restroom available in junior and adult size.

We stop by Hamill every time we visit the zoo because my kids love to paint their faces. Their second favorite thing is the greenhouse, where they can water plants with spray bottles. The veterinarian space is a lot of fun, as are the crafts they can do in the workshop.

More sanitizer has to be in placed in the veterinarian section of the zoo play area stethoscopes are being used by all the kids and there's and everybody's putting them in their ears possibly could cause an infection

I should know better to go there at the end. The Hamill Family Play Zoo is my sons favorite spot every time we go to zoo which is often. My son and his friend played in the animal hospital where they get to pretend to be vets for 40 minutes alone, then we went to the other areas like the lemur section and stayed for another 45 min. If you go to this part of the zoo know that you will be there for a good amount of time. Even my 15 and 16 year old boys love going to the play zoo. It really is a great stop.
