Saw this place on the news as a popular fast food and Chinese food. I ordered shrimp fried rice….and wow it was delicious. CASH ONLY

Tried this place 1 st time today got beef fried rice and pork fried rice def worth every penny compared anything in west suburbs definitely could taste and visually see it was tasty 15.00 with tax for 2 small not bad price for the portion and the taste

I used to work here in high school and it still feels like home. Same smells, same people. I even bumped into an old customer and I ordered his burger for him

Hot dogs here are 👌🏽 delicious, true Chicago style with all the fixings, no ketchup. The cheese sticks?? supreme, only came in an order of 5 but those five were worth it. Fries were decent, not outstanding but a good small side with a bit of crisp. Super cheap food for the quality, would DEFINITELY come again to try the rest of the food here.

The ordering process was difficult. Their website needs to be updated as their prices are significantly higher (67%!!) than posted. They neglected to let us know that our order was ready, so we waited an additional 10 minutes for no good reason. When we got the food home, one of the containers had split at the seams and spilled all of the lobster sauce inside the bag. After all of this, the food was mediocre at best! NEVER AGAIN! Terrible experience!

Got here to grab a bite so it's a cash-only joint but they have an ATM on location that charges $3 to get some bread. I went with an Italian Beef w/ nacho cheese, dipped w/ hot peppers. Two chicken egg rolls and small beef fried rice. Started with egg rolls they were cool 7.2 decent flavor but just okay. Next, the beef fried rice again was alright tbh not great but mid not sure they using a wok back there cuz some was a little off with the rice 7.3. The star of the show was the Italian Beef which is a certified banger 🔥🔥🔥🔥 9.7. It was a juicy mess and loved it... the beef with nacho cheese plus peppers was delicious. Wish they put a little more beef on the sandwich but minus that it was on point. Overall the spot is an 8.5, I'll only come back for the Italian Beef and can get better Chinese food elsewhere in the city.

The staff is rude as hell. I ordered a crab fried, they gave me a combo fried. I came back all the way back from home, for the right order and I simply asked where did the combo fried go, the guy said “got your food now, go”.

The food is always good here. I definitely travel for the combination fried rice spicy. They never disappoint. Been going since high school I'm 32 now.

Ordered at the counter/pick up window, they took forever to get the food ready, when i got home, i was missing part of my order, which is my fault because i should've checked, i went back to get the shrimp basket they forgot to give me, and they refried it, over cooked shrimp gets gummy and thats what happened, the other food was pretty decent. I'm definitely missing you Chuck! Rest in paradise. That restaurant is going to fall apart will out you Bud.

Had beef fried rice was excellent! I was Expecting fast food fried rice ! Was very good had a Orange coolaid . Outdoors seating or your car .

Been going here since I was a little girl. Chuck was the best. Always friendly. Up beat, funny and just a genuine spirit. He will truly be missed. R.i.P Chuck

This is certainly one of the most attractive place to eat in the neighborhood. Always when I go there I am so happy.

The fried rice had to b the best I have had. I drove from Chicago to here and it was worth the drive. The egg rolls was good and the crab Rangoon this is our go to spot. Coming back from now on

Fried rice was really good and seasoned. Cash only. They are ungenerous with sauces. If you get a large I think you should get more than two-four.

I have been going to Al's since 1988. I have never been disappointed in anything that I have ordered, ever. Their fried rice is the best I have ever had and I have had a LOT of fried rice from all over the US.

The service is going down. Longer wait times. I mostly get polish specials bit the polish is not cooked all the way on the inside. Boil first then deep fry upon request.

I knew it would be good when I saw people waiting in line. I got the Italian beef (dipped) and spicy beef fried rice (xtra meat). They really packed my box, there’s so much food! The fried rice tastes like home, easily in my top favorites. Food is bursting with flavor, and for Asians making American food… They nailed it. *don’t be discouraged of the line, it wasn’t a terrible wait at all. Was recommended to call ahead next time by another customer.

Very pleasant person on the phone even on a busy Saturday. They gave me an accurate ETA for my food. Very warm atmosphere when you walk in, and it seems to be a favorite weekend lunch for the locals who know where it's at. Reminds me of a drive in from my small hometown in Utah. They nail the fries and fry sauce. I got the Western Burger. Reasonable prices and good portions.

A good selection of American and Chinese food is served at this classic quick-serve counter location. We tried the beef dish, the chow mein, and the fried rice. Delicious food filled the room. This is similar to the straightforward, well remembered, traditional American-Chinese takeout that your grandparents used to order when your parents abandoned you to them for the weekend. This small eatery has made it onto a few lists of the greatest places in Chicago, and in my opinion, it lives up to the hype. When the need to eat after happy hour strikes, there might not be a better place to go in this area.

They have some pretty good food, the wait time isn't long at all. I really like the fried rice

First time eating here and the shrimp fried rice was so delicious and the flavors was off the change didn’t need no sweet&sour sauce or soy sauce

Use to love coming here for the rice unfortunately will not be returning because this is the 2nd time I have found egg shells in my rice I tried picking them out but as I continue to eat the rice was still crunchy
