Avoid this place like the plague. Seriously, go to Burger King and have it your way. The owner is an absolute a$$, overheard him screaming from the back a lot of WILDLY inappropriate things that were too much for my friend and I to listen too, and was concerning to say the least. This man should reconsider his life choices and seek therapy, maybe sit in a dark room and reflect. I truly feel sorry for the people who have to live and work with this man. The food was terrible, burnt and cold, which is an interesting yet undesirable combination, and was a double punch to the gut when we got the check. Substituted veggies for fries, and was up charged more than if I had ordered it separately, I guess if you treat your staff and customers the way he does, he has to ensure there is still money coming in somehow. Even the tea was gross, it tasted like it had been sitting in the container for days. How hard is it to make tea? You're in the south, it's a staple, get it sorted. To top it all off, my friend's burger was still cold in the middle, like cold cold, like it had just unfroze. I'm not sure how they managed to burn the outside and under cook the middle, I mean, it is a skill, just not one you should be proud of. This caused a great deal of gastrointestinal distress later that day, and he is still recovering, which caused him to miss work today. SO, no only did we overhear some of the most vile and depraved things being screamed from the back of house (and I have worked in the restaurant business for YEARS, so I've heard it all), the food was terrible to the point it caused illness, we were charged extra with not a word from the server, we couldn't even wash the bad taste out of our mouths with the tea we were given. And I don't want to be asked if we notified our server of the issues or talked to management about our concerns. If that man spoke to me the way he was screaming at whomever he was talking to, he would have caught these hands and I'd have smiled in the mugshot. Absolutely disgraceful, he should be ashamed of himself.

Got food during the pandemic to take home, and it tasted awful. Returned it and got something else that I didnt want grilled, they still grilled the roll, and it tasted awful. Something was wrong.... either something they cooked on the grill, or they didnt clean it properly. Needless to say, I threw all my food away. They need to get cooks other than kids... Kids do not care about other people's food, not to mention their pants were at their knees and that's not professional, especially when coming out on the floor. If you want quality food, you need quality cooks, I mean that's just the way it is these days. I used to be a kid one time too, and a cook as well, so I know how my friends and I performed. We would cook, but that was it. We didnt care about taste or anything, we just cooked. So in order to have quality food, it starts at the source of the food, then it's the cook to make that food well, where it ends up on the customer's plate, and you want a happy customer. Without customers, there is no business.

Service was quick and efficient. Unfortunately, food was not very good. My husband got the crab cake dinner. It looked like a hockey puck. Very tasteless no seasoning. I had a chicken dish with peppers and cheese. Bland taste and tiny amount of chicken.

The food was not enormously objectively impressive, but really solid for the price point ($120 including tip for an appetizer and an entree AND 4+ drinks each, plus a shared dessert!). Not a great media setup; couldn't see or hear the TVs very well from the tables, and one of them was really noticeably lagging the other. Also, 9pm is weirdly early for a bar to close, but maybe that's the county or something?

Stopped in for lunch about two months ago, the sight that greeted us was a table piled up with stuff as if it was being used as a office. It wasn't crowded at all but it took awhile to get service, the waitress was nice but not very energetic. Food was slow arriving at our table and the hamburger had a funky taste and the fries were soggy very disappointing

We really enjoyed our dinner here. My husband had a burger that was cooked perfectly and I took my chance and had a Reuben. I say that because you never know what quality the meat will be. This was excellent and had the perfect combination of kraut and dressing. The server was really busy so we had a wait a bit for the check and refills. The biggest gripe that had nothing to do with the restaurant itself were the people at the table next to us. The adults sat at one end while the 8-10 year old (?) girls were on our end. Numerous times throughout the meal the little brats would get up and do gymnastic or cheerleading moves between tables, one time almost hitting our table with her hand. Some people need lessons on how to behave in public.

The food has always been good, but it’s a bit pricey. Always quick and easy to do take out and the salads are always loaded.

Our server heather was great. Very attentive and took care of us great.. 2 thumbs up for her. We had the marinated steak special which was cooked to perfection. Thank u for that. Buuuut.. we ordered the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese as a side. We were not pleased at all. The Mac was cold and flavorless and the mashed potatoes were cold and extra flavorless. No butter no salt just a cooked potatoe mashed with nothing. And served very cold. The environment overall is pleasant and nice to enjoy a drink and talk. And as we were leaving the manager waved and thanked us for coming. I thought that was just extra special. Thank you for that.

Locally owned restaurant serving American style food. Service was awesome and the food is tasty. Next time you are traveling through this small town, you've got to give this place a try

My friend and I went for lunch a few times. Awesome food, service, and atmosphere. We had a great time and can't wait to return and try their cinnamon rolls!

Got the Nubs (boneless wings) with Thai chili sauce. They were amazing- tender, lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned with tasty ranch on the side. Fries were crispy on the outside. Waitress was attentive. Check them out.

This is the kinda place you go to enjoy some good food and drinks! Yeah the attitudes were kind of simple but I’m a simple person and they were friendly enough! Small town food, with small town smiles!

We ordered the fried catfish and shrimp with hushpuppies. The food was very fresh home cooking. The fish and shrimp were hand battered on site! You don't get that anymore. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Well be back next time we're in town. Our new go-to restaurant.

Went on a Tuesday for dinner and our whole family agreed it was probably the best meal we have had at Gobbler Grill. Thanks for having a good restaurant that supports our community!

Honestly the only good thing here I’ve had is the salad but they’re overpriced. The burger I got was terrible and dry and over cooked. I asked for mushrooms and it came with mushrooms that were clearly out of a can.. every time I’ve ordered from here I get reminded why I shouldn’t have.

I tried a few times, but in the end, it's just not for me. The happy hour is limited to only lite beer, there is a table that's used as a desk in the front inside the restaurant with a large man sitting there on his phone all the time, and the lighting, once you notice it, is terrible. Daylight bulbs, not warm lighting at all. While the chicken is good, $8 a beer here is insane, maybe that's why the bar is always pretty empty. If they had an actual happy hour, I think I'd come here semi often really, but as it is, I'd just much rather eat and drink at home.

Our family eats here regularly and we enjoy the food and service. It’s nice to go somewhere where staff greet you as you enter the door. The chicken tender salad is yummy, I get with the side of ranch and Thai chili sauce which our whole family loves! We use it on everything! Bacon Ranch Quesadilla is pretty fantastic too and those bang bang shrimp…yummy!! We’ve always found the staff and owner attentive and quick to address any mishaps. Our favorite home town grill!

Small Town diner, tastefully decorated with scenes from around our beautiful town. We arrived around 8:00pm on a Fri evening and the place was very full, but still had room for us! Food was very good, and cooking time was minimal!

Burger was excellent, but unfortunately the fries were cold and appeared to have been prepared well before our arrival. Other than the fries, we enjoyed our visit and hope to see if this was just a bad day at the business

Ordered thee special- sliced pork sandwich with beans and a Busch beer. Got a Busch light beer , beans were good , sandwich was ground meat that seemed grissely with awful bbq sauce. Also ordered taco salad and diet Pepsi. Salad was good, but small.

A really cool place, especially in the remote town of Broadway. The service was very solid for being out of the way. The food was fresh, and the portions were really big! It is a tough choice between going to Chinese in timberville or coming here now!

Went there tonight with the family a couple burgers and a cheese steak food came out hot and fresh. Service was very good much better than my last visit. We will be back again.

My family and I drove from Mathias WV to Broadway for dinner the other night and were pleasantly surprised by this place. The staff was warm, welcoming, super attentive, and friendly. The food was great-some of the freshest most delicious fried chicken I've ever had with a creamy homemade buttermilk ranch you want to bathe in. And free ice cream with the kids meals? You cant beat that. Thanks Gobbler Grill!

Food was very tasty...burger was seasoned well, homemade soup was yummy, Italian sub was nice sized but drenched in Italian dressing. Service was incredibly friendly, however staff and most patrons were not wearing masks during a pandemic and that made us feel a bit uneasy (especially the gentleman behind us talking with his mouth full and coughing with an open mouth). Would probably stop by again if in the area to give it another try as the food was good.
