I have been a patient at SSD for decades due to a rare skin disease I have. The entire staff has always been wonderful to me However Dr Shroff Mehta rocks!!!! She is extremely knowledgeable and because my situation is somewhat outside the box she is always compassionate and has never made me feel uncomfortable When an emergency has presented itself she has face timed with me or squeezed me in for an office visit to get me diagnosed and put on proper meds ASAP Never once making me feel of an inconvenience Even though this has happened often. She is always most pleasant and I feel as though I’m doing better than ever and am truly blessed to be in her care : ) Prefer to not out myself on a public forum but in case she sees this.. Dr. Herman and Monica assisted me during my visit. Their bedside manner is compassionate, calm, and cool. I cannot wait to see where his treatment plan takes me. I will periodically update this review, but first impression was 5 stars. The only possible "negative" feedback I have is that at checkout, I happened to stand at a desk waiting for Dr. Herman to write something down for me and there was a woman, possibly an assistant, sitting at the desk less than 2 feet away. Instead of greeting me or acknowledging my presence (as I was merely 2 feet away from her (she's behind the desk and im standing in front of it, no partition or anything) and she turns her back to me sitting in a chair. It was clear that she had done it to avoid any interaction with me and I found it incredibly rude. I will say all other staff interactions were pleasant so I will not deduct a star :)

I have had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Shroff-Mehta for several years. Her professionalism and compassion are outstanding. One never feels rushed and she is always very attentive to any concerns I may have. The nursing staff is also exemplary. From Leah, the head nurse, to Michelle, Brittany, Yves, and Katie. To a person, they are most pleasant and very professional. All in all, my experiences at SSDP have always been A+! -Debbie R

My experience at [south shore Dermatologist] this morning was incredibly horrible and disappointing. Despite arriving 30 minutes early, I was made to wait for an additional 45 minutes to see the doctor because they claimed he was attending to another patient. Image if I got there that late would they take me? Absolutely not, The front desk staff showed no concern or apology for the inconvenience caused, even when my wife called to address the issue. They made it seem like I chose to leave, completely disregarding the fact that they should be responsible for the appointment that they give to people and I had to be at work. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service was deeply disheartening. Promptness and effective communication should be basic standards for any medical establishment. Unfortunately, my overall impression of this place is tarnished by this experience, and I cannot recommend their services based on the poor service I receivedn NEVER AGAIN.

Had an appointment with Dr Eminger and her assistant Aly and they were both wonderful! My son was getting some warts removed and they offered him options and he chose what he was comfortable with. Everyone in the office was pleasant and easy to work with.

I used to work here before starting medical school, and all the physicians here are amazing! They are all incredibly compassionate, and they are driven by giving their patients the best medical care possible. I would recommend any of my friends or family to come here!

As I aged, there were times when I wished that I had my youthful complexion back. At 60, my wish came true but as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. In my case, it was my teenage skin that came back along with all of its acne. I'm too old to go through puberty again! Well, some parts of it I wouldn't mind doing over but I digress. Anyway, I saw Dr. Herman and a couple of prescriptions later, the acne was gone. I have also learned to just appreciate the skin that I have now and will have later. My belly on the other hand...well.

Where do I begin? First of all I do not have any issues with the doctor per say. The issue is with their billing. This place is a used car lot. 1) Issue - The doctor stated I have pre-cancerous lesions on my face and recommended a UV treatment they have in the office. I knew my insurance wouldn't cover it so I called their billing office to get a cost. They told me it wouldn't be any more than $200. Well, I have the treatment and I get a bill for $1100. When I complained and stated you told me the price wouldn't be more than $200 I was told "the person who told you that doesn't work here anymore." I said that doesn't matter and your office is still responsible. I asked them to reduce the cost and they said they wouldn't. They took no responsibility. 2) I've had skin cancer and they schedule me every year for a screening. My insurance covers screening cost 100%. I just noticed my bill of which I was charged. I contacted them and the response was they don't have a cancer screen and billed it as just an office visit. THEY schedule me for this every year! Not only that they bill for items that weren't even part of the screen. These guys are crooks. Stay away and find an honest practice.

One of the nurses, Brittany does my laser hair removal and she is always so pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend SSDP to anyone I know!!

All the nurses do a wonderful job with my light therapy treatments. Dr. Shroff-Mehta always takes great care of my skin.

I have been seeing Dr. Briceno for the past 2 years and I am very pleased with her care. She is methodical in her approach, gives great skincare advice, is easy to talk to and always thoroughly discusses my concerns/questions. Staff is always nice as well. No wait in the mornings, can expect some wait time in the afternoon. I highly recommend Dr. Briceno!

Please don’t go there especially Dr. urman unprofessional she has no clue what she’s doing I had to go and see another doctor for an issue when she said there’s nothing wrong with me and the other doctor found cancer under my skin please please if you want to save yourself do not go to see her or the whole department they’re all liars

My doctor created an amazing treatment plan for my hormonal acne, which was a success. The office is great, minimal waiting times, everyone is kind and friendly. Only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because this office charges $15 for a fax of medical records if you move out of state.

We love Amy Chang, but it is impossible to call the front office to do any routine stuff, like schedule an annual check up appointment. After waiting for over 30 mins stating that I am the 6th in line, then 5th in line, etc., when it was finally my turn, you just get a voice message saying to leave a voice mail and someone will get back to me in 24 hours. There is no live person to pick up a phone in 30 minutes? Amy Chang: 5 stars. Front office and how they run business: 0 stars. I second other reviews of Dr. Urman. I did not have a good experience with her, unfortunately. She told me I don’t have an infection and then I ended up in ER with antibiotics the same night.

I had a great visit with Dr. Loo. He is highly knowledgeable and efficient. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. Minimal wait time. Highly recommend!
