The atmosphere here is great and very peaceful. It's lovely to look out at the dam while you eat. The food was good but a bit pricey. Our waiter was nice and we received good service. This is a great place for a family breakfast. I would recommend visiting here

We visited the coffee shop for a family breakfast. The venue is great, especially if you prefer outdoors. The views accross Bullfrog dam are amazing and you can watch the flamingos, birds and even geese roaming between tables. The portions were small, especially for what we were charged. The waiters were not great as they struggled to communicate and answer our questions. All Covid protocols are followed and guests are spaced out well.

Enjoyed delicious Caribbean Mochas and freshest Carrot Cake. Very pleasing service. Facilities being improved since the relentless Summer rains. Such tranquility!

Love this coffee shop and adore the dam and ducks and geese and excellent service . Thank you only the floods were such a shame . But I still go there .

Love this place! So peaceful having a meal while watching the flamingoes in the water. I had breakfast for lunch, a delicious crumpet stack. Their mango smoothie was also moreish. Friendly waiter too. Overall a great outing. So much better than looking out over a parking lot.

Wonderful, cosy cafe overlooking a large pan that is teeming with bird life. Peaceful, quiet spot with tasty food and beverages that gives the impression of being out in the country. Highly recommended.

I enjoy visiting this location for the great views of the surplus of birds to photograph. It has a extremely welcoming coffee location with seating area close to the viewpoints. Staff is welcoming and friendly. You can lodge here and from what I've observed you are well cared for. The food is wonderful and I personally give a 5 star to their pancakes. I would recommend this location to people who enjoy bird watching, photographers, a couple out for a quiet breakfast. There is parking and one can park close to the entrance for better wheelchair access. Restrooms are clean and all staff follow COVID 19 directions with temperature checks, hand sanitizing and wearing of masks.

This is a cute little restaurant with a lovely view. Their servers were very friendly and quick. Menu could use a bit more variety but overall good!

Booked their venue and I must say they went out of their way to help and assist us. Wonderful venue in a beautiful spot and the customer service makes this a definite recommendation. They have venue for a function and a coffee shop for breakfast if you want. Thanks Selma and the team!

Lovely open and peaceful environment looking out on to the Pan, with active bird life. Had a wonderful waiter, Liam. The nachos (hot) were great, full of flavour. Just no option of fresh fruit juices, expect Liquifruit. Was a lovely time and will return.

Visited there yesterday with a friend and her grandsons, we had an excellent experience. The staff all round were friendly and efficient, our waitress was very good, even offering a small meal of sausages for my friend's dog. The one waiter brought the dog a bowl of water shortly after our arrival. So thoughtful! Will definitely recommend this place, and visit again.

What a surprising little magic place. So quiet and peaceful, and due to covid they now function as a road house setup with staff taken your order at the car and bringing your food to you. Seats available round the dam, very widely spaced so you can actually have a private conversation without whispering. The birdlife is amazing to look at, and quite a few pink flamingos stroling the dam. The food is good, scenery is even better. A very big favorite at the moment. Love supporting our local entrepreneurs. Keep it up guys.

Fork lifts screaming around the store, not blocking customers off whilst operating forklifts in isles. Shelves empty!

Employees are the biggest issue here. They push customers out of the way to stock their shelves, they drive their stackers/forklifts at unnecessary speeds. This is one of the worst makro's I have ever been too. Definitely will not recommend supporting this makro

The very first Makro where I didn't have to go back to fight because prices that was rang up differed from prices on the shelves. Well done.

Lovely place to eat something and watch the birdlife on the dam.feels like the country side

This "small-town cafe" set up has much potential and therefore trust the constructive criticism will be well received to result in improvement; considering they have only been open for a year or so. Our experience was as follows: SHORT : Quick service, unique "out of the bustle" experience. Prices charged for the quality of ingredients and method of food preparation are exorbitant. A touch of light classic music could do wonders here so that one wouldn't have to hear management giving orders to the staff. LONG: The setting has potential in that it does have some sort of a nature feel. However, the grass patch near the tables could be kept cleaner from goose feathers; another point that adds to the somewhat unappetizing atmosphere is the dam nearby which, unfortunately, looks a little "swampy" (perhaps this is out of their control) and not very encouraging to look at while one is eating. Food arrived quickly, but this is to be expected when it would seem like the toast and eggs are all made beforehand, i.e. eggs are not the conventional fried 'sunny side up' but seem to be prepared in an electronic egg-maker. Toast was quite hard, reminiscent of toast one would find at a breakfast buffet. The biggest letdown was the price for the Hashbrown Stacker; especially considering that it would seem the hasbrowns are the frozen store-bought kind, not homemade. Also, processed cheese is used. Bacon, although crispy, was not of a superior quality. The dish lacks an acidic flavour profile to break the oiliness. Perhaps a side of baby tomatoes drizzled with balsamic and pesto/fresh herbs could work or a relish. The current sauce does not complement the meal. The onion ring on top was delicious! Budget Breakfast was not bad; some places one might get 2 eggs for the same price. Cappuccino: Ok, but the large mug that it is served in results in quite a weak flavour, and an extra R9 for "strong" is not in line with market prices. Trust that management would zone in and fine tune a few things for this spot to truly be a magnet to customers.

Ventured here for lunch this past Sunday, and It's a nice, quaint little spot which is a breather from the hustle and bustle, service was lovely but the food a little underwhelming and some items a little over priced compared to what's around... overall not a bad outing but I wouldn't be rushing back...

This is a lodge but also a beautiful spot for breakfast on a Sunday morning. You can sit in doors or out, and are right on the waters edge, and likely to be accompanied by a gaggle of geese waddling about the lawn and can watch the water birds playing. The full breakfast is delicious and generous, the cappuccino with cream a must have and the service very good. There's plenty of parking, and do check out the well stocked second hand book shop. They do seem to be undergoing some renovations, and I am very excited to see what the end result will be. As friend joined me for breakfast for her birthday, and we wanted to follow up with some of the advertised cake of the day, but unfortunately they didn't have any on offer.

Highly environmentally friendly store with great variety of products to choose from situated at an ideal spot for a quick visit. I personally have reason to believe that they generate all the electrical power they need from solar panels. Furthermore, they recycle and reuse heat and condensation in ways that put them in a trendsetting position. A true inspiration to "go green."

I was searched and other people were not searched. That was my first time seeing that happening at Makro. When I asked why am I the only one who's being searched. The security lady sad she doesn't know. This experience was very pain full, being discriminated at it is not nice. I liked this store but this experience made search for another store when I will not treated like criminal.

Very full, they are trying their level best to comply with the whole social distancing and sanitizing. I must say, they specials are not that impressive anymore even when spending a huge amount. But overally it's still a good place to bulk up on groceries and appliances.

The parcel scanning by security is quite tedious and does not fall in line with Covid protocols, it's very unhygienic for someone to be manhandling your groceries hence i prefer to pack my own. Too much handling of purchased goods at Makro otherwise great outlet.
