    Day1 Health is an absolutely pointless medical insurance. If you can afford a better medical insurance policy opt for that. Not only am I co-paying for my Doctor's consultations because they only reimburse you up to R340 which takes away the benefit of having medical insurance but for every ****ing procedure you need to process a reimbursement claim which is HIGHLY inconvenient. Beside the hand full of good customer services agents that they do have the rest are ****ing useless, the amount of times I have been told by an agent "I don't know or I think" is a joke! A WASTE OF MY MONEY. I do not recommend Day1 Health to anyone. Hopefully someone else can save themselves money and not learn the hard way like I did. 1 star is rating is quite generous.

    Do Not bother run, they didn't debit on the 25th on the 11 the person was in an accident and they are refusing to approve the clai.They say it's 14 days grace period and they include weekends all of a sudden not 14 business days. We are going ombudsman with this, they are taking chances. All these years paying without claiming and they do this. Don't waste your money on this nonsense.

    The one thing that bothers me the most is the waiting periods specifically if you are older. The reason you want a medical is to help you. The waiting periods seems unrealistic The other thing is after a year I can advise anyone to get a real medical fund. Do not subscride to day1. They are backstabbers which leave you in debt.

    Make sure you do your research before taking this hospital insurance. It is not a medical aid cover. You only know once you claim. Do extensive research to avoid disappointment.

    I would just like to compliment Day 1 Health on the great service I have received from the day I joined in 2020. The whole Team, really well done guys! They are always helpful and I appreciate the fact that even though there are shortfalls I still get my claims paid, chronic medication, hospital admission and my claims get paid. THANK YOU DAY HEALTH!

    Thank you Day1 Health. The Value Plus Plan works for me. I am also grateful that I can still have some sort of Medical cover in these times. I know not everything is covered, but it is a little safety net for me.

    I've been a Day1 Health member for over 5 years and the level of service received has been impeccable through out the years. They've helped me and my family through a difficult times. I can honestly say that Day1 health offers value for money!

    I have to pay for any medications out of pocket. Plus I just had a baby and unlike other madical aids where a newborn is covered immediately my child has to wait 30 days for day to day and 3 months for hospital. He is a newborn not a old born. This is so bad as my child struggles with sinus and I can't even take him to be Seen by a doctor and if he has a attack I can't even take him to hospital

    Day1 Health has hounded me with its cold calling. I have no affiliation or even heard of this insurer, yet the agent denied that it was a cold call and stated that I supposedly requested contact. They contacted me via my business' landline that they likely sourced from my company's website by a third-party data source. As a company that provides personal insurance, I'm sure most people will use personal information when opting in for a contact request. Their tactic is probably a workaround for POPIA, but it won't have me signing up for a policy any day soon!

    I've been calling the call centre and the agents keep dropping calls on me and they are very impatient. They can't even help me find a doctor in my area cos their website is not upto date. First time wanting to use this thing and I don't get help after months of paying. Just useless.

    Pathetic services, they have been taking their monthly installments but when it's time to claim they are stalling ,trust me don't sign up with Dayone health insurance they are honestly the worst

    You are the worst medical insurgence, you don't pay the doctors, my account was in arrears and I had to pay it myself, people I really do not recommend them, unprofessional people, when you phone them, they don't know what is going on with your account and it is still in process of paying the doctors they don't want to give my money back and I haven't even used them just once to find out they didn't paid the doctors

    Please avoid this company. You will be left with unpaid bills and end up paying doctors directly. They are unresponsive to emails and impossible to get hold of via the call centre. You will remain caller nr 1 until the call eventually cuts. Save your money or use alternative companies.
