Affordable fishing grounds nothing fancy, but beautiful clean area and dam. 🎣👍🏼R35 per person, R35 per Car and R100 for Camping per Night. We caught 2 fishes and the people next to us caught 8 in one day! That was exiting! 😀 We had a beautiful view of the nature reserve across the dam and saw a lot of animals that came to drink water during the day. 🌳 They have long-drop toilets, bring your own toilet paper! Perfect day trip near Pretoria.❤️

Nice fishing spot. Good outdoorsy vibe and the chief care taker is very friendly. Nice and clean. Just natural washups and etc. But it better not to bother with the natural structures and etc. So overall very nice spot.

We came for fishing but we only had picnic ,no bloody fish

hyacinth taking over this dam as well took me all morning to get a spot cleared and then the wind comes an push tons of hyacinth over again

Ablution block needs a serious revamp long drop toilets are dangerous and a thing of the past

Very enjoyable toilets exceptable it's visible that there is an effort to keep the water clean this has to be a continuous effort there is still a lot of rubbish on the side far to much visitors will have to bring their side also together Roodeplaat can be a gem thank you

Fishing was great but the water was too green.

Went for a night session. Really a nice place! Caught 9 fish for the night. Though the toilets needs some attention. Prices are moderate but still worth it.
