Very good, tasty food. Welcoming and attentive staff. I look forward to my next meal here. I had the chicken tandoori with medium spice. It was delicious and the perfect amount of heat. I do love very spicy which is an option here…but on this day I chose medium and was delighted. My family also enjoyed their meals and commented on how good their food good was. I didn’t get the chance to try anything else.

Stopped in for buffet lunch after a long absence on 12/26/23. Once again, very impressed. Staff quite pleasant. Food outstanding in taste and variety. Decor beautiful without overpowering music or video screens. Good price (you get tea for free). This is a better than average Indian restaurant. Good variety of food. Very tasty. Reasonable price. We visited again in November of 2019. We were again impressed with the beautiful layout and the attractive appearance of the food. And the taste is also quite good. The dining area is very comfortable and pleasant. It's a convenient location. The staff are quite friendly. We highly recommend this place.

Food variety was good. They had both vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes available. Garlic naan and regular Naan. Samosas were a tad too dark (deep fried too long).

We travel a lot but when we're home, this is virtually the only restaurant we go to. We love Taste of India; it's a family run operation, brother, sister, mom and others all labouring to bring you delicious and authentic Indian food. My favorite Indian dish here is the Chicken Shah Korma and my wife loves everything, ordering a different dish every time. The na'an and samsosas are divine, the Bha'toora is out of this world. It's a delicious fried Indian bread. I bring clients here, we bring our friends and family here. For Christmas this year we bought nearly everyone gift cards for this place, that's how much we love it. Thanks for the great food!

TASTE Of India left us TASTE-ing for more of it! We’ve already highly recommended this place to many to have a variety, high-quality, nominally-priced TASTE of the most delicious Indian food we’ve ever had! The dining can be “come casual,” but the atmosphere, food and service was anything but that from start to finish! Our waiter went way above-and-beyond. Toward the end, I mentioned it was my birthday the next day. Let’s just say, he started the celebrating early! So appreciated him and this restaurant! TASTE Of India TASTEs like more! That’s why we’re heading back tonight, taking two more to be fed-up in a most delicious way! 😋 🇮🇳 😋

Their daily lunch buffet from 11:30am-3pm is great! The garlic naan is at the buffet line, and they have gulab jamun in the dessert area.

We came in close to closing time and they still served us. The food was amazing. So much flavor. So fresh. We (two of us) shared plates and it was a-lot. The spices were there, the heat and all the flavor. I cant wait to go back and try the buffet to explore more items.

i am highly disappointed, today i order chicken 65 via door dash and trust me very few pieces of unfresh chicken found, i repeat unfresh chicken it was so spicy oh my god super spicy i can see only and only chilli everywhere with super soury. i think my money wasted as whole order will going to be in garbaige now and whatever i eat am sure my stomach will surely going to upset today after eating this. Below pic is self explanatory that how much chilli in it.

wohhhh to much oil and please don't name it as biryani it is chicken Pulav.. Requested for spicy food chef added green chillies to Biryani you can imagine how it will be. We could even feel real tamarind in the biryani with seeds...ordered one order of mirchi bajji it is not even worth for the money, too little quantity.. Note: 1.Don't ask for spicy food 2. Try other than Biryani those are not biryani’s those are pulavs 3. Try for dining not take out 4. Over priced..

Very friendly staff, pleasant ambiance, perfect #TandoriChicken (#halal), #Peshawri Naan, salted #Lassi with a hint of cumin, and excellent chutney/sauces … what else you need!😇 Btw serving size is quite generous! Coming to #halal options, they have lamb and goat dishes halal. In chicken options, Tandori Chicken is halal. #desifood #Wisconsin #Milwaukee #Brookfield #food #indian #Pakistani #cuisine

We have been to dinner and lunch buffet here several times and it has always been a wonderful and fulfilling experience. I do prefer the buffet (Tues-Sun until 3pm) because I love so many of the dishes and trying them all at once 😋. My favorites are the veggie pakora, chicken tikka, almond carrot dish, mango lassi, biryani, spiced tea with milk, rice dessert, mang chutney and really any of the other delicious options I would not say no to. The staff is always prompt and courteous. The manager is accommodating and kind and fills in all the roles of the restaurant when they are busy. The atmosphere is always clean and looks very nice with red booths and bright walls/windows/accents. We always feel comfortable here. This is the best India buffet we have come across and will keep returning. Attached are a few photos.

This is by far the best Indian in town. Easy atmosphere for 2 or 10, adults or kids. Buffet makes it easy to try new things and it's always fresh, usually prepared with mild spice. Otherwise the menu is broad and no matter what you ordered, it will arrive quickly and taste amazing. It's busy here but not crowded, food is fresh and well prepared and you can just as easily come dressed up or bring your kids. When they ask you 'how hot' they mean it and hot will make a grown man sweat, but it's worth it.

The culinary experience at the Indian restaurant in question undoubtedly ranks among the most exceptional within our local community. Evidently, there has been a noticeable evolution in their gastronomic offerings over an extended period. Previously, the nuances of seasoning might not have achieved the same level of refinement that characterizes their present state. As of today's date, August 23, 2023, the culinary mastery is particularly evident in the preparation of the goat curry, where the seasoning strikes a harmonious balance, enriching the dish with an impeccable blend of spices. It is worth noting that the goat curry exhibits a distinct absence of any off-putting odors commonly associated with such preparations. Similarly, the goat biryani underscores the kitchen's prowess in the art of seasoning, expertly combining spices and salt to achieve an optimal symphony of flavors. The meticulous attention to detail, down to the absence of any residual odors from the goat meat, underscores the excellence that defines this establishment. It is with great enthusiasm that I confer a well-deserved five-star rating upon this remarkable restaurant.

*** for old services and reputation had earlier. As well as overall service we received from taste of India. Entered for lunch buffet on Sunday 2/12 around 1.45 pm for special weekend buffet $19.99/each and asked about Goat curry, employer agreed it is in buffet. When started it’s out of buffet for goat curry at 2 pm but available with a-la-carte, it’s funny. Still they charged $19.99 end of the day and really less items considering special buffet and total cost.

Our team had a fantastic dining experience at Taste of India. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere set the perfect backdrop for our gathering. The staff was attentive, and the authentic flavors of each dish left a lasting impression. It was a delightful team-building experience, and we highly recommend Taste of India for those looking to combine great food with a welcoming environment.

The food was above average. The service was good. Some of the staff are very friendly. The manager stared at me for no reason which was weird. There were no naans for almost 10 minutes. We had to wait to get them. There was no daal for white but there was daal makhni which didn’t give the good taste and the combination. The veg and the non veg food trays are placed opposite and the gravy of meat 🍖 curry was spilled in daal makhni (photo attached). This was not good. The gulab jamun was very spongy which was not having any khova rather milk cream and maida I believe. The taste was average. The rasam was good. If you visit this restaurant around 11:30-12, it would be overcrowded and may need to wait for the food and the table.

If you’re looking for a good dinner spot, Taste Of India in Brookfield is a solid choice. Four of us had dinner there, and it was a great experience. The salty lassi was really refreshing—one of the best I’ve had in a while. The Paneer Jalfarezi and Saag Paneer were both delicious, exactly what we were hoping for. The Malai Kofta was good too, though it had a bit of a sour note that wasn’t quite what I expected. We sampled different types of Naan, and they were all soft and well cooked. The service was excellent, with everyone greeting us with a smile, which made the meal even more enjoyable. They also offer a 10% discount if you pay in cash, which is a nice little perk. I’ve been to Taste Of India before, and I’ll definitely be back again!

Absolutely delicious. We were so worried this place would not be good based on what is available in Oconomowoc but it was outstanding. Well worth the drive. Would highly recommend. Only feedback is the onion bhaji was small singular bites, kind of looked like fries. I prefer the authentic bhaji but the taste was on point

We stopped for the lunch buffet, it’s separated by meat on one side and vegetarian on the other. Eat the vegetarian side!!! Service was super friendly

This restaurant is very welcoming and comfortable. The service is great. Employees are very respectful and quick with getting your food to you as fast as possible. The food is amazing too! This will always be my go-to place to get Indian food from. I've been here about 3 or 4 times now, and every time has been amazing.

This review is mostly about the weekday lunch buffet, $17.99 as of 2023/5/11: The restaurant was tidy. The goat (at least when I had it) was unexpectedly chewy to the point of almost being gummy, so I suppose it wasn't cooked long enough, though it was flavored well. The chicken biryani was unusually bone-in, not boneless as I've always experienced elsewhere, which was inconvenient. Everything else was VERY salty or sweet, filling, and diverse. The glass covering the buffet dishes was SEVERELY dizzying to try to look through, because it curves right at the eye level of male average height when you inspect the food. Honestly, this alone was the biggest problem I had here; it was nearly vertigo-inducing, yet also awkward to try to look around. I would add a ★ if this glass gets changed to a sharp slant instead of a smooth, distracting curve.

My wife and I just ate there tonight. This place is a gem. The service was wonderful, the food was amazing, flavor, portions, and price. All five stars for sure. We were picking out what we want to try next. If you’ve never been to an Indian restaurant before. Do yourself a favor and go. They will answer any questions you have and you will love it.

Absolutely delicious. I had so many great dishes I can’t go into details about them all, but not a single one disappointed. Mango Lassi, Veggie Paneer, Lamb Curry, Chicken Chili appetizer, and Garlic Naan. The one pro tip I learned from a regular: order off the menu; don’t eat from the buffet. The food is more delicious when it’s made fresh.

Climate control was very good. Restaurant’s environment was good as well. All the food I have tasted was moderately spiced. Rice pudding had a great taste with a lot of milk in it. Sweet balls called Golab Jamun was sweeter than usual. Satisfying lunch ended with a free Indian Masala Tea.

  • 5/5 Mikayla H. 2 years ago on Google
The food is delicious. I do not personally have a great amount of experience in Indian food bit from what I have tasted elsewhere TOI holds up very nicely. It's a fairly classy place inside the strip mall by half price books. Nice lighting and soft Indian music play as you walk in. They have a 15 dollar lunch/dinner tray, a "temporary" measure due to covid to replace the buffet option, for those who, like me, don't know enough about Indian cuisine to make an educated choice for themselves. The tray is fantastic and will over time give you some favorites to choose from. The staff is helpful and friendly. I recommend this place if you want to try something different.
