Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Memorial park

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Visit in the evening. Very few people. Quiet. Highly recommend a stop. A great place to reflect on the history and great losses, to pay respect to honor those who fought for what they believed in. Many losing their lives in the process. So much history in this park. A really neat piece of history that’s in the middle of a great park.

Very beautiful and peaceful. As of Oct 22 they are doing some upkeep on the monument but it is still very visible and open to the public. The park was nice both in the daytime and later at night as well.

Such an amazing place. Clean and beautiful. Very pensive space, beautifully designed. The ever burning flame and unknown grave are finely complimented by the local art of the stoops. The fountain in the middle is unimpressive but a fine addition.

"Freedom is a light for which many have died in darkness." There are hundreds of soldiers from Washington's army who died during the Revolutionary War buried in unmarked graves here. I prefer to view the Tomb and the Square as a Soldier's Memorial rather than a war memorial. Worth a visit to pause and remember.

Beautiful park, doesn't get used all that much, no one knows its one large grave!

It's the best park in center city. Lots of benches. Fairly large. You can make friends with a squirrel. They'll eat right out of your hands if you're chill. Lots of large American Sycamore trees. You can do laps. It's a great place for your head to escape from the hustle and bustle. Pet friendly. Not too much riff raff. Please don't taint it.

Right near Independence Hall (the Liberty Bell) and other historic tourist spots. Now also close to the Museum of the American Revolution, which just opened. A great, small park to stop by on a detour!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Amazing Monument. Be sure to visit on April 30th to see the veterans event. Very powerful, and the flyover was amazing!
