Wow! We're so glad we stopped by here. We had no idea the kind of treat that was in store! The vibe was indescribable. There is so much to look at and discover in this place! The food was stellar! The drinks were delicious. Such a great and unique experience not to miss!

I highly recommend this place as an outdoor dining place for a date night because of its romantic atmosphere and vibes here! The outdoor dining area felt like an indoor because they blocked the space between two buildings next to each other, but it was still open air. Their sushi was okay (like normal sushi that you can buy from grocery stores), but their grilled dishes were surprisingly amazed me, especially their grilled squid! I will definitely come back to just get their grilled squid.

Amazing Asian fusion tacos! The bulgoggi tacos were amazing, I'd definitely recommend that. Any of the other taco options were also great. Can't go wrong with pork and kimchi in a taco. The sushi was really good quality. You can tell it's good quality when there's more fish than rice 😉 if you're in the mood for something hot and soupy, they have a great selection of ramen as well! I'd like to come back and try more from the menu. The service was very good and very fast. I got my food within 10 minutes after ordering.

I’ve dined at this restaurant for the past 5 years with my girlfriend because it’s her favorite place to eat. However; they recently changed the menu and it’s horrible. For example, I ordered the spicy pork bowl and it tasted like it was seasoned with just salt, pepper and sesame oil. From my impression, the menu change was to save cost by using cheaper ingredients to save money. The service and atmosphere remains the same. If the menu ever changes back, I’d be willing to take down my review.

Great place for sake and quality sushi lovers! They have a large selection of sake of different origins and strengths. Lots of space at the bar with solid mood lighting for a date or night out with friends. No complaints at all. Knowledgeable bartenders as well! Give this place a shot!

Was here for CC Sips. Got seated without waiting too long ~ 30mins during peak hours. Service was very good. Food came out fast and the cocktails were quite nice. Loved the ambience of the place as well. Decently priced as well. Drinks + apps came around to a 100$ for 4 people.

Loved this spot, we wanted to go to a speakeasy and this came up. I found it interested they hard sushi and from their photos I was a little unsure. I AM SO GLAD WE WENT. Our waiter was outstanding he had a great attitude and recommendations. We like to try at least one thing our waiter will suggest and we tried almost everything he suggested because it was just that good. Drinks were strong but I am not complaining I'm glad they actually make drinks you can taste the trouble haha. They also had so many options to pick from their menu and I wanted it all.

Came in on a Tuesday night after reading the reviews and was in and out in 45 mins. We were seated quickly without reservations and service was super quick. Jose was our server and he was attentive and knowledgeable of the history of the restaurant and the menu. His energy woke me up and I appreciated that after a long work day. The restaurant was clean and the food was fresh. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. We ordered a number of appetizers and everything was great. I certainly plan to revisit.

The white tiger and burning rainbow rolls were 🔥 some of the best sushi I've had! Very fresh and unique rolls. Loved the atmosphere of the bar and inside of the restaurant with the hanging lights. There is a cute outdoor area with an outdoor bar too.

The entrance was a little confusing since there are two entrances next to each other and there was no host when we arrived. We went during restaurant week so we expected it to be a little hectic. We sat at the bar and were quickly attended for the first round of drinks which were good. However, as the night progressed and the venue got busier, we tried to order food and despite the staff saying they would be with us shortly several times we never got to place an order or get another round of drinks. We were so hungry after waiting for more than an hour that we had to leave to get food elsewhere. It took a bit to get our check too as the barstaff kept forgetting to bring it by after we asked. I don't blame the staff for being so scattered since it was probably a busier night than normal. All in all, the venue has a cool vibe and decent drinks but maybe go on a night that isn't too crowded to get the best experience.

We really used to love this place. The food used to be so good and the old menu had me coming back several times for special occasions and even for quick bites with family and friends yet we went and they completely changed the menu without any notice and we were left to order unsatisfied because we were expecting the old menu. I unfortunately won’t be coming back. Such a shame because this was one of the best spots in Philly. I ordered the bulgogi dish that came with cheese and I specifically told them no cheese as we’re lactose intolerant yet it unfortunately came with cheese.

Eating a number of time there during happy hour since I work very close. The atmosphere is always great and the last time I went, the DJ played great music. The food is delicious and I like the additions to the happy hour menu. The drinks are okay, doesn't seem to be anything that I love but maybe that will change with Leda's. One thing that I don't like are the bathrooms- dim, dark bathrooms in the basement doesn't necessarily give off 'safe' vibes. Lighting needs to be brighter. Not sure if there are bathrooms on the main floor since accessibility should always be a priority. Otherwise great place, highly recommend.

Y’all the lemon pepper wings, SO GOOD. They have a spectacular happy hour, lots food and drink options. The Boa buns, also delish. We sat outside and the heat from the lamps were really good so if they say they only have outdoor seating & it’s cold, it should be ok. I am looking forward to going back.

I love this place! The sushi is amazing, and they have a really cool atmosphere. If you want something other than sushi, 1225 has other great items on the menu to try. Great place for a date or night out in the city!

Very cute indoor place. When you stand at the door and look in, it seems really tiny, but it's actually a pretty large place. Love the decor and anime art. The food was decently priced. Lots of choices in foods. There's something for everyone.

Great atmosphere ! The sushi was great, had a tiny dancer roll (Definitely one to Order ), philly roll , spicy tuna the yellowtail sashimi was the best we ever had! Not being from the area, we were really lost on where to go for good sushi, glad we found this place! It was in walking distance from our hotel.

From the moment I walked in I knew this place was gonna be great. The atmosphere was everything and the food did not disappoint! The prices were fair. Great place to bring a date or hang out with friends. The menue had a good amout of vegetarian options too. Don't pass on this place or their grilled skewers! Note: The parking garage did not give me the promised discount, because they claimed I needed a "green sticker" from the restaurant, which the restaurant knew nothing about. Parking ended up costing more than my meal 😔

My friend and I came here for CC Sips and were seated within 5 minutes. Our server was great. Food and drinks were served very fast. We loved the Spirited Away cocktail. I wasn't a fan of the sauce that came on the chicken bites, so I wished that was served on the side. Food was good and atmosphere was great. I'd like to come back to try more from the dinner menu.

I just recently arrived from japan and this is a good substitute. The ingredients are clean with balanced flavors.

This place was wonderful. I went in with my sushi-loving son for a light dinner. Prices were reasonable, the menu is diverse, and the waiter was great. The place was busy, but not too overwhelming for my son. This was in contrast to a hip joint down the block that didn’t seem too welcoming and was loud, loud, loud. This place was still loud, but not as much and just seemed more welcoming. We also enjoyed the decor, with the walls covered in pictures and newspaper articles and the like. We had the bulgogi tacos and the basic nigiri/California roll platter. I’ve eaten at a few Korean taco places in Seoul and these bulgogi tacos were just as good. My son, who hasn’t eaten Korean food regularly since he was 4, loved them and now wants to eat more. He also gave the fish on the sushi a 10 out of 10, saying he judges sushi places on their raw fish and this is the best he’s had.

Oh my gosh, go here go here go here!!! This is hands down some of the freshest most amazing sushi I've ever had. The salmon sashimi, also, was so fresh and tasted like it melted in your mouth. We went for restaurant week - even the Ginger Salad appetizer was so deliciously fresh. I also ordered the Bermuda Crunch with Ahi Tuna as a second dish and it did not disappoint. The tuna was SO fresh. My boyfriend got the spicy salmon bao buns and he also was a big fan. For entrees, I got the Surf and Turf roll - wow it was so good. It was unique as well - never heard of something like that before! We also ordered two of these little eel rolls and wow - the eel was so soft and tender and delicious. For dessert, we got the Mochi ice cream sampler and they were hands down the best mochi we have ever had. Seriously, we'll never go to the freezer section for mochi again. We loved it so much that we actually ordered seconds of it and paid extra outside the set restaurant week menu. Vanilla and mango were our favorites. Overall, this place is A MUST! The ambience inside is also so cool and modern, and the outdoor seating looked beautiful as well. Super kind service too and everything came out perfectly timed.

Some pretty fire chirashi! There were several types of fish including mackerel, tuna, and salmon. Good bang shrimp as well. A bit pricey for 2 people, but good value for chirashi rice bowl.

Atmosphere is nice, staff were nice. But we were very disappointed by the food. It felt like dishes were covered up in sauce so that's all you taste. We left our sushi on the table after only a few pieces - low quality, bad taste. Won't be back.

Great find! The appetizers and sushi were really good. The cocktails were were tasty but a bit pricey for what you got, but they do have an extensive sake list. Excellent service and the outside seating was very enjoyable, kind of tucked away from the main road which gives some privacy. Overall, very good!

I have been to 1225 raw many times. The food is phenomenal, which was why I decided to have my birthday dinner here bringing guests from out of town. I had the WORST experience at a restaurant I’ve ever had. We had 2-3 separate people serving us, nobody knew what they were doing. Nobody came to ask if we wanted drinks for over 30 minutes, and finally when they did they got the drinks mixed up. Then nobody came to take our food order for another 45 minutes I physically had to go to the bar and make sure someone would come take our order. We never ordered all at once because the server(s) were so frazzled, and the food was coming incorrect (both what was ordered and the amounts). I totally understand if it was a busy night but restaurant was empty. I got the wrong roll and several other orders were incorrect. Again, I had to go up to the bar because no one was coming over to our table. I let the bartender know we received the incorrect rolls and that it would be taken off the bill. By the time time bill came 3 hours later we wanted to get out of there immediately. A photo of the bill was taken and next day we realized we were STILL CHARGED for the incorrect orders and food that never even came to our table. I would normally let this thing go but the experience was so bad the people I brought from out of town are still talking about it weeks later. Unacceptable!!

An amazing sushi spot in the city pass this place walking back to my hotel after lunch and looked it up on Google. The reviews were great so I thought I would check it out for dinner. What a terrific find their sushi is amazing town they have sake, my waitress literally poured the craft at the top, they have real ginger and some pretty unique rolls as well as their seaweed salad option which I got the salmon skin, seaweed salad. It was crazy delicious and the rolls I had were absolutely divine eight large pieces per roll. The ambience is very weak. It’s like modern Japanese combined with Japanese game characters very hip and very unique. I can’t wait to return the next time I’m in the city and if you’re looking for a good spot and around the square of Philly this is definitely the place!

They only had outdoor seating when we walked in so we took it, but the heater totally works and it was quieter than indoor seating. Good sushi, super good cocktails, would like to come again.

Our bartender, Anthony, was amazing. Great to talk with and made amazing drinks. The happy hour menu is amazing, especially the spicy pork tacos. Definitely will be back!
