Fresh pond gives you the space and tranquility to escape the city without leaving the city. Fresh pond is amazing place for running and jogging. The circle is about 2.5 miles. You will enjoy meeting neighbors, families and tourists. The new renovations for the walking/biking bath, community gardens and flowers gardens added more charms to the area.

It's a wonderful park in the middle of a busy urbain area. Grab your bike and complete a loop on the beautiful trail around the pond. This place gives the chance to escape the city noise and crowd without having to go to far.

Really nice place for a family walk. We walked the loop with our six year old twins and it was great. Everyone respectful of social distancing and mask wearing as required.

Cambridge only parking (not even guest passes allowed)--heavily enforced. Cambridge registered dogs only --apparently enforced. The Fresh Pond dog beach would be a great place to let your dog cool off during the summer if it weren't regulated by nativist a holes.

You can't park here unless you are a resident of Cambridge. Even though the parking lot was mostly empty when I went, I was told to leave or I would get a ticket. There is no guest parking. The street I was told to park on nearby (not that near) was also resident parking only, so thank you to the gentleman who kicked me out for saving me a parking ticket, but no thank you to the alternative parking suggestions. I drove home noticing that pretty much every street in Cambridge requires resident permits, and I realized that the city of Cambridge really does not want outsiders to visit. Fresh Pond is essentially an unofficial gated community amenity for the wealthy residents. Everyone else, do not come.

You need a Cambridge resident parking sticker to park in the parking lot. Itโ€™s a great place to take a walk. Very popular place in Cambridge so itโ€™s not the most private place to get back to nature but itโ€™s still beautiful. Part of the path around the lake is paved and the rest is compacted dirt, which I prefer. Lots of loons and swans. Little Fresh Pond in the back is a great birdwatching spot. Thereโ€™s also some super cute wood benches along the path. Thereโ€™s a chain link fence separating the path from the water.

Such a lovely park with wonderful scenery and a semi-large loop to walk. A couple of problems: When you get on the loop, you have to complete it. (if you're with an elder or child, consider that there are limited number of seating available and not much scape paths from the loop). No bathroom available in the park (or at least I haven't found any). It's hard to find parking around the area (if you don't have Cambridge parking permit).

A great (short) running route in Cambridge. If you just want to walk/run around the pond, you'll likely need a car. If you have a dog, this place is great because dogs can be off leash (if you're a registered Cambridge resident) and they can cool off in the water about half way through the walk. Most of the route is fenced in, so it's virtually a moving dog park as you run around. Be aware of some construction along the road where the fences are not up (especially if you bring dogs with you). A perfect running route!

Fresh Pond is super nice. There is a nicely paved path around the pond, as well as some dirt trails, space for dogs, and other overlooks for enjoying nature

Terrible place, nowhere to park, you will be ticketed no matter what. The city of Cambridge is garbage. You are NOT encouraged to do anything recreational.

Lovely place to have a stroll/jog around. We do have a golf course, lawn tennis court and a children's park around.
