Trainers get to know you personally and analyze your progress every 20 workouts. I think the biggest difference for me is the function - as a nurse, my back and joint health is an important part of doing my job effectively. Working out at DS has helped stabilize my core and avoid getting hurt at work. It is a fantastic place to become a better version of yourself!

Discover Strength has been a game changer. I started over a year ago and beyond pleased with the results so far. I started with little expectations as my past experiences with gym/clubs has been less than stellar. Discover is more than a gym/club, the trainers are the BEST! They make working out more fun and want to work harder. The results have been amazing, I feel stronger and more in shape at 60 than any other decade previously. When you get compliments from complete strangers about your arms, that's amazing. Love my "Breakfast Club" (Training at 5;30 am) at Plymouth, the Trainers are the BOMB!!!

Why 5 stars? 1. The result: Aerobically, I have long been very active. Four years and 8 months ago, concerned about muscle loss associated with getting older (alas), I gave Discover Strength a try. My goals: minimize muscle loss and decrease the proportion of total weight comprised by fat (vs muscle). Since beginning, my strength has actually increased (I'd have been happy with maintained), and my body fat percentage is down 8 percentage points, 2.4 of those in the last 6 months (it wasn't high to begin with). It works. 2. The methodology: focus (time and attention), intensity, technique, isolation, & variation. 3. The trainers: each is attentive to my readiness for each session, both mental and physical ... it seems they are rather good at reading me; and each then adjusts their approach in subtle ways to nudge the most out of me ... clearly more than I'd do on my own. After 6+ years, I've had the opportunity to work with many trainers. To a person, they are outstanding. There are perhaps less expensive choices; however, it would be inaccurate to consider them true alternatives or substitutes.

I've been training 2x week virtually for 3 years, and it's the best investment I've made in my health ever. The workouts are 30 minutes long, they're customized to me with a new routine every 10 workouts, and they're intense, thus results oriented. A concierge assists in any schedule changes, and I feel safe and supported by the team of educated trainers. It's been a life-changing commitment for me.

I've been a client since May 2016. Then age 56, my desire was to slow muscle loss (associated with aging) and change my body composition. Why 5 of 5 stars? 1. Results. 10.9% is the most recent bod-pod measured body fat percentage. It was >20%, And, I’ve added strength, not just slowed muscle loss. 2. Intensity and duration. The form of time invested matches my preferences. 3. Staff expertise. Each is professional, a model of fitness, attentive to my signals of muscle failure, and effective at eking out more effort. 4. Being recognized individually. It is nice to be known and to be among friends. 5. Credibility and predictability. Discover Strength has done the hard work of finding excellent and qualified trainers and developing a methodology which is delivered consistently and with great effect.

I have been a member of DS for almost 20yrs. It is the best, most challenging workout you will ever do. The instructors know their clients, and they are well trained and very professional. It is not just another workout in a gym... It is a unique strength training experience. If you have not tried it, you don't know what your missing.

I’ve been working with Discover Strength for only 3 weeks and I can’t be happier with how much better I feel, how much more toned and stronger that I’m becoming. Every trainer has met me where I’m at and pushes me to do more than I thought I could. Thank you Discover Strength!
