Weekend in Cleveland. First stop was recommended by my son, Connor. This Russian orthodox cathedral is considered one of the best, architecturally in the country. It's very nice . These "onion domes" are also seen on many of the Russian churches as well. The movie, The Deer Hunter, was filmed here.

Very pleasant informative Sub Deacon we came across today. The church is the oldest one in Cleveland and the patina looks superb.

You can see this Cathedral in the "Deer Hunter" movie with Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken and Meryl Streep.

September 2021: I have never attended this beautiful cathedral, but intend to do so one day. For now, I will appreciate the architecture, which is truly unique for the Tremont area.

Beautiful, historic Russian Orthodox church located off of Clark Avenue in Cleveland

I love the old world type architecture in this Church. I'm Russian Orthodox so this is where I can actually partake in communion, but they allow anyone to worship within their church. A really nice congregation attends service here. I don't go often enough. 😊

Why is the Divine Liturgy in ENGLISH? I thought this was a Traditionalist parish, why no Slavonic, Greek or Russky? Modernist heresy. The building is incredible however.

a wonderful priest and congregation. don’t just admire the outside of the church- go to a vesperal liturgy on saturday evenings or to the divine liturgy on sunday morning. you won’t regret it!
