Food was delicious. I enjoyed the menu selection. They have a build your own bloody Mary that could be accented with items as high tier as lobster. Only wish they had a kids menu, the portions of items even split in half was a bit more than we needed for them.

Maybe the best. No, the best French onion soup I have ever had! A refreshing salad and a lobster risotto just hit the spot. If you like unique cocktails, look no further. One sip and takes me to my happy place. Will be back for sure

I will NEVER go back to Char Bar. We ordered an egg for our burger and they charged us FOUR $4 for ONE 1 egg. So 1 egg for each burger cost us $8 total. I could buy a carton (12) eggs for $4. It is absolutely ridiculous to charge $4 for 1 egg.

Enjoyed my Waygu burger & rosemary truffle fries as well as a tasting of local bourbon. Service was efficient and I really liked the atmosphere. Nitpicks: - the burger was initially brought out with chips instead of the rosemary truffle fries I ordered but they fixed it quickly. - Whiskey tastings are basically by distillery, it would be more interesting to have tastings that mix distillery options to compare. - the blood orange cocktail was good but a little off balance for me. A little more sweetness would offset the tart flavor a bit better I think.

First time trying Char, really good and pretty drinks!!! Hey Jealousy is the pretty drink pictured with a flower in the large cube. Great Buffalo cauliflower.....and delicious chocolate cake!! And the Staff was very welcoming. I will return.

Super Cool Whiskey Bar in Cleveland. Food was great! I had the bruschetta with Barata cheese and the seafood pasta 🍝 🍤 - large enough to share!! Wide variety of Beer 🍺 — but the Double Oaked (Smoked) Barrel Woodford 🥃 was even better. (Sorry … forgot to take pics). A little expensive but worth the price 👍. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

First off, let me say how CLEAN this place was. I was very impressed by that and the cozy atmosphere immediately upon entering the establishment. No wait time, friendly staff, and lots of seating options. I got the lobster roll and my husband got the steak frites- we both took some home! Great portion sizes for the price. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will be back!

Nice atmosphere and friendly server. Lunch with mom and sisters. We decided to share. shared appetizers, salad, corn bread, pretzel, and burger. Tasty 😋 parked directly in front on street and easy access to front door.

Went here for our anniversary. We were seated promptly in a cute, private booth in the window. Our waiter was fantastic. Super friendly, helpful & professional. He was the only one waiting tables while we were there but he didn't seem overwhelmed. My husband got the Char burger & loved it. I got the steak frites. The steak was done the way I asked and it was delicious. However, I asked for a side of asparagus... I got 5 pieces of asparagus for $8. I think that's outrageous and had I known their sides weren't priced reasonably I never would've ordered it. We got the chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was amazing with the pecan ice cream! They offer a $10 2 oz whiskey pour in Wednesdays so we got that as well. Very good pour of old Forrester! That was a good deal but all their other normal whiskey prices were a bit high. The only other thing that I thought was disappointing... And this isn't a big deal but I miss the days when restaurants went above & beyond to make your special occasion celebrated. A free glass of champagne or small dessert used to be the norm. I even told the hostess it was our anniversary when I made the reservation. But I didn't deduct stars for that, that's just a side note. Stuff like that does make a difference.

I went to Char for the first time and loved it. I had the lobster rolls. They were delicious! My boyfriend the steak frites and enjoyed it. We also ordered the Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer. They were very good. The restaurant was very clean and we loved the causal vibe. We will definitely be back!

We had Maggie as our server and she was wonderful. So friendly and knowledgeable, and we were being such a pain and asking a million questions and she patiently and kindly answered them all! 10/10, she made the whole experience!
