We had a show to go to so we were limited on time. I picked this place based on the menu. My friend loved the gluten free options. It was a cute place. Our server was great at understanding our time constraints. I ordered the double bone pork chop and while the presentation was perfection, it definitely wasn't what I was expecting for the money. I was disappointed. It was very small compared to other restaurants with a double bone pork chop. Everything tasted great. My friend enjoyed her meal. We were in and out in plenty of time. I'd come back again and try something else.

The restaurant struggled to make a good impression from both the food and service. We never had empty glasses or plates cleared until I there was no space left in the table when the main course arrived. The wine was not brought with the main course and we were given a story about having to go and find it even though we could see the staff all standing chatting at the bar. Food was just ok but the presentation was pretty bad. Lamb was served in a square melamine bowl which made it very hard to cut. Beef had such a large serving of mashed potatoes that the sauce was almost overflowing the bowl.(again with the bowl!) I know it's trendy and fun but it is very hard to eat with a knife and fork. Restaurant is very busy on a Saturday pre theater and totally empty afterwards so definitely reserve a table for before 8pm.

Overall, my husband and I had a great experience! We ate here before the show “Six” at Playhouse Square. It took an hour for our food to arrive but we found out they had been closed for a month and it was their first night back. So we understood it takes a little while to get back into the swing of things. We had fried calamari with their special glaze on top which was good. My husband ordered the special of the night which he loved. I had the Statler chicken with a delicious white wine cream sauce.

Enjoyed dinner here for the first time before going to the theatre. The service was excellent! Every person we came in contact with was polite and cordial. Our meal was delicious and fresh! We had the Seafood Risotto and the Stuffed Salmon. We will definitely dine here again!

Our favorite restaurant in the theater district. It is so great to go to a restaurant where they Remember your name. Staff always friendly and professional. Menu has something for everyone and it has always been cooked perfectly. Timing is perfect never rushed but finished with enough time to get to seats for performance. We are so happy they were able to reopen after pandemic.

A real gem in the quiet city on the river. Excellent everything. Amazing tuna appetizer and the Caesar salad had the most excellent dressing. Yeah I know, Caesar dressing, but done unlike anything I have ever experienced. And Kudos to the old fashioned special.

I was really disappointed by my meal. Thankfully I ordered soup first. The lamb shank was covered in a giant piece of fat, but the meat was dry. I ordered a chopped salad and it had 2 cherry tomatoes, awful larden, and about a teaspoon of watery blue cheese dressing to cover 1/2 a head of lettuce. The service was good, but it was so loud and I won’t be returning. I wish I could post pictures.

My wife and I were looking for a place we could eat dinner last minute while downtown, but we also had our young son with us. Ron took care of us without hesitation. The service was great, the food was excellent (we had the Short Ribs and Statler Chicken) and we will definitely be back again the next time we are downtown.

The salmon was great and I had to try the fried green 🍅. Tony provided good service and was very informative and pleasant. Thank you for my first night in Cleveland dinner experience!

We really enjoyed a late lunch at The District. The service was amazing. I can’t say enough about the fried green tomatoes. Get them! Even if you’re not traditionally a tomato person. They’re fantastic. The beef brisket and the mango barramundi were excellent entrees. And the Fire & Ice and creme brûlée ... delicious.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant in theater district! Great food at a great price! The Short rib just falls apart and the calamari with the lemon aioli to die for! We will be back to try other menu items!

Everything was amazing from start to finish! My fiancé had the special of the night (Filet Oscar) and everything was so well done! I had the octopus which was delicious, my only issue was that it didn’t come with any carb, it would have been so good with some rice personally. Steven and Eric were amazing and made our experience all the better! Will definitely visit again!

Lovely restaurant, wasn't very busy when we came in (Friday night around 7p) but I think we arrived after showtime, which we were fine with! Server was lovely, had excellent recs, and immediately asked if we were attending a show so that we could get in and out efficiently. Bread was warm and fresh, and the variety of butters and the balsamic dipping sauce lasted us right up until our meal came. We had the brisket, short rib, and scallops and each was well prepared and delicious. While the scallop meal *looked* a little less substantial than the others it was amazing and I would order it again. Note that there are two dining rooms and we were seated in the dining room with thr bar, so it was a little noisier, but definitely fine. Lovely space, good ambiance, would recommend.

Excellent wine choices and dinner. Short ribs and pork chop were our choices. Try the maple white french dressing on a salad. Meals were fantastic and prices are very reasonable. Their only disappointment was dessert. The chocolate torte with luxardo cherry mousse was more like a chocolate candy bar with cool whip and some cocoa powder. So it was a great dinner that ended with a bit of a thud. We would go back but grab dessert somewhere else.

Fantastic place. The vibe hits right just before a show or event. Stop in your next opportunity. We will be back.

I can honestly say this is the best meal I've had in Cleveland for quite some time. Began with warm greeting as I entered and same warmth when I left. The menu is meat heavy, as I like I settled on the short ribs, lean, perfectly prepared and presented. My friend had the scallops, a bit on the small side but cooked correctly with a rice something, a risotto? in the center. It was so incredibly tasty, who needs the scallops. Specialty drinks were unique and good. I suggest Fire and Ice for dessert. Very chocolate heavy cake dessert filled with a chocolate center and vanilla ice cream on the side. Oh my! Have already made reservations for our next theatre trip

My husband and I have come here a few times, and every time the owner makes us feel so welcome and inviting! He comes by and has a conversation with you, which I love in an owner! He always recommends the best of you are torn between options on the menu! I definitely say that this is a MUST PLACE DINE IN if you are in Cleveland, especially for a Show! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

My daughter took our aunt, cousin and me to District as a treat before going to the theater. We arrived earlier than our reserved seating time, which was 2 hours before showtime. Unfortunately, our service appeared to be inconsistent with the service we observed others receiving. We watched as multiple tables that were seated after us, order after us and receive their meals before us. Our server would not address our concerns. We received our meals after speaking with the manager. This was 1 hour and 40 minutes after being seated and 10 minutes before we had to leave to get to the theater. We took a few bites of our food and boxed it up to leave. Despite this experience, we believe that District deserves four stars. Management listened and addressed our concerns in a timely manner. The food was delicious. The ambiance was friendly and inviting.

Have been to District numerous times before and had good experience. Last night, the food was not as good. The snapper was not fresh, the risotto had a different taste and texture, the brisket was too sweet. Something definitely was off.

Went with a group of 9 and everything turned out great. All the food was amazing. Mushroom risotto was my favorite.

The service is amazing. The chicken was dry and the potatoes had way too much garlic. Our server was amazing. So, if she ever sees this, this was the table of the 4 gentlemen who came in a tad bit underdressed and 1 (me) was wearing a white t shirt, bald head and beard. Thank you, you were wonderful.

This place has a laid back vibe, but I'd still very nice inside. It has a great location that is within walking distance of the parking garage as well as the playhouses downtown. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. Be sure to make a reservation as this is a small place and will easially full up if there is an event at playhouse square.
