Great place! Feels a bit “hole in the wall” but great food, great portion, and very reasonably priced. Only downside is , occasionally it can be a little slow to get your food. The kitchen has limited capacity and depending on takeout orders in queue you could be sitting there for 30+ minutes before you get your food. Usually it’s great - and it’s something would happen at any popular restaurant. Also food can be a little inconsistent - same dish, different days can range from amazing to meh. What I love is their tea. It’s loose leave, like what’d you’d get at Li Wah. It is much better than other Chinese places downtown like Sichuan Palace, Sichuan Hotpot, and Sichuan Restaurant, who’d just give you a pot with cheap teabags that tastes horrible. The tea compliments greatly with the Cantonese dishes they have, and really completes a meal. Also they give out orange slices at the end, which is a nice touch. Those quirks are what makes this place so unique and special, and keep me coming back for more. This is my most frequented restaurant in CLE. You can get stuffed with 2-3 dishes and have enough leftovers for 2 more meals. Love this place.

Great place to have a sit down dinner with your family. The place fills up very quick. I like how there are pictures of the menu on the wall makes it simplified when ordering a dish gives you an idea of what it looks like. Best time to go is about 7pm. Their food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. Sometimes they are short staff so have a little patience. The owner and the staff are very friendly. They close at 9pm.

Food is good. Price is fair. And they developed an upstairs Chinese BBQ areas. But one huge problem. I did carry out, and all the steaming hot food are in styrofoam containers. Look up what kind of stuff gets released when styrofoam’s gets in contact with hot food. The ones I got was so hot that the styrofoam container bottom was sagging. So 5star for the food 1 stars for those containers.

Good food here! I love that they post all the dishes with the pictures on the wall. The service is quick and efficient, and the food is delicious. I would probably recommend it more as a takeout place, but still worth a visit!

Feels like you're stepping into another world. Old school decor. But don't be fooled, the food is great. The fried rice was not too salty and simply made. The governor chicken was tasty and I had leftover for lunch.

The good: Portion sizes are massive. The attached photo is a sesame chicken combo--after I ate two servings. The food was tasty and well-prepared. The bad: I ordered through UberEATS and was disappointed with requests. I asked for fried, instead of steamed, pot stickers. They came steamed and soft, with a minimum of toasting on one side. Also, I asked for extra sauce for the dumplings. The other photo is the total amount of sauce I received. The ugly: Predatory charges on UberEATS. I asked for two substitutions. One was for vegetable fried rice, instead of pork. Second was the above-mentioned dumpling sauce. Originally, when I saw the adjustment, I thought there was a misunderstanding and that I had received both the usual pork fried rice and vegetable fried rice with my combos. That was fine, maybe I wasn't clear that it was a substitution. This was not the case. Looking at Wonton Gourmet's menu, vegetable and pork fried rice are the same price. A little teriyaki sauce is a negligible cost. Yet, I was charged $5 in adjustments for my substitutions. This restaurant is a little pricey, in my opinion, to begin with, but this pushed it beyond reasonable. Businesses taking advantage of the anonymous nature of online ordering is unconscionable.

I had a great lunch at Wonton Gourmet. The hot and spicy beef and noodles were great. So was the chicken fried rice. I would definitely go back.

This was my go to place when I lived in the area. It’s hard to find food that taste like this now. I loved the Szechuan vegetables.

The wontons didn’t have much filling in them, although I’m not sure if that’s just how they really are in authentic Chinese cuisine, but in any case they were delicious, and the broth in the wonton soup was very flavorful. The deep fried pork intestine had a nice, crispy exterior and was tender and chewy inside - just the way I like it. The salted fish and chicken fried rice was great as well. It had the right amount of salted fish, and every time you put a spoonful that contained the fish in your mouth the explosion of flavor is so wonderfully intense. The baked salted pork chop with chili garlic had a perfectly seasoned breading, very tender, and the garlic, chili, salt and pepper mix made it pop even more. As a bonus, everything was so very reasonably priced.

Best take-out or dine in Chinese i've had in Cleveland. The portions are HUGE and prices I feel are fair for what you get. Been ordering and picking my own up there for several years now.

Food is very good. Both authentic Chinese food and americanized Chinese food can be found on the menu. The price is also very reasonable and volume is big. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Cleveland. Going there reminds me of the 90s in the Cantonese areas.

Ive been to this place several times and it is a small hole in the wall family business with authentic food. The photos of food is the menu. We tried many dishes and some more superior than others. House wontons are delicious! Mapo tofu with pork also rocks, Tung kai garlic veggies also great. We also tried the hot chili fried chicken and it was amazing. The beef chow fun dry is tasty and easy for kids to eat with no spice as are the crab ragoons. We had the eggplant dish which was ok. Also tried the fried rice which is standard fare. We wanted to try the hot and spicy fried fish but it is 35 min to make. Beef with broccoli was also standard. Can't wait to try the Hong Kong style wonton soup with egg noodles next.

We were supposed to go on a different restaurant but got lost on this one and we’re happy we did. Love the food, reasonably priced, big portions. Highly recommended. Another favorite on my list.

The food was really good. The dishes we ordered were a bit too oily, but that you can expect from a Chinese food place. If you are looking for a place in terms of ambience, I wouldn't recommend it as it is a bit cramped in. But the food were delicious, especially the beef pepper gravy. The wonton dumplings are a must try.

food was enjoyable. cleveland has a historic chinese presence in the city dating back to the 1890s when they came to the city to work on the railroads. this place feels somewhat historic. currently they are renovating the place so its carry out only. the potstickers were cooked just right and the egg drop soup was comforting.

One of authentic Cantonese cuisine you can find in Cleveland. The portions are big and prices are reasonable. Pictures of dishes in wall makes it easier to order if unfamiliar with dishes
