How this place is not rated higher is beyond me. Would eat here again. I'm from Toledo,Ohio and would definitely come back. Customer service was spot on, maybe there is a code word like: hi or thank you that you can use to get good service.... You won't be disappointed

Id give 5 stars for the food we ordered, everything was fresh and seasoned well. The atmosphere was quiet and we enjoyed the music. We didnt order any drinks here, so since this is a bar Id have to know what the drinks are like before i give another star. We will return and make sure its worth the hype!! Loved the alligator!!

My husband and I didn’t plan to eat here but we could smell the food from the street so we thought we would give it a try. I ordered brisket with collard greens, and sweet potato casserole. My hubby got Polish boy. My dish came with corn bread. The brisket was juicy and the spicy BBQ sauce had the right amount of heat. The service was a bit slow but it was just one lady to do everything from taking order, bartending, etc. Overall we liked it here. I hope you give them a try.

First time here and we will be back. Great neighborhood lots of place near by. Small intimate dining with full bar. Food was great prices even better. Staff were friendly. I had fried fish, mac and greens delicious, mac was ok we did get peach cobbler we didnt eat it. Was soggy and didnt really have a taste but all in all definitely will recommend.

Every time I come here the food is delicious and fresh !!! I use to love that they had turkey ribs but I guess they no longer serve that😩 but we ordered the orange roughy and shrimp . We had mashed potatoes( first time trying it and we didn’t really like those ) but we ended up getting more greens and Mac and cheese ! We also got sweet chi chili wings which were good as well. We shared everything lol . Definitely recommend this place . The waiters are always nice too.

I love this neighborhood gem. The food is always good and you can sit there and watch the game at the bar or spend time with a group at a table. The rib and wings are favorites of mine. The gator bites are a great addition and separate it from your average rib joint. The bar is fully stocked and the service is great.

I’m giving a 3 star because I don’t know if it was an off night or if I’m just use to NC BBQ. I got the pulled pork and it was swimming in grease. The red beans(not read beans but pintos) and rice were sour. The only thing that was eatable was the collard greens. It was definitely not worth the almost $30.00 I paid for it.

THIS BBQ IS THE FINAL LOCAL AUTHORITY ON BBQ!.... Seriously... you will remember this review the moment you try the food. All of it not just the Amazing ribs.. personally I think you should try the Greens with your rib choice. You'll never want for any other. Go..Treat yourself Next time you are in Ohio city.

Food was just not great. Waited for a very long time and it was bad to decent at best. Lettuce was inedible, completely wilted, fries were undercooked, brisket was chewy. Service was friendly, but had too many customers to handle alone and could not pay enough attention.

Not even sure where to begin, ordered brisket and it was easily the worst brisket I’ve even had the privilege of being served. Literally half of it was pure fat, and it looks like someone threw it on the grill top to warm it up, and lacked any kind of flavor. My son had the jerk brisket burger and he said it was extremely salty. If I had one good thing to say it’s that the collard greens were tasty. Avoid this place and save your money, they got me for $70.

Great service but The mac and cheese and greens should be taken off the menu. The greens weren't seasoned and the mac and cheese tasted like it wasn't baked, It had a weird consistency. Honestly, Zanzibar has better sides. Other than that, the food is okay but It’s definitely not the same as It used to be. :(

The food was terrible. The fries wasn’t cooked and the orange roughy sandwich was dry and over seasoned on the outside. The tomatoes and lettuce was brown and very wet. The bun was hard I couldn’t eat it. That was my first and last time eating there.

My cornbread wasn’t done to where I could roll up the cornbread around in balls🤮🤢the red beans n rice was all beans as u see. The Mac taste like box sharp Mac n cheese. I came a time before and the yams was nasty n not done. The bartender was great with good customer service 👍🏾. But they are nothing like how they use to be back in the day.

AMAZING FOOD AND GREAT VIBES ALL AROUND! It’s the closest thing I can find in Ohio to true southern food. Definitely recommended getting the candied yams as a side to anything (specifically with the fried catfish)

The service was great! There were 8 of us who stopped in after a wedding and we got a seat with no problem. I ordered the rib tips for an appetizer and the 4 wing dinner with Mac n cheese and collard greens. The rib tips tasted mediocre at best. I did like how they fell off the bone. The max n cheese was absolutely horrible (4 of us ordered it and nobody ate more than a bite or 2) the wings were just ok and the collard greens were pretty good.

Food was awesome! Was in Cleveland and wanted bbq, and this looked like the juiciest meat in town.... Definitely delivered on the meats!! Food came out in a good time and was fire👌 Not a dry piece of meat in sight! Yams were great, mac was great, and cornbread was nice and moist.🔥 Highly reccomend

Wow!! What an excellent experience start to finish! First time going there and the food was amazing!! Greens were excellent, mac n cheese is sooo yummy! The fried perch was seasoned to perfection. Brisket was so tender, the coleslaw..IMPRESSIVE!! Everything was amazing!! Def will be back!!
