Great place to bring you children. Although this learning center is closed for now, still a great place walk and hike. Can access the Towpath from here. Also have a bike and hike there. Porta-Potty on-site

Always a great walk here. Paved paths and great views of the canal and river as well. Never know what wildlife you will see.

A great place to go for a long bike ride, or fish in the Cuyahoga River, or ride their brand new (as of 2022) pump track. Whether you're from Ohio or not, it's definitely a place to visit. But beware, a place this good is bound to be busy. So either expect it to be busy or chose the time you go, wisely.

Canal way center has exhibits of local wildlife and interactive things for kids to do. The outside has labled gardens and a little pond. There are tons of trails to chose from. From bike trails to the off beaten paths. The blue heron boardwalk is really neat. Check it out if you come here. It is wooden planks that extend into Marsh lands. It looks like you are walking in the middle of Lilly pad heaven. You will see alot of frogs and turtles. Please do not try to catch them though. Oils in our skin are harmful to them and can kill them so just look! You can even see the blue huron! There is a lot to do and you can make a whole day out of exploring the center and the trails.

The center is very nice, staff is helpful and friendly, lots of cute displays. The signage in the brochure and outdoors for the paths could be clearer, but once you get going it's good. The blue heron boardwalk leads to a lovely view of (only) weeds which was disappointing but a nearby path has a view of a nice little pond.

This is one of the nicest nature centers in the county! I highly recommend taking kids of any age and exploring the little trails behind the center if they are dry!

Just had an absolutely horrid experience with the staff here. We had our unschooling coop here today (several families with kids from 1yr to 11 were with us). One of the kids dropped a (toy) potato on the floor and began walking away. Joann yelled at him for not picking it up right away. She claimed the kids weren't following the rules and deserved to be yelled at for it. Zero communication with the kids. Zero communication with the parents. We're*literally* the only people here the entire time and she's yelling at kids about a potato on the floor. Alex (Joanns boss?) kept saying that they have standards that need to be followed and that kids can't play (despite calling 2 locations "play areas") here. Again, zero communication or relaying any "rules" to kids or the adults. No kids breaking anything, disrupting any guests (there werent any anyway). Just zero to yelling "HELLO!!! PICK UP THE POTATO!!!" at a child. We were here a few weeks ago (same group), and stayed and cleaned the place, including sweeping and vacuuming, so the staff member could leave right at closing. We take care of the places we are and always leave it cleaner than we find it. Every place we go welcomes us and thanks us when we leave. This place, today, left an absolutely disgusting taste in my mouth and don't think we'll be coming back.

This has got to be the best nature center in the Metroparks. Alex did a great job on the Eagle Cart Tour and we enjoyed seeing all the live animals at the center, including a Bald Eagle and Red Tailed Hawk.

Excellent learning center, especially for children. Staff is more than willing to educate and talk. Educational activities and events are consistent, inclusive, and involved in a person way, no matter who is running it. Incredible place, I am genuinely grateful it exists.

If you are full of stressors in your life, this will be like a getaway for a small vacation sort of speaking for your peace of mind, it's very therapeutic one's inner peace and balance.

I just went to a baby shower at CanalWay Center, which is in the Cleveland Ohio Metro Parks at Cuyahoga Hts, and it was one of the best experiences ever. My family and I ha e been visiting g the metro parks for over 50 years and have started the next 2 generations to do so as well. Cleveland has the best park system in the country ( and I have lived in seven states). Our park system never ceases to amaze me because there is always a new treasure to be found.

Great place for a quick jog. It's about 2 miles from parking down around the loop and back to your car. The shrine to the petroleum tanks was a horrific surprise. As were the energy pipelines that stretch across the river and the petroleum markers warning that they are under ground as well. But *shrugs* this is Ohio right? I'm not posting pics of the shrine so y'all can go see for yourself. There's even a small lap to show how big the tanks are. Some national parks showcase actual natural resources, this one's crowns petroleum.

This is a great nature center for all ages. The hunt of the month is a fun way to explore the space. The interactive toys and books gets the kids out of their shells.

This is the most dirtiest museum I’ve visited with my family spiderwebs behind the chairs behind the exhibit dirt in corners, dirt in the eating area in corners. Please claim your museum Cove it is still around. People are still getting sick and dying. Entrance to the museum. Looks like it’s never been cleaned spiderwebs all in the entranceway dirt in the entranceway

Nice place to bring family. Lots of exhibits. Kids love the general store and the old tree. Nice clean place except for the patio/eating area. Crumbs under tables, dirty tables, dirty window seals and lots of spider webs. This area could use some attention especially when people eat out here.

Great lodge for adults and kids. Can't miss the bike park!

Great walking/running/hiking trails, an awesome nature center too. But the best part is the outdoor BMX pump track. Clean restrooms. And it's all FREE! There's even some spots to get some fishing in. Expect the pump track to be busy during the weekends, especially if the weather's nice.

Good place to walk arround, bike, picnic or fishing. Been going there for over 5 yrs. VERY PRETTY, SENIC. You can also watch CSX TRAINS from the parking lot or down below in the VALLEY going over the high level bridge.

Came here today 3/31 for walk with children. Stopped in to use restroom mens restroom smelled like pee. A good sweeping and mopping would help. Spider webs in corner of walls. Really needs a good cleaning.

Was here over the weekend, we been coming here for years. Glad your back open and family enjoyed exhibits and walking in the woods. Needs a little cleaning looks like no one ever cleans the floor in the sitting area, dirt in corners, window seals dirty. Took the kids to restroom Please do a better job sanitizing the restrooms. Little ones like touching everything. Overall one of my favorite places to visit.

Love these trails. Very pretty. Part of Metro parks I gave it 4 stars because sometimes teens/young adults are running four wheelers there.
