Emergency department needs a revamp. The doctor was empathetic and the technician was awesome. They will not contact your specialist team which is their responsibility here. They literally have no communication and they're very inefficient. The biggest issue is Stephanie their nurse. She is rude, irresponsible, she is not someone who should be in charge of people's care when she does not care. I was told to go to another location and berated for being here. I hope they read this she needs to go somewhere else because she alone is screwing the hospital. I will not return they should be ashamed

Untill the new facility is up and running this place is very quite and actually very relaxing to come too. Free valet parking as well. Something that is so unheard of for a Cleveland Clinic Facility. No one should ever have to pay for parking at a hospital.

ATTENTION: Dr. Satya Munzar, MD I had the worst experience that I have ever had in my life with a "doctor!" Satya Munzar, MD would be her name. I had a virtual visit scheduled. This would be my first time ever doing a virtual visit so I wasn't sure how it would go, nonetheless I never expected the experience that I had. I waited 20 minutes for Satya Munzar, MD to join the Zoom call, in which she joined from the comfort of her home. From the moment she arrived on screen I thought she was on mute because she wasn't talking and looked so distracted, I was the first one to say hello and ask her how she was doing and how her day was, she answered with, "unfortunately still working!" Well hello to you too and wow nice to meet you doctor.. what a nice first impression. She was automatically short and pretty much wanted to know what I wanted there was zero how are you, can you give me some background on you, or tell me what you hope to accomplish today. I began to explain I am a RN currently and am going back to school for my NP that I would be losing the insurance that I currently have at the end of November and was hoping to get some routine lab work ordered since I have not had any in well over a year, that was also required for a upcoming elective surgery after working so hard to lose 150 pounds the last 3 years. I also inquired about a possible hormonal panel if at all possible. Right then and there she cut me off and said, "I don't even know what all a hormonal panel consists of" I then proceeded to ask her to give me a couple minutes and I would look up the specific labs that are included in a hormonal panel on Google for "her LOL" to tell her what it consisted of. This "doctor" tells me those test are for "rich people" and she would not be ordering them and legitimately tells me "Boo, people like you are exactly what the problem is with the world, making it hard for people like me that comes to this country and actually needs help/assistance but can't get it because of you people take advantage!" Needless to say I was beyond astonished and came right back at this "doctor" and ask her very nicely so doctor are you telling me I abuse America because I worked so hard to lose all the weight, work on my mental health, overcame suicide, and have been suffering with being on my menstrual cycle for 2-3 weeks every single time, constantly fatigued, depression creeping back in, severe stomach cramps, dizziness, and brain fog. She states "Boo, I'll say it again you are what's wrong with the world, people that actually needs help can't get it because of people like you and to think I was going to order your little labs for your cosmetic surgery not now bye boo." And proceeds to disconnect the Zoom call. A couple hours later I get the "follow up summary" from my "visit" she puts in for the diagnosis inappropriate behavior that I verbally abused her and was racially attacking her??!!!! Oh my goodness me! Are you honestly kidding me right now?! This has to be a joke??! I verbally attacked her and was racist?? I will be taking every single measure to make sure we can get this Zoom call pulled and let it speak for itself "Boo!" Falsifying medical diagnosis of stuff that never happened or was never said to COVER her end! The level of lies, disrespect and unprofessional behavior absolutely will not be tolerated. It is un telling how many times Dr. Satya Munzar has got by with falsifying medical records with her lies and treating people like scum because why???! Not with me "Boo" lol what's with the doctor calling me Boo??!! What in the name of God elicited such condescending nasty behavior from a "professional!" Cleveland Clinic you need to hold Dr. Satya Munzar, MD accountable for her lies and behavior! She legitimately lied and falsely claimed incorrect diagnosis yet ironically what she said happened is exactly what her behavior was LOL?! I am completely shocked. Disgusting. Boo you will not get by with another patient taking "your abuse" what kind of doctor are you?!

It’s the worst emergency room to go to, all of the doctors and nurses are mean and they speak to the patients so rude and disrespectfully. It’s called an emergency room for a reason and that means the patient has come to have immediate care because they’re having an emergency and are in excruciating pain that can’t be waited for. We’re living in Lakewood and whatever the type of health emergency case me or any member of my family had, we go there and we wait over the 30 minutes in the waiting room and way longer than that to actually be seen or spoken to by anyone. One time they let me wait in the emergency room and the nurses outside talking and laughing and having fun while I was in so much pain and today with my sister’s issue we waited over 30 minutes in the waiting room and no one came to check her up or show any kind of empathy towards the pain she was in. Unfortunately at the Cleveland Clinic in Lakewood all they care about is the how they’re going to make their money and they prioritize getting your healthcare information faster than taking care of the patients. I hope everyone who has had a similar experience with Cleveland Clinic is able to write a complaint to let their voices be heard and stop that kind of careless of the patient’s sufferers.

DONT COME HERE. GO ELSEWHERE!!! Trust me when I say don’t come to this facility. The staff here are absolutely terrible. I would never ever say this about another professional if it were not for the abundance of terrible experiences I’ve had with this facility and the staff. I will be avoiding this facility as best as I can in the future because of these experiences. They have refused to see me when I have arrived within half of my appointment time, and specifically the Medical Assistant DEVAN S is a terrible public servant and as a fellow public servant I feel especially bothered by her responses and her lack of empathy. I have contacted the ombudsman regarding her behavior and will be seeking that she be reprimanded for the way she treats patients, so hopefully others can be saved from having to be seen by her. DONT GO HERE!

Came into the emergency room to be seen due to a with a lump on my spine (shoulder as well) and with a lot of pain. They were informed that I’ve also had a previous surgery on my shoulder rotator cup and ligaments. Took 4 hours to take 3 X-Ray pictures to tell me “looks fine take some Tylenol” with not even a recommendation to see my primary care doctor or even an MRI. Not a single person had a sense of compassion or care, especially after I explained to them I have a history with my shoulder.

I have been with my doctor since I was 18 and pregnant with my first. I followed the office when they moved here. I love my doctor(s). It’s more the reception, people who make appointments anymore that I’m on the verge of finding a new physician. This has happened more than once where I have made an appointment for the next day to get all the way to the office to find that my appointment I was told I was out in for is non existent. Seriously!! I also have family that goes here as well and this has happened to her too. I think the entire staff that deals with that needs training.. again.

Family medicine is excellent here. They're very knowledgeable. It's a teaching hospital, so that's also a plus. I have chronic health issues and my experience getting primary care from the Family Medicine Drs at Lakewood Hospital had been incredibly helpful. They're straightforward, explain thoroughly, and are no-nonsense. I like their emphasis on more holistic care, and making sure the body treats itself (with help the medicine) instead of over-relying on medical treatment. However, when you do have a serious issue (I had blood clots in my legs and lungs unexpectedly). They are quick to get you seen and cared for, even if you get jumpy and become nervous from the experience, they're more than patient with you. I've never been to this ER so I can't say. Hence the 4 stars. Staff is always helpful too, I've never had a bad experience. Same with labs.

Lost my appointment then said my insurance (medical mutual) was not “in network” and would cost over $400 to see the doctors. The woman working the main desk in the lobby couldn’t even have the decency to look me in the eyes as she dismissed me. Just don’t go here…rude and dismissive would be the 2 words I’d use to describe this place.

I was told my appointment was at "Lakewood Family Medical Center". That was where I went. When I arrived they told me I was at the wrong one. Apparently there's another "Lakewood Family Medical Center" at a completely different building, because that was the one they made my appointment for. Oddly irritating and inconsiderate. This was the final straw for me with the Cleveland Clinic, due to multiple incidents of scheduling incompetence over the years.

I can see why there's never anyone in this emergency department all of the staff there are stubborn ignorant people. I called and asked to speak with a nurse or a Dr. The person that answered then said how can I help you as if he was one, no matter what I asked him he told me I cannot give you that information over the phone. Why wouldn't you tell me that in the first place instead of putting me through the ringer, I even told him I was going through a panic attack and he got angry with me over the phone and kept giving me short quick answers like he didn't want to be on the phone. There are certain protocols in every hospital for people with PTSD and severe anxiety like me and this guy did the exact opposite I'm not sure what his name was and if I asked I don't think I would have gotten it this phone call was to the emergency department around 8:50 p.m. Monday July 25th.

I would have given it five stars, but for the security theater / metal detector . Guard took my lighter and demanded a tip. j/k I guess its normal in this day and age but that doesn't mean I have to like everybody operating from a basis of distrust.

Horribly rude. Went in to see if I could have another appointment since mine is tomorrow and you’re not allowed to bring children with you because of Cleveland clinic’s covid protocols and the woman was rude and on her phone and completely ignored me. Will never come back

They should be a little more considerate to children in the office! When someone comes in with a vary young toddler maybe don’t make them sit in a room forever for there kid to tantrum because of the wait! my appointment was at 2:20 and I still haven’t seen a doctor by 3:17!

I went to CC Lakewood for allergy testing. They failed to inform me that insurance barely covers this. I got a surprise $2100 bill in the mail two weeks later. I filed a complaint with the ombudsman office and they said there’s “nothing they could do” because the good faith estimate law apparently only applies if you’re paying out of pocket. Now I’m in credit card debt and my doctor didn’t even use the information from the allergy testing to inform my treatment. Never going to any CC office again if I can help it.

Beware of Dr Kristen Ekman . She lacks empathy and her lack of care for me as a female patient has left me with sky high bills to remove an IUD she carelessly placed. During her exam, she had the gall to scold me for not requesting an ultrasound to make her job easier. She is a monster. Beware.

After being called from the waiting room nearly 30 minutes late by the intake nurse, I then waited another 30 minutes in a small windowless exam room for the medical resident to enter. The resident left after her exam to consult with the preceptor and I waited alone again in that confined space. After 30 minutes of that, I left the room to tell someone that I had to go home. I was hurriedly discharged and left there feeling that I was not given the appropriate tests snd attention to my health care issues. Over two hours spent there and most of that time was spent waiting in a small windowless exam room!!! This is PATIENT ABUSE! This place suffers from poor management and accountability! Going to the Clinic's Ombudsmen to express my complaints was another frustrating experience..but that's another story!

This is my first time writing a review. I had to take a close friend of mine to the emergency room, he needed to see a neurologist cause we thought he was having a stroke. Only for the neurologist to show up on zoom and have the nurse try to fix the wifi as he was “evaluating him” I was frankly disgusted that this was the evaluation. This doctor, this institution and this country should be ashamed for having this be the new standard. Evaluating a patient who shows up as emergency through zoom?? You have to be kidding me. As citizens, we need to demand better.

The clinic used to be great but it now absolutely sucks. The lab here is an absolute joke. I handed them a script for blood work and they messed it up THREE times. Incompetency at it’s absolutely finest they are unable to read the most simple of orders— causing me to have to return 3 times in order to get the proper tests done, and causing major delays in time sensitive treatments I was to receive.

don't go here, find some place more specialized. I scheduled to meet with a therapist months in advance, and I got a message in the morning stating "the doctor will be busy at that time" and "I can do it later, move it from 1pm to 6pm." Okay, I think, easy enough, so I call. The first person, Christopher, says the next available appointment is in the middle of March, then leaves me on hold for 30 minutes. I hang up and call back, and the next person informs me that the office is actually closed and I have to call back the day before my original appointment. I asked for the number, and she gave me the number I was already calling. This place can do better, and other places already do

As a Lakewood resident I am ashamed to call this place our hospital. Every single person inside of this building is incompetent, lazy and rude. The security to the doctors to the nurses never have I ever had a good experience here. The security guards think they own the place while the doctors and nurses play house in the back. Every time I come here there’s some sort of drama going on in the ER. Security on the other hand needs an ego check. I don’t know if it’s Rent-A-Cop syndrome or just pure laziness. This place needs to change. I don’t know why they’re called an emergency room anytime something extreme walks in that door they send it to Fairview or metro.
