A great place for tasty food. Loved the atmosphere. They had a band when we dined in. The staff was very nice and helpful. I loved that they were very knowledgeable about their items on the menu. We were there middle of the day so they weren’t busy at all. I’ve driven by during the weekend morning and there is always people waiting to be sited. We order a few drinks and a couple of their plates. All of it was very tasty and warm. They didn’t take long to provide our food. The server always checked in with us through out our meal. Definitely going back and recommending.

Excellent food and top notch wait staff! This was our first (and hopefully not last) visit to Kingside. There was a wait but the text service made it easy to explore the area while waiting for our table. The staff was kind and so accommodating for our hours of 9. We tried several things including the King Late, The Johnny Cash, Damn Delicious and Strawberry Shortcake French toast. It was all very good. In addition to the great food we left a purse at the table and when we went back they had put it away so we could retrieve it. We all definitely recommend this place and Howe to come back another time when we are in STL.

Had cheesy biscuits and gravy, added hash browns. Had French toast. Drank coffee and cranberry mimosa. Quick and friendly service, food was prepared well. I wish hash browns were a bit crispier. Everything else was good. Wish biscuits had been split open-the gravy wasn’t my favorite but I can’t say it was bad..just not for me. Would visit again and try some other things.

Food and service was amazing! The best pancakes I've tasted. The meet me in STL skillet was good also. Not much of a meat eater so I got the meat on the side. Mimosas flight was great also. Hostess and Waiter/Bartender was very nice. Even the staff that brought food out was nice and brought everything we asked for. I will definitely be back!

This place will become a favorite. To bee or not to bee, yum. Strawberry shortcake, yum. Biscuits and gravy, so yum. And they have flights of mimosas! Our server was amazing! It is busy so expect to wait for a little bit but totally worth it.

This place was absolutely amazing. Our server, Phil, truly made the the experience. His recommendations were on point, the drinks he made were delicious, and he was really attentive + personable. They have chess sets that you can bring to the table to play while waiting for your food. We didn’t even get mid way into the game before our order came out, though! They whipped it up quick and it was all scrumptious. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We will definitely be back thanks to Phil and the delicious food + drinks.

I ordered the veggie hash and the to be or not to be French toast and it was delicious!! I loved all of it! The server was okay. I think she had too many tables but overall she was nice that’s why I gave her a 4/5. Other than that everything else was a 5/5 for me.

We stopped by for early Sunday breakfast. With 6 people, we got strayed right away. Staff were nice. Our server Brittany was a rockstar. She’s very friendly and helpful. Food didn’t take long at all to cook. Hash brown was my favorite. Parking is street parking. If you are a chess fan, you gonna love this place. Highly recommended.

We were visiting from out of town. Our wait time was about 45 minutes however a waitress saw our 12 yr old struggling to stand as we didn't bring his wheelchair in due to room. She seates us right away. We all absolutely loved our food choices. The speciality coffees were The King and Queen and they were delicious. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and versed in the menu. She was having some goof laughs with the college kids behind us too! It was such a great atmosphere. Felt very comfortable!

I had the Meet Me in St. Louie skillet. I subbed all the meat for turkey and chicken. It was delicious and filling. I also tried the Strawberry Shortcake French Toast. I didn’t like sweet cream drizzle that came with it. It wasn’t sweet at all. The waitress recommended we try the mascarpone glaze and it was so good. This was our first time and we will be back!

Went to the Kingside Diner in the Central West End for lunch. I like getting breakfast for lunch so I ordered “Make Your Move”. It came with two eggs, hash browns, choice of meat, and toast. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly with no runny eggs. My hash browns were crispy. For my choice of meat I went with ham. It was a mini ham steak that was grilled in butter. It was exceptional. For my bread I went with wheat toast. The food came to the table hot. They have an outdoor patio but it wasn’t open because it wasn’t warm enough. Parking in the Central West End can be challenging. I recommend parking in the lot across the street on Maryland.

Great food and beverage selections. Outdoor patio seating in addition to nicely decorated indoor area. Great waitstaff. Only complaint is open hours. Came by on two different occasions only to find they were closed.

Huge, heavy, satisfying portions. This trip is probably going to pad an extra five pounds on my body for a couple of weeks, partly thanks to the precedent set by this breakfast. The food is dang good, with perfectly crispy bacon and truly excellent pancakes. My husband got some kind of monstrosity involving a croissant, bacon, egg, and gravy. I didn't try it, but he insisted it was good. And those hashbrowns. I wish I could have doused them in ketchup, but despite my dietary limitations, they were incredibly tasty.

This was our first time eating here, while passing through and visiting the Arch. The whole family loved it! Our party of 5 was seated right away (Thurs morning), our waitress was awesome, and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend the lattes as well, we had a mocha latte and a caramel latte and they were both SO good! The place is really cute and has shopping all around. We will definitely come back anytime we are in the area.

First, the service was very good. The place is nice. We sat on the patio. Dog friendly. Lovely. But the food was not good. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast. For $16 it was the smallest CFS I have ever seen. And just a little dollop of sausage gravy. The flavor was good, but the meat didn’t appear to be steak. I think it was a hamburger. The menu stated 5oz. As a chef I know my protein weights by sight. This MAY have been 3 ounces at most. Look at the photo! Truly disappointing. My partner ordered the avocado toast ($14). It was whole grain bread with the thinnest layer of mashed avocado, a drizzle of balsamic, and scrambled eggs. If you’re going to call it “avocado toast” you better put enough avocado to taste it. Again, truly disappointing. For the prices you should be full when you leave. Nope. Not even close. Won’t be back.

The food was good. Service was good. I went in the morning, so the atmosphere was chill. Nice lil neighborhood to walk around and walk off the food afterwards.

We had a great time there. Great atmosphere. The servers were friendly, and the food was good. Some very minor mishaps on the food, but it was inconsequential. We had a large order. Still very delicious!

I was looking for a restaurant to pick up dinner and chose Kingside Diner CWE (After Dark). The server that took my order was friendly, helpful, and put my order for Shrimp and Grits right in! Sadly, I never tasted the dish. I was so turned off when I opened the brown paper to-go box in my car. It smelled like nothing but onions and looked unappetizing. I drove somewhere else to pick up dinner. And yes, I realize it was a to-go order, but there has to be different to-go container for Shrimp and Grits. I will try them again, but only for the breakfast or brunch menu.
