😐 Cute little place for breakfast. The coffee was good. The almond croissant was definitely overrated. Nice service. Essentially a nice little cafe but it was a little over hyped and overrated.( People often mention coffee, good, nice, staff, friendly, shop, work, great, visit, seating,

Thank you very much to the server for perfectly adjusting to my needs. He is very welcoming, smiling at me from start to finish. He certainly made this place well known to all. The food and coffee were all delicious and very cheap. I really recommend this coffee shop to everyone.

True coffee professionals in NY are hard to come by simply because baristas can’t survive in this city. Britney and Luis were exceptionally well-informed about each coffee’s flavor profile and process. I had the Gesha Village which was brewed perfectly with no astringency. Excellent customer service tied it all together. Great job hiring exceptional staff to showcase exceptional coffee.

Great place to have a good coffee. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, free and fast wi-fi. Early in the morning is the perfect time to pass by and have a great coffee and do some work or studies stuff. Comfortable tables with power outlets. By the way, they have great gluten free options of food too.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the area! The staff are beyond friendly and always in a good mood. The inside seating area is cozy and clean and the new outdoor seating area is great for when the weather is nice. The coffee itself is always exceptional. Personally I think you can’t go wrong with a flat white and an almond croissant. I can’t recommend Coffee Project enough, especially if you live in the area!

Almost hidden coffee shop on Rockwell place The cappuccino is legit. Creamy and smooth. 8/10 worth it. Black sesame latte is decent 7/10 Definitely has flavor but not that strong and the bottom of your cup will be clumpy. Yemen coffee is very floral and fruity in flavor but also very expensive. It’s the best black coffee if you’ve never had it. 7/10

The cortado was a solid choice. Definitely well made by the friendly staff/barista. The location has enough seating area but was definitely busy with people using the area for work and the like. Besides coffee plenty of pastries and small bites were offered as well as branded merchandise such as tote bags and cups.

Great spot to do some work, solid internet connection (though it gets busy with a bunch of people staying and doing work in their computers). Food is good, interesting menu items. Only gave 4 out of 5 because they aren't super accommodating about substitutions.

I found this place and was enthused by the ample seating, outlets, and good wifi! The vibe is nice too, with brick and wood furnishings, open air and nice giant windows for natural lighting, high ceilings, and chill music. I got the cold brew and it was one of the better ones I've had. The baristas were also quite nice and quick

As a freelancer I work in coffee shops alot. During my visit to NYC I found this place and was enthused by the ample seating, outlets, and good wifi! The vibe is nice too, with brick and wood furnishings, open air and nice giant windows for natural lighting, high ceilings, and chill music. I got the cold brew and it was one of the better ones I've had. The baristas were also quite nice and quick. One guessed my Astro sign on the 2nd try! Got good work done here, including writing this review haha.

Delicious coffee. Some of the best coffee I've ever had (coming from someone who is picky about coffee). The muffin was tasty too, but the actual coffee itself was brewed fantastically.

Not a flop but not my fav. Coffee was okay, service was slightly average. I do love that they’re checking vax info for seating though. Where is the sign outside too?! Overall kind of a weird vibe. Pumpkin spice muffin was not good and nor were other pastries - none of them seemed fresh.

Great spot for your Caffeine needs, pastries (almond croissant is a must) and small bites. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Ambience is great for meeting a friend or just having a latté while reading a book.

A really nice relaxing place. I recommend the Slow Bar so that you can enjoy a delicate pour-over. Drinks much more like a tea than a coffee, which was delightful. The barista was also very knowledgeable and friendly. We spoke at length about coffee. Highly recommended.

Last week, I visited this coffee shop. I was really impressed by the place itself. The calming atmosphere was so good. The espresso they had was very delicious and not too strong. I like the bittersweet taste of it. The cake was so delicious and satisfying. The barista was so pleasant to talk with. I will surely visit this place again.

During a recent visit to New York, my partner and I visited this place three times. The first time, we just had a flat white each and we were really happy with the friendly service and the quality of the beverages. The coffee was creamy and sweet with pretty latte art on top. The second time we came by, the coffee was less well prepared but we didn't mind too much. On the third visit we made the mistake of wanting to have breakfast there. We both ordered the egg muffin, which was by far the worst dish we ate during this visit to New York. As we sat there waiting for the food to come, we head the kitchen lady microwave two things, presumably our dishes, which already set off alarm bells. When the food came it was quite literally inedible. The muffin was bland and tasted like dust in your mouth. It had no seasoning, no spice, nothing. I can appreciate that you might need to offer a more compact menu when you don't have a full on kitchen at your disposal but this was nothing short of an insult.

An interesting coffee shop, the biggest draw has to be that it is a quite chill place just a few steps from a busy thoroughfare. The food is good, but a bit on the pricey side. The coffee, and other drinks, are great, a pretty good selection with some inspired options. But some of those options are expensive.

Very friendly coffee shop however the coffee didn't live up to the price and expectations. The nitro cold brew had a bitter almost old taste to it and the black sesame latte while interesting was a little too strongly sesame flavored. The avocado toast was quite good however.

Favorite coffee spot in the neighborhood - very friendly and excellent filter coffee. They offer a $15 pour over which is ridiculous but speaks to their coffee enthusiasm. I’ve never seen anyone order it. Great almond butter toast!

Waited 15 min to get served on off peak hours (only 2 customers in front of me when I arrived) and the latte tasted burned. Probably just bad timing/luck for me considering all the good reviews but it's annoying for a $6 drink.

Great coffee, the americano is strong and perfect to have a great start. Their cappuccino is one of my faves in NYC. Yet, the pain au chocolat was not good. Had a tasty look but didn’t taste fresh at all. Overall the atmosphere and service is very good! Ideal place to work, sit and chill, or a casual date.

This place used to be my local coffee go to. But it just keeps going downhill. The cost for the quality is not there. And is it so hard to greet your customers? You are in hospitality, I made it easier for you by greeting you first and you still couldn’t acknowledge me correctly? Also got my coffee order wrong and didn’t care.

Totally awesome! It's amazing because the staff are so friendly and attentive that I love this coffee shop. They have everything I wanted. Everything was wonderful in this coffee shop, including the service, and the taste of coffee is the most important thing. Thank you, all of you! You are the best! You are the best!

Came here Easter 2021 and a few days after. The coffee was great, but what lured me back during my visit was that avocado feta tomato croissant sandwich. It blew my mind!! So crispy and buttery, with avocado mashed with chili flakes and black sesame seeds. The service is spectacular-- kind and quick, my favorite. The space is calm and clean, a great place for a morning moment to yourself or to catch up with an old friend. Will definitely be back next time I visit.

If you care about espresso coffee then this place is a thousand times better than packed overpriced Devocion around the corner. Don’t waste your money there and definitely get to Coffee Project instead. DELICIOUS cappuccinos.

My sister and I agree that they have, hands down, the best iced oat latte in the city here! Also great pastries, and the staff is super friendly. Love this coffee shop and always visit when I’m in the area.

A gem! Coffee and staff are excellent! I’ve enjoyed pour overs, iced coffees, and cortados to date: Highly recommend. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bring your own reusable cup.

the atmosphere was nice, and the baristas were friendly and helpful. unfortunately the cold brew tasted like it had gone bad, and there's no bathroom that paying customers can use. how are people supposed to work here?

Coffee Project NY was one of my last destinations this past weekend, for my weekender trip or D3. I did not exactly know about them before this visit, as I searched for a coffee shop in Brooklyn on a whim, having been staying and exploring Brooklyn for the weekend. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I got to try this coffee shop than others. If anything, I'm a fellow coffee person with my own brewers (hario V60 and chemex), gooseneck kettle, and electric conical burr grinder at home. There are a good portion of coffee shops that do have the pour-over available, but some still have this automated to save their baristas time for other orders. This is understandable, but there's that factor that's lost when you start to automate these. This brings me to the point of their emphasis on coffee, and that I was happy to see them focusing on the pour-over. It might look really simple but there's more fine-print to it, especially that with the temperature, grinds, and the pour technique during the brewing process. In addition to these, the space is rather spacious and very conducive to either doing work or socializing with friends/family. I'm also glad that they mention having this location as a "playground" for baristas, as this empowers them to perfect their craft of coffee. Will definitely be coming back here, and may even take one of their classes to supplement my own craft of coffee at home!

The croissant I had was very bready and not good. My iced coffee was quite watered down and didn’t have much flavor. This place feels a little style over substance (and overpriced).

Coffee Project is my favorite coffee chain in NYC. This location locates on a quiet street, has good space for indoor sitting, and staffs are super nice. Must try their deconstructed latte, love the concept and the taste.
