Hala is the cafe experience that anyone would want in the neighborhood. a large space with a good amount of seating serving menu of quality eats and drinks. stumbled in here on a sleepy Saturday and was in need of coffee. the Americano came out piping hot and full of that caffeinated flavor when the day has been too cold and you’re running on fumes and it’s only the early afternoon. the coffee was quite good and did its job. while it was a sleepy Saturday, Hala was full of people working / studying so it was pretty quiet. the vibe was definitely low key. the space is really clean, well-organized, soaked in light, and has a welcoming tone to it all. the service was chipper and the warm. wish i had taken advantage of the food options (they look good) but that’s a good excuse to return. and only in Bushwick would a cafe bathroom key be named “Kevin”—do with that knowledge what you may.

Don't write reviews often, but I just needed to for this place. Been here a few times now, and honestly the place is so under-rated. The food tastes like something that could have been prepared at a five-star restaurant -- beautifully presented and *packed* with amazing flavors every single time! Highly recommend the house pancakes, acai bowl, breakfast pita, and chicken sandwich. You won't be disappointed. Aside from that, the baristas are super friendly to just chat with on a lazy weekend afternoon, and there's plenty of space to sit and work. 6/5 stars!

Indoor seating is back and the kids couldn’t be happier. Love this local gem, big, and lots of room for social distancing while drinking a good cup of coffee with their pastries. Barista is super friendly and fun to chat with

Nice personal & good Culture Coffee ☕️ Place looks clean and usually it’s very quiet. Very cool location next to the subway 🚇. Convenient that you can buy pizza 🍕 next door and sit here with a favorite drinks.

THE FOOD! Let it be known, the food here is entirely underrated. Everything on the menu is delicious. Its fresh, well balanced flavor you'd never expect from a coffee shop. Come in, get a classic cup, and be genuinely excited about whatever you order for your belly. The Farro Bowl and the Breakfast Pita are the favs.

The neighborhood now has no shortage of fancy cafes. I like this one the best. Bright and spacious. The coffee is excellent, but not so strong as to rip a hole in your stomach lining. Lots of seating, very relaxing vibe overall.

Trust an Italian man’s words: the coffee at Hala is great, good pastries and super friendly staff (Christian will chat with you about many topics). Definitely worth checking out and worth its price.

We only had iced tea, but while sipping away at the delicious refreshing drinks, we noticed how personable and welcoming the barista is with everyone. It’s such a nice place; if we’re in Bushwick again, we’d definitely return. So glad for the AC, free wifi and accessible washroom, too!

First time I ordered through uber eats. It is very expensive for the amount you get. I and my kids couldn't eat it because the gravy with the bun was extremely salty.

I’m a big pancake fan and I loved these house pancakes! I got them without ice cream. They were fluffy and buttery, with crisp edges. The lattes were solid too. Would definitely come back!

Bright, open coffee shop with great AC and a bathroom for customers. Peach tamarind latte was subtle and delicious - not super sweet like the big coffee shops. They also serve sandwiches, salad bowls and cakes.

I really liked the atmosphere here. Definitely a great place to sit down. Plenty of seating. The coffee is good too! Staff was quick and speedy but friendly is not a word I would use to describe them.

This place is perfect, delicious healthy food, coffee, and pastries and very good prices. Customer service is also great its a regular order spot for us now. The chicken sandwich is our favorite!

Surprisingly (to me) great food to me, coffee is decent (hit or miss sometimes), service is ok, but shoutout to Sydney (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) for being an extra friendly & attentive server. Good place on a regular weekday to sit down and be productive. Can get crowded over the weekend. Limited business hour (but not a huge issue for me)

I really, really love Hala. It's my go to spot in the neighborhood for coffee and a pleasant place to check emails and hang out for a bit. The baristas here are all super friendly. Like, I really couldn't say enough good things about the people. Get the sausage sandwich. You're welcome.

Amazing place. Superb coffee, excellent food.

The veggie bowl was truly exceptional, better than most dedicated Mediterranean restaurants - warm homemade pita and hummus with delicious seasoned vegetables. Bright open place with good AC, nice to spend an afternoon in

Love the ambiance and vibe but when my friend & I ordered iced matcha latte and chai latte, they’re very watery and can barely taste our drinks. Put too much ice and water diluted from mixing the matcha powder. Disgusting

Love this spot. Amazing food and coffee, pride in prep and delivery, Scandinavian style. Sydney behind the counter is the best!
