i ordered a to-go drip coffee which was decent, however, I said “no” when asked if I wanted to leave a tip, and the Barista shook his head at me when finalizing the order. If I ordered an espresso or something I’d typically leave a tip, but I certainly don’t think I should be criticized for not leaving a tip for a to-go coffee.

Nice cozy coffee shop. Good service, latte was good.. not the best expresso I’ve had but I would certainly come back and try a few more things.

Not an espresso drinker so I can't attest to their namesake but their regular drip coffee is excellent. Staff seemed perfectly nice and from what I can see it looks pretty cool inside. Update - Have been going in more regularly these days. I find it hard to believe the negative reviews on here are real. I've had nothing but very positive interactions with everyone here.

They have my favorite croissant 🥐 !!!!! It’s not the croissant that you can find anywhere, theirs is unique. The texture is not like an “air croissant”, you can actually feel the layers. That’s my favorite! Plus Must try the bear shape cookie? 👍

skilled baristas but honestly, a deeply unfriendly atmosphere. there are the understandable covid safety protocols, but the energy from the various baristas has always made me uncomfortable while waiting respectfully for my order (and before anyone jumps to conclusions - i always tip)

It may seem to easy to have a coffee shop, but enough of them does not seem to care that Everyman stands out. The barista cares and espresso drinks taste great, right temperate and amount of milk that make the espresso shot taste good and balanced. Tip: There's a bar area inside with few seatings.

Very nice ambience, well attended and suits its location very well. I had the dirty chai latte and it had a crisp, clean robust taste. Now I'm not usually a coffee drinker but this place reminds me how lovely coffee can sit in ones body. Definitely recommend trying for a superb experience. A+

So few coffee shops around here actually care how espresso comes out, but these lovely people do. This is my favorite coffee in the area by far, and there are a tooon of options.

Somewhat ironic name given the bearing of the baristas. They will ask you out loud if you want to tip, which I always do (former barista) but it is a unique business practice that I’ve never seen before—to ask that out loud rather than letting the customer just decide via a signature or tap option.

The espresso and coffee here are absolutely the best in the whole surrounding area. Perfectly brewed and strong and delicious. Those who work at Everyman are deeply knowledgeable experts about coffee (and espresso in particular), and their passion for what they do is evident. The shop is small and charming, and there is a pretty bench just outside too. One great option here is the very strong cold brew, and I love the full range of alternative milks they have available, oat, soy, almond, etc., perfect for an oat-milk cappuccino or whatever your preference is.

So many good things here: Rad sweet staff Sick coffee and tea (try the one with tumeric) Today I'm drinking an americano with hot oatmilk and 2 Splenda (that I didn't have to add myself.) Note: If you have a fear of cows (the animal), stay far, far away.

I want to like this neighborhood spot but the espresso isn’t good - it’s overly sour (acidic). I think they mentioned in another review that they underextract on purpose - why???

He was on the end of the shift, so he gave me my coffee for free. Really nice gesture

Average quality coffee, very overpriced (even for the area).

Started going to Everyman in the East Village! After I moved to the neighborhood I was sad I would be far away from it. Then I discovered THERE IS ONE HERE TOO and it's just as good. I love the unique atmosphere of this place and the friendly staff! The coffee is TOP. Highly recommend.

I go to this cafe every week or so and I love it! The staff are always extremely friendly and the drinks are great. The best part: everyone is welcome here.

This is the BEST coffee in the neighborhood, for years running. Whether it’s an espresso drink or drip, the coffee is delicious and done perfectly every time. Their staff are exceptional at their craft and feel like family, always asking about my kids, dog, life, everything! I want to give a special shout out to their new manager and current team, who have brought the cafe back to life as we emerge from Covid. Everyman Espresso is one of the best parts of this little neighborhood, come stop by!

I love Everyman so much! Truly a home away from home. The staff is welcoming and thoughtful, the coffee is consistently good, and the snacks are yummy. Great to do work or meet up with a friend. Support local coffee shops!
